Oh I love love love this place. I love pretty far from here, about a 40 minute drive but it is allllll worth the drive. Son always does my nails just the way I like them. And when I'm unsure and go "just do what you think will look good" he does!!! Very clean shop and a wide variety of colors ranging from nudes to neons. The price is pretty regular, it's what you'd expect. Remember you get what you pay for and this place is deff worth the travel and price. And there's a parking lot which is a big big plus to me. I love this place. I used to paint my own nails, but when I discovered gel there was no better place to go twice monthly than here. All the staff is great, but Son in particular is wonderful (and hilarious). He remembers my name, asks about my life, or just sits with me in comfortable silence if I'm quiet that day and want some peace. I highly recommend going here for gels, acrylics, and nail design. I just moved to Wilmington in June and hadn't found a new nail place. At first I struggled finding a place that still did acrylic which I thought was strange but luckily Elegant Nails did! They were able to take me as a walk in and did a beautiful job! My second experience was today. Sun had remembered me from the first time I came in which is a huge plus in any form of the service industry! Halloween is right around the corner so I had a design in mind to fit my Captain Marvel costume (whole family is dressing up as Marvel characters). Sun was not afraid to tell me the design I showed was to difficult because he wasnt comfortable and wanted to make sure I was getting quality beautiful nails. I SO appreciated that. Most people are afraid of the word no but you can tell how much he cares about his final product! He worked with me to create something else that fit what I wanted and he felt comfortable doing..to be honest I think I like what we came up with better than I originally requested! If it was possible I would give this a zero. I showed the lady who did my nails this picture saying I would like this length and shape and the second picture is what she gave me. She didn't check with me if the length was ok before cutting all of my acrylics. She didn't use the right tools to cut the acrylics which I know because I'm a licensed cosmetologist myself. Do not go to this place. The employees are super rude and dismissive. I walked in and some man employee with a ridiculous looking hair cut holds 1 finger in the air telling me to hold on as he picks up the phone and answer it but ok whatever so I proceed to ask if he has a similar color for me to get a fix of 1 fingernail and let him know that I will pay whatever and wait if I need to, granted there was 1 customer in the whole place. He basically just started walking away and mumbled that he doesn't have time for something like that. Shitty customer service if you ask me. I glad I broke my nail a few years ago so I could find Elegant Touch nails. Cant say enough nice things about there shop. This is by far the best nail salon I have been too. They have a customer for life. Son, T and Pauline are very nice and accommodating to my crazy when it comes to my nails. Have recommended this to lots of my friends and even have one that comes with me every two weeks. They all make a fun and full of laughs, even get serenaded by son or T on occasion. Always happy to see the people that walk into their place. Very clean and great place to relax and get a wonderful pedicure. They are full service with waxing as well. Came here to get my nail gels done and took my friend for her b- day pedicure. Only giving one star because they stayed open to take our appt. Which afterwards I gave a $10 tip. This is why I will NOT be back... 1. Left doors open for mosquitos to attack us. The next morning had at least 15 bites. AC not working??? 2. Technicians talked to each other constantly in their language, while doing my nails. Rude! 3. Cut my cuticles way to much off. Mentioned that she was cutting said oh sorry and kept cutting. My old salon went way down hill, so I decided to check out this place and I'm glad I did! I got a $25 gel manicure. The inside of this place is way nicer than most salons. It's large and very comfy. The owner is very talkative, friendly, and pretty hysterical. Definitely a quirky character. I got my gel done two weeks ago tomorrow, and it' held up fantastic. Love love love this place. I came here because I was in the area and saw the reviews so I figured I'd try it. Son is amazing at doing nails and pedicures. He makes my acrylic nails look real. They are not thick at all. He even got me out of my comfort zone with color. I'm a black, red, dark color kind of girl and I let him pick the "summer" color the past two times and I've received so many compliments on them. The salon is very clean, the pedicure chairs have disposable plastic wraps that go around the tub so you are getting a clean tub everytime. Tracy is incredible!! She's the new owner and I'm in love!! She did a fantastic job on my acrylic full and eyebrow wax. So, recently moving back to Wilmington is rough cuz I don't own a car. I usually don't get nails done, because usually they will never make them as short as I want them. Enter Pauline. She didnt do my pedi, The pedicure was neat, as I've never had heated stones; massage was short and nail polish came out a bit chunky (my own fault, chose florescent pink which I believe I used the very last of) but pauline on nails?? They are the exact length I wanted, didn't have to go home and file them down further...52 for a full set French tip and pedicure, I thought that was very well! They have a nice big screen tv and are very sweet. Def would recommend them to others and will be going back. read more

I'd give a 3.5, but I decided to round up since we can't do half stars. I got an eyebrow and lip wax. Normally, the procedure is painful but the technique the lady used wasn't. She waxed piece by piece, opposed to just waxing the entire bottom then waxing the entire top etc. I'd go back. Whomever waxed me had long hair that wasn't tied back. When lying on the table, her hair was rested on me which made me uncomfortable. read more

Decided to try this place last minute as it's right down the street from my new home. They took me right away, and were very friendly from the start. Pauline I believe is the owner, very sweet and caring. She made sure I was comfortable before she went back to her client. I had a woman (not sure of her name) do my mani/pedi. She was very nice and thorough in her work. My pedicure came out fabulous and it was very relaxing. We then moved to the manicure where things were a little iffy. The clean up of my nails was perfect, but once she started painting I knew there would be an issue. When starting with the base coat she didn't cover the whole nail Which I knew would lead to an issue. She painted my nails sort of messy for a salon (I feel like I could've just done it myself) once I was under the dryer I noticed weird lines/bumps on my nails since the paint covered the whole nail and the base coat had not. Part of the Polish looked cracked. I was disappointed but didn't say anything because my experience was so nice. When I went to pay, Pauline noticed my nails and wouldn't let me leave. She said she'd fix them, and just did another coat over what was there. They looked better, but a day later they began to crack where there wasn't a base coat. Overall a nice experience, just wish the painting was done a little better. read more

Went today for a mani-pedi, and overall it was pretty cheap for the services they provided. The pedicure and manicure wasn't the best I've ever gotten, but it definitely wasn't the worst. They took their time and were very focused on what they were doing, however the polish job didn't come out as well as I expected. I probably could've painted my nails at home and received the same appearance that they're at right now. Overall, the service was nice and the workers were friendly enough where I would come back, but next time I would pay more attention to the nail polish they use (I think my polish was relatively old, another reason the paint may have come out a little sloppy) and the end result to determine if this place is worth being a regular customer to. read more
