No pain at all was felt or even discomfort while he injected the Novocain or while he did the surgery. I also appreciated the kindness of the front desk staff as well as Shannon the dental hygienist. The communication between Dr Guida and Shannon during the procedure did not go unnoticed. It was so nice to hear the Dr thanking her for things and her acknowledging his kindness. I would highly recommend anyone to not delay having a surgical procedure because of fear or anxiety, Dr. Guida is so gentle, kind and extremely professional. He even personally called me moments ago to follow-up on me.

The only way to describe the hygienist is ham fisted. Two different hygienists. Two painful experiences. Not just my gums either my jaw hurts also. You have to ask for the gum numbing agent they won't voluntarily give it to you. However, the numbing won't help with the way they go about the cleaning. My bottom lip hurts from all the pressure she put on it while cleaning my front teeth.

The office is spotless clean and modern. They are so focused on germ containment they don't even have the spit bowls I used to use (before coming here years ago) at every other dentist. Lights, tools and other equipment are always wrapped to keep clean. His photo technology and equipment is so far and above what I expect and have seen elsewhere. Each treatment room has an LCD monitor and they show you high def pictures of your mouth when explaining issues and treatment plans. He uses a DSLR for jaw, bite and other external shots but mostly uses a hand held special pen like camera that takes great pictures inside your mouth. You can see plaque, cavities (and every drop of saliva) which makes it easy for us as patients to understand what they are telling us. This documentation is also great because over the years you can see changes in your mouth (improvement or deterioration). Dr. Burstein also does a lot of oral surgery himself that many other dentists refer you out for. He's really a passionate, knowledgeable and personable top notch dentist. You only have to meet him and engage in some "tooth talk" before this becomes very obvious. The staff is friendly and efficient. Hygienists and assistants are also top notch; birds of a feather... My only real complaint about the practice (and I've let them know :) ) is they can be aggressive with scheduling...calling, emailing and texting. If you're overdue for a cleaning - they will let you know, and often. They used to call me to schedule for my adult children and I think I have finally gotten them to call them directly. This stuff is so unimportant when compared to his talent and commitment to his profession, however.

I did notice there were staff changes, and I know that can be difficult sometimes, but the overall care of Dr. Wing has been horrible. My 5 year old went in in January and was told he needed fillings. The Dr. did attempt to do them but my son was less than enthusiastic. In the end, we decided we'd wait a few months to try again, since they were not bad. I called today to have him seen and the dentist blatantly refused to see him citing that the "tooth was too decayed for him to do." Unbeknownst to me, Dr. Wing is not just a dentist, but also a psychic. Considering he hasn't seen my son in months and back when he did, he said the cavities weren't bad and we could wait until his June cleaning to address them again, I'm failing to see how he can see inside his mouth, over a phone, from 2 towns away. I needed an implant done on my tooth due to an injury which is a multi step process and I am so afraid to ever go to a dentist, generally I shake like a leaf and even the sound of the drill makes me want to hyperventilate. He cracked jokes with me while his nurse held my hand and endured what can only be described as digging my nails in her hand until I was calm. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

However, it got denied due to a lack of TIN. Aspen Dental now refuses to give me their TIN and says they have to give it to my insurance directly due to HIPPA, which is just not true. They also refuse to call my insurance to give the TIN to them, and my insurance says they cannot call the office. I am now stuck in a cycle of the two refusing to call each other and cannot get my money back for the service.

Right before the holidays I had an emergency root canal done at a different dental office. Four months later I was in excruciating pain. I was recommended to Dr. Luciano at the Manchester office. To make a long story short my previous Dentist did not perform the surgery correctly and we needed to redo the root canal. Dr. Luciano, Gigi, and their team provided a level of service that completely exceeded my expectations, and more importantly they save my severely damaged tooth.
