Hands down the best manicure and pedicure around. The price was reasonable, the people were friendly, and my nails looked stunning. I will definitely be coming back again! read more

disappointed. I have been a regular here for months and very happy with the salon. recently they are under new ownership and increased their prices and decreased quality. I was there exactly week ago and 3 of my nails are cracked! for $60 plus tip this is just unacceptable. I will be looking for a new nail salon. read more

The new owners are horrible. They rush you around. Try to get you out quick.. Will NEVER go back.

Whatever you do, do not get your lashes done here!!!!!! She was on the phone the whole entire time talking in a chinese to her husband and she poked my head and cut my head With her tool. She glued my lashes together and in clumps and to my skin I'm in so much pain I had to go to another salon for them to try and get some of the lashes unstuck from all the glue and my skin. My right eye is so painful and irritated it even hurts to close it, the other salon said they have never seen such a hack job and she literally glued several of my regular eyelashes to one fake one with huge clumps of glue so its constantly pulling at the roots and my eye hurts so bad. They can't remove the glue for a week because it so close to my skin so I have to deal with this pain until then. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!! read more

While the manicurist was nice enough, and did an ok job, I was 15 minutes early for my appointment at 3:30, but was not seen until exactly four. I was thanked for waiting, and I humbly replied that I understand it was busy, but at the same time, while their time is valuable for them, my time is equally valuable to me. The manicurist, who did not introduce herself, say hello, or try to make any conversation with me besides telling me to "wash my hands", which she was stern in her tone the second time because I couldn't hear her the first time, and to tell me to call next time because their online appointment thing doesn't connect to the store, or something? Unfortunately, if you allow appointments to be scheduled that way, it is on you to ensure that it either works promptly, works accordingly, or not allow it at all. When I finally was seated by a nice gentleman at the counter to my seat at the manicurist table, when the gentlelady came over And thanked me for my patience, I said that I understood and that it was my first time for a manicure-she said nothing, all while working on two clients at once. Is that a thing? Why even seat me if you're going to split time between two clients, inevitably taking time away from themselves and I? I see acute cuticle buildup still on three fingers. I also noticed that when other clients were given the option for nail polish color, why wasn't I? I sure hope it wasn't because I was a man, and all the other clients were women, or identified as such. Does also it take only 12 minutes for a manicure? Because while I was seated right at four, I was done by 4:12. The place was clean, and organized. Unfortunately, I didn't feel like I had a good customer experience here. I felt like I wasn't valued or taken seriously as a man trying to pamper himself because I feel like proper attention wasn't given, and I had to wait a half hour AFTER my scheduled time to even be seated. I do not think I'll be going back. read more

If I could give no stars, I would!!! Had a appointment at 11:30am for a wax. I showed the owner my Groupon and he said "Give it at the end." So 15 minutes go by and still did'nt get seen. Was brought into a room, that had wax and dirty towels on it. The pillow was used and dirty. The woman came in and had to change the paper on the table, as it was used by the person before me. (Clearly didnt wipe anything down). Did NOT introduce herself just told me to take my underwear off. The wax was so hot, I said something to her and she ignored me. She proceeded to rip the strips off with no words. She rushed me out of there and I was very dissatisfied. I got dressed and went to the front desk to give my groupon and the female owner this time says to me.. "You have to be a first time customer to use this." I said it says NOTHING on the voucher that I need to be a first time customer. She didnt make an exception, but told me I should get a refund from Groupon. I will NEVER go in there again. The BOH would have a field day in there... read more

Got what I paid for. Had a discounted Groupon for a Brazilian wax, and it was very uncomfortable. Had to wait about 15 minutes after my scheduled appointment time, with a very cold & unwelcoming staff. Wax was wicked hot, process was pretty painful, and bedside manner wasn't rude, but wasn't plush, either. The esthetician did her job, but she double dipped, didn't use any baby powder till the very end, and kept reusing the same removal strip every time. Overall, if you want the job done cheap, this place is fine, but if your standards are higher, go somewhere else cause this place will disappoint. read more

Do not go here! Owner gave me a pedicure and I wound up in urgent care with an infected ingrown toenail. That was after I specifically instructed her to be careful because it has been ingrown before. read more

The manicure is fine. The salon is disgusting. I got a gel manicure. When I put my hand in to UV light the surface was slimy and grimy. The plastic partician between manicurist and me was filthy. The entire surface of the counter was dirty and coated in dust. It's a filthy salon and should get a visit from the health dept. read more

I love Zazas. It's a big salon with plenty of seats and even special ones for your children. The pricing is average. The pedicure is $27 with a hot towel and scrub which is not bad. The manicure is much simpler but is only around $13 here. They have a medium sized selection of polish and takes walk ins. Just remember they don't take tip on a card. It's unfortunate but just try to remember to bring some cash if you go here. read more

I've been going here for 3 years now for a few reasons: 1) The staff here are meticulous about gel manicures! I've never once had the gel lift early or run onto my cuticles like other local salons. 2) Body waxing is QUICK (especially with the owner) and very reasonably priced. 3) The salon is clean and products are top quality. 4) The owner always remembers me, even if I haven't been in months. She is so personable and caring! read more

I am a very easy to please person. But this place is not good. A woman who did my manicure didn't remove the cuticle, and I have 1 bloody finger on each hand which ruins the entire look. You make your own choice, but I am not going there again. read more

DO NOT GET YOUR EYE LASHES DONE HERE!!!!! They glued them to my eye lids. Not my eye lashes. She let the glue leak into my eyes the entire time and it burned like hell. My eyes are all swollen and she used a shit load of glue that I can't get off!!! I have even tried to go to a salon and have them professionally removed and they could not remove them. A chunk has fallen off and taken my real eye lashes with it. $80 may seem like a deal, but now I have an eye infection and I'm missing a chunk of my real lashes. Do yourself the favor of saving a little more and going somewhere else! They are called eye lash extensions.....not eye lid extensions! read more

For anyone interested in a Brazilian or any kind of wax actually: DO NOT GO HERE Yes they might be clean and friendly but they use the SAME STICK to wax = double dipping HUGE NO NO in waxing. Imagine the person before you has some kind of issue going on down there. Now the whole wax bowl is contaminated. Nasty!!! Be safe when choosing your esthetician professional. read more

Trying to be as objective as possible about this place, because normally they are alright at being pretty standard. Got manicures with my sister here yesterday. Waited too long for chairs next to each other, never got an update from the staff. Finally seated us at chairs separate and were baffled when I asked us to be together. Quickly found us neighboring stations and began work. My manicurist had her phone constantly going off on the desk, wore one latex glove, (despite my telling her I had a latex sensitivity) and did a shoddy job on a standard gel manicure. The curing machine was malfunctioning and rather than grab another she continued to allow me to twitch and shift till I found the right position. This resulted in uneven curing which I will include a photo of. I picked a light OPI shade which is now blemished because this particular technician couldn't be bothered to swap out the equipment? Not to mention the bubbles she created through an improper painting technique. I am particular about my nails, but not unreasonable and these are pretty bad. If I were not only here visiting, I would return to the salon for removal and refund. Luckily it was my manicure not my sister's as she got engaged later that night. With this place, technician is key as the staff is otherwise friendly and competent, and the equipment is clean. read more

ZaZa Nails - The thumb and middle fingers are the worst. Those are not shadows and cannot be wiped away, those are impurities in the gel. - Nail Salons Near Me - Stoneham, Massachusetts

came here to get a Brazilian wax after lingering Groupon. I called to make my appointment and the lady on the phone told me that if it's my first time I don't need to get a Groupon cause it's the same price. So I didn't buy one. Come the day of my appointment I get lead into the waxing room by a lady who's on her phone having another conversation. No hi or hello or any regard that I'm there lol. The whole Brazilian itself was extremely painful. And not well done considering I still went home and shaved the areas that obviously weren't done. After the painful experience I went to pay and she asked if I had a Groupon so I told her I was told that it's the same price. She tells me no so I get on my phone and just buy the Groupon for the terribly painful wax. never again! read more

Worst manicure and pedicure. Usually my pedicures last me a month and within a week my toes needed to be done again. My manicure was even worst. My cuticles where so botched, my fingers hurt for days. I had so many cuts. Neither of these services were done properly. To top it off i booked an appointment and had to wait 20 mins after my scheduled time. NEVER GOING BACK read more

I had a very bad experience here today. My daughter and I went in for mani/pedis. We had appointments. I waited in the chair for at LEAST 40 mins got mine to start while hers was completed. During my manicure the technician (obvi inexperienced) butchered my cuticles -3 of them bleeding- and she was very slow. ugh, I could go on-someone else had to finish it and she put 3 coats of color making it very hard to dry. Never. Going. Back. read more

Just had the worst experience wanted dip mani reg pedi pedi burned like hell and scrub caused an irritation in my legs. When they use the tool to rub off polish it burns through the nail. This place is honestly horrible. I made the mistake of going to this place for a Brazilian wax after getting a Groupon. The lady who did the wax commented on my hair several times and charged me extra for having "too much hair" which has never happened anywhere before. To make matters worse when I tried to pay with the Groupon, the woman at the desk actually yelled at me saying I couldn't use the Groupon because I had been there before and used a Groupon there before although I had never been there. Some of the staff was extremely rude. Do not recommend at all. read more

I went here with my brother's girlfriend for a mani/pedi girls afternoon and we loved it!!! She is VERY picky (as she is great at doing her own nails) and said she would definitely return. The place is very clean and well maintained. The color selection is great. The staff is friendly and they all do a great job. I will definitely be returning and this will be my new go-to place. I encourage people to give this place a try. After just one time I do not feel you will be disappointed. read more

Rude and unprofessional esthetician. I have never been to a place that does not use powder to protect the skin during a Brazillian wax. The first time I went, my skin felt raw and sensitive after the wax so I asked for powder the next time. This should be common practice!! The chair on which you lay is also very dirty. And she does not cover the whole chair with the sanitary paper, only your butt up to your head. There is also no towel to cover yourself as you lie there and wait for her to come into the room after you have stripped. I was so uncomfortable and I could not wait to get the second wax over with (as part of a groupon package). The rest of the salon, however, looks very sanitary. read more

I never write reviews. I work in the industry where customer service is important. When I first when to za za I was obsessed - I told everyone about it. Over the past two months it has gone completely down hill. I have only a little time each month to get my nails done. It's supposed to be relaxing and fun, a reward after working two full time jobs. I asked the tech for squared nails- not paying attention - and I look down and I was horrified! Half my nails were squared, slanted different ways and some rounded- it looked like my 4 year old niece had done them! Then she got up and left me sitting there for 20 minutes. When she came back I had asked her I fix it and she rolled her eyes and spoke in Chinese to another tech. I'm sorry I thought I was paying you for a service? Then, someone else comes over because I was upset. She tried to fix them but chipped them and made it look worse. Then she took my back to add "gel" to them- I didn't ask for this and at this point I just want to leave. She saw me starting to write the yelp review and begged me to stop. I will say there was one girl (the owner) who was so sweet and tried her best to help me, but I had already been annoyed and aggravated for over an hour but other than that I'd rather go to the mall and get a 20 manicure. So sad- I used to love this place! read more

OH MY GOD. I live in Stoneham and have been faithfully going to Gloss in Melrose for many years. They're so successful, you must book an appointment 3-6 days ahead of time. I couldn't get an appointment so I thought I would try Zaza for a second time... I went once before about 9 months ago and it wasn't clean, my service was extremely rushed and each nail was crooked. I now know there is no chipped manicure and no availability at Gloss to get me to EVER set foot in Zaza again. It all started when I walked in, I said I had just called for a gel manicure appointment. The same woman that did my nails last fall looked at me, rolled her eyes and told me to choose a color. I sat down and the towel was covered in dirty nail trimmings. She asked to see my hands and I refused. I asked if she was going to change the towel. She whipped the towel up, flinging the dirty clippings all over the stations, at me and the floor. Then she folded the same towel down to the station. I asked if she was going to get a clean towel. Here's the best part.... "YOU EXPECT A NEW TOWEL EACH TIME?!?!?!?!" She stands up, huffing and gets a clean towel. I should have left right then. She scoured my nails down to nothing to remove the existing gel polish. My nails were on fire and throbbing and she kept ferociously filing away despite my discomfort. The nail file was so old & dull, it was like trying to cut steak with a spoon... She engaged in some unprofessional and rude small talk. She said "you have never been here" yes, I have. "I forget you." Okay, great thanks for making me feel welcome in your nail saw dust cess pool nail salon. Anyway, she filed my nails down to such a short length that they're tender and each one is crooked. I asked to keep the length of my nails. I washed my hands, got a good look at them and tapped out before polish. She is furious that I'm leaving. She says $10, $13... $18. I didn't even care. I paid & gave a 20% tip. She walks away without anything to say. Also- a woman walked in for her appointment and they said refused her. There were two technicians watching tv... I was so confused. I would love to see this place shut down. Go to Gloss in Melrose! It's worth booking an appointment and you'll have the best service and perfect nails! read more

Had the worst first experience I've ever had. I was looking for a new nail place in the area but this definitely won't be it. Save your money please! Super rude staff especially the lady doing my nails. I don't even know her name she never said it or id mention her. Didn't talk at all and when she did it was rude comments and was very aggressive. Don't be a nail technician if you're not good with people, period. Told everyone not to go there. read more

I'm not going here again. I made an appointment to get mani/pedis with my sister. We arrived on time. Forty-five minutes after arriving, they started my pedicure. If I wasn't waiting for my sister, I would of walked out. Terrible service. No apology, no discount, nothing. Sorry, Zaza. No more recommending your spa to my friends, and you will never see me again. read more

DO NOT COME TO THIS NAIL SALON!!!!!! Me and my mother look forward to getting manis and pedis every 2 weeks. We reside in Stoneham and convince is a big factor for us. Week after week we gave "ZaZa Nails" the benefit of the doubt. Our last and most recent experience was absolutely the final straw! We came in after a long work week asking for a "Spa Pedicure" with an extra massage. We were rudely told NO and that they were busy and had a group of 8 coming in at 3:30. They rushed through our pedis with barely any massage or nail shaping. They were only concerned about quickly getting through customers and not about the quality of their service. They are RUDE, DISCRIMINATORY, and CONDESCENDING. They simply do not care about the customers needs. One of the technicians named Megan was one of the rudest I've ever encountered! This Nail Salon is terribly managed and quality of the service is worse than any salon I've ever been too, and may I add, we have been to DOZENS. They talk about the customers in their language and make one feel very uncomfortable. read more

Don't bother making an appointment, they'll still have you waiting 40 mins before you can get seen.

I live around the area and received a giftcard to Zaza nails. I will admit that the 1 and 5 stars reviews gave me mixed feelings before going into the nail salon. I stopped in for a gel manicure with a nail technician. I specified that I wanted "squoval" nails and picked out a nail color. When she finished filing my nails and applied the nail color on the first nail, she asked whether I was satisfied with the nail shape and color. She was extremely efficient and quick. My nails turned out great. Gel manicures are $25. I would stop by again if I need my nails done again. read more

Had 2 Brazilian waxes done here. Really nice and make you feel comfortable. Would recommend going there.

I have been going here for about 9 month and LOVE IT! The staff is very friendly. The salon is clean and has a great atmosphere. The thing I like best about Zaza is that if you are in the mood for a long relaxing pedicure they will spend time and effort to give you that. If you are in a rush and looking get a quick touch up they are able to do that as well. The reason I keep returning here is the service and work is always consistent. I get a great pedicure and manicure every time. read more

I got a dip manicure there for the first time and it terrible. The shape was completely wrong the color wasn't as strong as the demo and the lady left powder all around the cuticle that left a messy finish. I definitely wouldn't recommend getting dip there. Only nail salon I trust with my nails. I only go to Megan because she knows me by now. I love that I can come here and she knows the colors I like and how to shape my nails. I have acrylics that I do shellac color over. She's good with suggesting colors. I love getting a Pedi from here as well. Detailed job and never hurts me. The salon has a great selection of colors, OPI, Essie and Shellac colors. Also, the salon is very clean and has a spa like vibe. Also sometimes when your nails are drying they give you a complimentary neck/shoulder rub- which is amazing :) P.S. Cash only for tip! read more

Good service at a good price. Unfortunately I've lost my good nail technician Annie but Tom does a really good job as well.

So happy I got my nails done to just rip them off. Do not go to the guy in chair number 5. He did my pedicure good but not my gel manicure. Seriously think my 5 year old niece could have done a better job. He didn't take his time and was very shaky. He also didn't make my nails any shape or trim them to just be one size. I have some really long nails and than some really short, does that make any sense. I also have some round nails and some square nails. Clearly he needs new glasses. I was really disappointed since I love going here for my gel manicures. Looks like I need to find a new place now so upsetting. Don't waste your money. read more
