I had high hopes after reading the good reviews from other customers but I was highly disappointed in my pedicure. First the good - I had an appointment and was taken on time. I was looking for a particular color and my manicurist asked another technician to look for it for me while she was removing the old gel - which she did with a dremmel and did it really fast! Unfortunately it went down hill from there. The polish was gel and somehow it's not smooth, it doesn't go to the edges but goes up over my cuticles. The technician did trim my nails but did not file them afterward so they toenails are cut straight across and have pointed/jagged corners. And another disappointment was the price - I had read that they were inexpensive compared to other salons. I was charged $40 (which, to be fair is average) for a gel manicure. After tip I ended up paying nearly $50 and walked away unhappy. read more

I don't understand how this place has good reviews. I asked for a full set, with a gel white polish. I got white tips and clear gel polish. They are super thin and are chipping one day post. I am someone who has always had my nails done professionally. I have been to many nail salons in Wilmington/Tewksbury line. I have always gotten a gel French, but not like this. The person that did my nails took the easy road. I paid the 45.00 plus a tip because I have class. I will never go back. Cleanliness was so so. No new items were used on me. I am not complaining about that because that is pretty standard. I would just pass on this place and go elsewhere if you want a nice set of nails. Love Magic Nails is one of my favs and I will probably go back there from now on. read more

Glad I checked this place out. Went in on a Friday morning on a whim and they took me right in for a pedicure and gel manicure (didn't have an appointment). I didn't catch her name, but she did a great job on both the mani and pedi. Cute enough little shop. Nice foot and calf massage with the pedicure. Reasonable prices. My favorite nail salon. They accommodate to you right away. When you call ahead they take you when you come in where as some salons say they can take you and then make you wait. I never tried the dip powder before since I was hesitant as to the cleanliness of it but Tiffany reassured me and it is now my favorite! They last over two weeks not once chip and it helps your nails grow. Love this place! read more

Thank you Yelp for pointing me in the direction of this nails place. There are so many nail salons in a small stretch of road and you never know what you'll get. I did a walk-in mani pedi. The staff is nice as is the place, they do a really nice job & the prices are very reasonable. My only issue & it happens in just about every salon is that I find it rude when your tech starts a continuous conversation with a coworker in their native language. I'm sitting there right in front of the tech & instead of conversing with me, they converse w/eachother & of course you have no clue what's being said. I'm spending my hard earned money & kind of being ignored & I find that somewhat offensive. read more

I was very nervous about going to this salon because I checked on yelp and could find them listed. But what a wonderful surprise this salon was clean, friendly and has excellent prices. I honestly had the best pedicure and gel manicure at Wilmington nails that I have ever had. The tech was a perfectionist making sure every step in both my mani and pedi was perfect. My friend and I went here today and we were not happy. First off I asked for her to do something with my nails and the first thing she said was "why?" ...why couldn't she just do what I asked? Then she charged me $10 extra for that small request...ended up being 35 for gel mani. She did not cut my cuticles, took her less than 15 mins to do the job. I walk to my friend and what do you know she is painting her nails a totally different color than she chose. read more

While visiting family, I stopped in for a gel manicure upon the recommendation of a friend. It has been almost 3 weeks and aside from normal nail growth, my nails still are AMAZING, no lifting at the cuticle at all!! Unfortunately, I don't know the name of the manicurist who took such great care of me, she was very nice, took her time and was careful while cutting my cuticles. I LOVE Wilmington Nails. They are very clean and they have the best selection of colors in town (HUNDREDS of gel colors and she is always getting the newest OPI colors). Definitely recommend making an appointment before you go because they can be busy since they are so good! Also they are never rushing through your appointment to accommodate others which I have had happen at other salons in the past. I suggest the spa pedicure every once in awhile for a treat to yourself:) read more
