I recently moved to the area and found this salon to be the best after visiting 3 different salons. Previously, I was with the same nail artist for more than 10 years. That being said.. I look into nail lengths matching, shape, technique, and cuticle work. Initially, when I entered I wanted an acrylic refill but they let me know nobody was available to make it happen. As I hadn't called before or made an appointment they accommodated me for dip quickly. Tou was extremely kind and would ask me how I felt about the work as she went through the process. The nail techs are very kind and patient and Nancy, the owner, is so friendly. In fact, she has personally helped me fix broken nails all the time! I've never even had to wait more than 5 minutes to be seen and I'm always happy with the end result. Some nail techs are more gentle with the dip manicure than others; I highly recommend seeing Helen for dip, but honestly, everyone is so kind and accomodating I can't say that you *shouldn't* go to anyone else. Best place around! I've been coming to Glamour for over 7 years and won't go anywhere else. Helen is my number one, I ALWAYS request her and no one compares. She is very clean and neat with her technique and she is the only one who knows how to cut out painful ingrowns during my pedis. Nancy does a great job too and a bunch of the other staff I know have many regulars. I think many of the negative reviews come from walk-ins and/or inexperienced technicians, but it's hard to say. Updated review* I use to go to this salon two years ago, and was nothing but impressed. I moved away, and then recently came back to have a dip manicure done. I was a walk in one night. Long story short, I was not happy with my manicure. It started to crack and chip 2 hours after I left. The salons manager contacted me and was very apologetic and offered to have it fixed at a time and day that was convenient for me. I saw Nancy today and I'm so happy with my nails! I attached a before and after picture. They'relook perfect, Nancy is so sweet and excellent at what she does! Went to Glamour Nails for a pedicure on the 26th, it was honestly the worst pedicure I've ever had! I used to come to Glamour all of the time when we lived in Woburn, but once I moved I haven't had a chance to get back. I'm not sure of the name of the woman who did my pedicure, ( middle aged with red highlights) but she clearly had no idea how do clean up cuticles. The toes on both of my feet have been completely cut up and bleeding for the last week, it's painful to walk, and that's never happened to me before! I've just been coating my toes with Neosporin I know that the tools are always sanitized at this salon, so it's obviously a matter of this woman not knowing what she's doing. To top it off, all of the polish smudged off of my big toes hours after I left the salon, so I think she didn't use a top coat to seal the polish?? Unfortunately, I won't be returning to Glamour after wasting $40 there !! read more

Im new to the area and so I was a little skeptical to get my nails done here bc I wasn't sure how they were with SNS. For many places, SNS is still new so they don't have many colors and don't know what they're doing. HOWEVER THIS PLACE WAS AWESOME. I had Helen and I came 30 min before closing, & she still took me and took her time. She didn't rush anything and made sure they were perfect, even though it was way past closing time. Even though it did take awhile (hour and a half) I LOVE my nails so much and will definitely be back. If you have no idea what SNS is, I would definitely recommend it for anyone who gets gel or acrylics. With SNS, Its healthier for your nails with added calcium and vitamin D, and last so much longer!! Not going to lie though, once you get them off your nails won't be pretty. But I think they're def worth it if you're already messing up the nails by getting gels or acrylics. read more

Don't even know her name but I heard them say " Ana" it was rushed she began to file my nail down with 0 preparation, no cuticle removal no pushing back no nail cutting nothing just a file. Then began the dip process, after she did it she tried sending me home with some crazy cuticles and began to tell me they looked fine when I specifically told her no i don't like it. Giving this place 3 stars because the first time I came here was on a Friday afternoon and even though it was beyond busy in there, I was taken right away and the lady took her time. My gel manicure lasted a week and a half! Went here again last night and my nails are extremely uneven and it looks like I got the manicure a few days ago... (Refer to pictures of blue nails) Gave it another shot and not even a week later my polish is chipping, cuticles are peeling & bleeding. After many years going to this place and telling myself I'm going to elsewhere, today finally solidified it. I was returning after only a week and a half because my mani pedi chipped after 2 days and was looking terrible. I am certain that it was the technique the woman used that made it this way. And of course, when I returned, I was assigned to the same woman again (my fault, I should have specified). She reprimanded me for cutting my own nails, which I did to hide the chips in her poor manicure. She wasn't paying attention and filed my cuticles roughly twice. She pushed doing dip instead of gel (again!) because it would "last longer". I asked her why she was applying topcoat to my nails first, and she replied that it is bond. It was not bond. It's pretty obvious why her manicures are not good, she doesn't follow procedure. There are several really good at this place, but there is no standard and the likelihood of getting someone who doesn't know what they're doing is high. During the first 2 visits I had regular gel mani pedi done, this time I tried dip gel French style by Nancy and I am so happy with it. It's so pretty, neat and fast. My wife and my mom went for the manicure to this place last week. Frankly speaking, the experience was terrible. Let me explain. Firstly, the employee sanded several nails too deep in the nail. My mom was telling them several times to stop but the nail master was just grabbing her hand and continued sanding. That employee finished the manicure for my mom. Secondly, the result was bizarre, therefore, another person redid the whole manicure. He tried to add extra support, however, because the nails were thinned that much, and it did not help. Thirdly, three nails still cracked around 1/8 inch from tip where the nail still grows. If you still go this place, stick to the person(s) who always did your nails, and do not let anyone who you do not recognize. read more

No breaking, cracking, etc. I've never asked for a specific nail tech and have never been disappointed (have notably had Danny & Lan who were great). I came in for a last minute appointment today and had Amy and she absolutely KILLED my pedicure, manicure & eyebrow wax. Most impressed by my nails (that's the main reason I go!!). The French ombré is a 1000/10, the almond shape is a 1000/10, she even created the NICEST apex (curve) to my pretty thin nails. I have gotten dip manicure since 2017/2018 and this is by far my favorite experience yet. Very kind & patient with her work. Cant say enough great things about Amy!! This place is expensive and does not delivery the quality they charge for. It's run like a factory. They did not have soap in the water for pedicure, the water was cold and then almost burnt me it was so hot. They didn't clean underneath toenails at all which I found odd. To top it all off the lady cut my toe and made me bleed and didn't even clean up the blood afterwards! Not to mention the fact that the woman I had was extremely unfriendly and never had even smiled once! I will never go back to this place and am telling everyone I know to avoid it! read more

Went for the first and last time here. I had Nina do my pedicure and she was rather on the rude side. She barely cut my toenails and at one point it looked like she was pretending to do so. I mentioned that there was polish that wasn't fully taken off and she barked at me that she wasn't finished. The four stars this place had was insanely misleading. Now I'm typically easy going and understanding but my nail technician was so rude and did a horrible job on my full set. She had no bedside manner and kept yanking my hand around. I asked for longer nails and she straight up said "no". This place had pretty decent reviews so I gave it a try. The receptionist was really nice, but the actual beauty techs didn't seem like they wanted to work... Mine didn't even file my nails or clean off the nail polish she got on my skin. What really disappointed me was when she accidentally touched my undried nail, made a dent and didn't even redo it but slabbed more nail polish on it. The regular manicure only cost $14 though. We called around to find a salon where masks were optional, and this was the only salon we found. I called and they took us right away. We could not be happier!! The salon was buzzing with happy customers, the manager is super sweet, did a fantastic job, and the other techs who did our pedis were great. The place is clean and "safe" with shields seperating customers, workers were masked, and some customers chose to wear masks, while othes didn't, yet the environment was still positive and professional. I am extremely particular about where I have my nails done, and when I recently moved I was hesitant to switch to a new salon. Glamour Nails did not disappoint! I walked-in tonight around 7 PM for a gel-mani. The place was packed, and I thought for sure I would have to wait for a while. However, they took me right away. They have an enormous selection of gel polishes. I was amazed at the color choices, and spent quite a while deciding. It was so helpful that they had sample nails of each and every color. The service was amazing! I had Thu (pronounced Two). She was perfect. She took her time, everything was clean, and the end result was great. I also appreciated that their gel drying machines did not require me to expose my entire hand to the UV light. It was designed so that only my fingertips were under the light (I had never seen this before tonight). I am a perfectionist, and Glamour a Nails met my every expectation. When I came here, she took care of my concerns and was very gentle with my nails. She took her time and when i accidentally hit the corner of something, she was happy to fix it for me. I requested another SNS. I was able to make appointment last minute. The salon is quite busy but with an appointment you are taking care of. They do welcome walk-ins as well. Great selection of colors. They offer gel and regular manicure. As well as other services such as waxing. I added removal of cuticle for additional of $5.00.
