Visited this nail salon for the first and last time, hoping to try somewhere new, but I left very disappointed. After spending 2.5 hours there, including a failed attempt at a French pedicure, I walked out with a pedicure that looks incredibly sloppy--nail polish was painted over my skin and cuticles. I also got a dip manicure that had to be corrected multiple times, and now I'm stuck with this gel pedicure--all for $87. With so many salons in the area, this one is not worth your time or money. read more

HORRIBLE! Went in to just get dip removed and she went straight in with nail clippers without removing anything. After I asked her to use acetone remove the dip first, she put my whole hand in a bowl of acetone instead of wrapping each fingertip in foil. I have many health concerns after coming to this place. I keep getting bacterial infections every time I get my nails done at this salon. The materials are not cleaned properly, causing my fingers to become infected and swollen red. I have bubbles on my fingers after I get my nails done here, and also hives. Either it's my skin and I'm allergic to something here, but multiple people I know that have came here have experienced the same issue with infected painful skin. They have pus and hard skin on their nails after coming here. Don't recommend after consistently experiencing the same issues here!!!!! read more

Located right off Rte 28 in a small plaza next to Redstone Plaza, Lyly Nail Salon is terrific. I walked in on a Saturday afternoon with no appointment and was given a pedicure within 5 minutes. The pedicure chairs are heavenly, the best I've experienced so far in Stoneham. The ladies are friendly and do a nice job. The pedicure dryers are a little weak, but that was really my only complaint. They have a very wide selection of colors and services. My pedicure was $24 and a mani-pedi is $33. I moved to Stoneham last year and have been getting my nails done here since. The place is always very clean and all the staff are very friendly. I've gotten gel manicure, acrylics, regular pedicures, and my eyebrows down over the year. The nail experience is great, they take great care with their work and are pretty fast and the quality is consistent across all techs. The eyebrow shaping itself is fine, but the wax is always a little too hot and every time I end up with lingering rawness and sensitivity days after the service. With that said, it's still my go to place in Stoneham! Oh, and the prices are reasonable as well! read more

Where did Cindy go?! I cannot find anyone who does a gel manicure or a pedicure as good as she does.

I have been going to Ly Ly Nails for years. Yes they are inexpensive and their pedicures are usually great but all they do now is push and almost bully you into agreeing to extra services. They have 3 levels of pedicures, 1: basic. 2: they do the basic and add hot stones and 3: basic, hot stones and they add a special soak and massage with moisturizer. I always go with basic but am asked a few times are you sure you don't want???? Or, try it it's not that much more expensive. They INSIST on being paid in cash, (offering a cheap discount) and make a HUGE stink when you use your credit or debit. I have been told more than once, next time you go to ATM before you come in. There's a tech there named Cindy and she's the worst, she won't let it drop about what level of services you buy, HOW you pay for it, and ask for regular polish instead of Gel polish and oh boy you are in for a sales pitch. Many people I know that go there feel they have skimped on their products. A Gel manicure would last at least 3 weeks before peeling or chipping, but my last 3-4 have peeled or come completely off in less than a week. And anyone that gets Gel polish (especially if it's a dark color) knows how bad they look when they peel. And lastly, they have added body waxing as a service. But if I ask about it that's one thing; but my mother was talking to me about getting facial hair on her chin as she got older and Cindy jumped up and said I can wax that for you. One, weren't asking about their service and the conversation didn't involve her and she was across the room when she heard it, and 2, my mom said it's OK my daughter is a hairdresser and will wax it for me. Cindy literally bullied her into having the waxing done that my mother finally said OK. Money makes the World go Round, but not always in a delightful way! Buyer Beware!! read more

I was looking to kill some time in Stoneham and found this nail salon. I walked in on a Saturday around 3pm and luckily got the last (of 4) pedicure chairs. The pedicure chairs are really great. If I would've known I wouldn't have gotten the massage I had just gotten before I went there. The women did a great job on my toes and feet and then sat me down in a manicure chair (I had asked to have a mani-pedi). The women working there we speaking another language to each other but that was okay because I was just about to finish a book so I puled that out to read. My manicurist was very accommodating about that as she worked as much as she could on one hand before switching to the other so as to not disturb my reading. She also set my up under the UV dryer so that I could still finish my book. The people who work there are very nice. There were even quite a few regulars that came in while I was there. The mani-pedi was $36. It's $32 if you're a student. It's only been a few days but after washing several dishes and cleaning the kitchen and bathroom, but mails still look great! I didn't even get a shallac. If I lived a little closer, this would be my regular place. I might even make the drive out there to go back. read more

Avoid the owner, Jason I believe. Worst acrylic set I have ever had put on my nails. Super thin, would not make them shorter even though I asked him several times. While filing my nails he randomly gets up and disappears. He comes back with a glass of milk. Drinks it. Then begins again. Rude much? And food at your work station is a huge no no. A female had given me a full set another time. But she kept an old wet face cloth on her work station that I saw her rinse in a Pedicure tub. My hand kept rubbing against it. So unsanitary. Great full set but these people are definitely violating some health codes or something. All around worse mani/pedi I've ever gotten. The pedicure was short, she payed no attention to cleaning the bottom of my feet and didn't even get a foot massage! There's a chunk of my big toe nail that's not even painted and they all smudged after she assured me they were dry. My nails, uneven and have paint all over my skin. She was far to busy answering her phone and having a conversation than to pay attention. Now I get it, it was cheap (relatively ) for a gel mani/pedi for 49 is unheard of but ild rather pay 80 and get it done right. Never again! read more

They do a quality manicure & pedicure for a fair price. This place doesn't offer extra frills like snacks or shoulder massages, but I believe you can upgrade your pedicure for a foot massage. They get get through a basic pedicure within 30 min if not too busy (add drying time to that though)..some may not like that it can be so quick but I appreciate efficiency because I usually have errands to run. I pickup a coffee from Dunkin' Donuts down the road before going here, and all is well. They also take walk-ins. read more

WORST pedicure ever!!!! Pedicure started at 7:12 and ended at 7:30!!!! My toe nails are all uneven, there is nail polish on my skin and the nail polish on my nails is all bubbled and streaky. My feet barely soaked, I asked her to scrub the bottom of my feet (normal for a pedicure and I needed it) she told me no and I asked again and she said no again! No massage and no lotion. I give it a zero. I read all the reviews, although only 8 reviews. They were supposedly known from their awards on the wall. Where they got them is beyond me. The pedicure I recieved was absolutely rushed. So much so, as the owner not only was working on me. He also worked on two other customers. In which he was very rude to me as he was flying by a quick over all job. When over an hr he was done. Mind you just a pedicure, cause I was his one of three to complete. My toes and my skin had polish all over and it looked like a four year old did my toes. I was extremely upset and when I spoke up he said. "I will paint toes again". Um no as I needed to leave. I couldn't stay, especially another hr for a polish change I felt may come out the same. I said take the polish off as this looks terrible. I ended up removing it myself. AND he STILL charged me full price! NEVER going back and making sure others are aware as this was my first and last experience. I spoke to others who had similar experiences and they didn't write a review. I on the other hand felt customers beware. Also I can't leave the stars empty as my post won't post. I went into this salon after a review from a friend. I have pink and white acrylic nails and I needed a pink and white fill. I made an appointment for after work. I went in and one of the employees looked at my nails. I said I wanted a pink and white fill and I like my nails thin and as natural looking as possible. He said that I needed a new set. I agreed and they proceeded to soak of my nails. Another woman did my nails and I mentioned that I like them thin. She said that if they are too thin they break. i have been getting my nails done and refilled since i was a junior in high school and i am now 21. i had been going to nail gallery in woburn, cathys nails in reading, and even occasional trips to the burlington mall to get them done. after discovering this place i realized i will never leave. they do such a good and careful job and are so sweet. they make your nails look gorgeous and have AWESOME pricing. If you are a college or high school student, there is a $3 off discount. They never deny an appointment and are ALWAYS on time. i have been going here for about 2 1/2 years and i will never stop. its so clean and neat try it out!! read more
