It had been a solid five years for me to get bac out to New England to visit my family. I was reminded of a few things during my visit. One of the best parts of my visits is having time with my sister. This is her spot where she gets her nails done on the regular. She was a nurse and keeps her nails natural and at a reasonable length. I say this because I also have natural nails and I RARELY allow a manicure at a nail salon because I have discovered time and again that it is a waste of money as they barely do a thing so a few days after I look like I never went to begin with. It was amazing how they treated my natural nails as great as places do for the fake nails because i have only encountered that here. During this visit I was a total tragedy and was apologizing for the horrific state of my feet. They were amazing and my feet loo human again thanks to them. Due to tissue issues I can get a horrible amount of dry skin and they took that all away. Also, I appreciate how clean they are at all the stages so that space is very tidy. And my nails looked perfect for two weeks and the only reason they were looking old is that my nails had so much growth. read more

I opted for callous removal. The woman cut my foot and missed half of the dead skin on my heel. She put my socks on before I stood up so I didn't know until after I got home later in the evening and it started to hurt. It was a big chunk of skin and still hurts. I thought it was unhygienic because they would stop my service, handle cash, and then continue without switching gloves. They also use the same cuticle trimmer and cuticle pusher on every client and don't clean or use new tools per client. I thought that was quite odd. Grace Nails in arlington use new tools every time for each client and seem much cleaner. I know it was busy time of year to go but it was a very rushed job and i really recommend Grace Nails in Arlington as they are consistently giving quality services and are very hygienic. The idea of the germs and reusing the same tools made the whole experience uncomfortable. I would not recommend this place to anyone because of the quality and hygiene of this place. read more

I no longer like trying new nail salons because they usually don't listen and still end up cutting, snipping or filing cuticles. I'm sure it is out of habit but Suki really knows her craft. I have been to Posh Nails a few times and found the services very different from one staff member to another. They are all looking for that next customer who might be coming in for service, so they rush through what they're doing on you. Also hard sell for different services such as green tea pedicure. Some operators are better than others but they take short cuts when they can. They charge too much money for just a regular mani-pedi. I do not recommend them over any nail salon. read more

Ive been going here for a while and today i felt very uncomfortable and a little violated. I recieved a mani and pedi which was ok, one was doing my pedi while another was doing my mani at the same time felt a little rushed but they seemed busy so i just let it go no big deal. Im 9 months pregnant and a little slow and forgetful so i go to the register my total was 88 dollars which is fine i give her my credit card and she tells me im all set so i leave and head to my car. I get in my car and the lady (not sure what her name was i forget) follows me to my car in the parking lot and knocks on my window ans scares me so i ask her if everything was ok with my credit card and she said "yes but you didnt tip me" and i apologize and said oh im sorry i forgot (you know being 9 months pregnant due tomorrow) and she goes "you NEED to tip me" with an angry voice so i gave her $10 and she walked away and said nothing. The whole situation felt very uncomfortable and i will not be returning and neither will my friends. You dont scare someone in their own vehicle and angrily yell at them. Customer service in this salon is the worst! They mistreat their employees in front of clients, overbook appointments, take walk-ins even when overbooked, and overcharge for their services. I used to love this place. It used to be consistent and the service used to be good. Last few times me or my friends/relatives have gone, they've rushed you in and out. I made an appointment last week at 5:30. I didn't get seen until 6:15 because a large group without appointments came in before me. The woman then rushed through my manicure because it was close to closing, cured gel polish onto my skin and under my nails, and didn't put any lotion or anything on my hands after (which is usually done). I was still charged full price. I had to ask her to clean up my fingers after. All in all, not impressed. read more

Great manicures and pedicures!!! I've had gels and SNS manis done and I love them both here. The SNS dipping powder manis are fantastic. They last two to three weeks and no chips. Very reasonable in prices. Plus, they don't go crazy with cuticle cutting and you get a hot wax treatment with gloves and a massage while you finish up. The pedicures are incredible. Used to go to Posh for pedicures because they were AMAZING! I decided to give them a try again, under the new management, and have NEVER been more dissatisfied. I called and made an appt., showed up a few minutes early and then sat and waited. The manager told me, "Just a few minutes because all the chairs were full." She finally sat me, after 15 minutes of waiting, in a pedicure chair without any water. (At least let me soak my feet while I'm waiting!!) after five minutes of sitting in the chair, a technician came over and literally rushed through everything! She never asked if I wanted my nails cut down but instead starting filing them so hard that it hurt. After waiting 20 minutes for my appt. to begin I was SHOCKED when the pedicure from start to finish lasted only 20 minutes!! I went in with tired, sore feet and was looking fwd. to a great massage. Not even close. I could have saved myself the time and money and done better at home! Definitely not the old "Posh Nails.". I will NOT be back!! read more

i made an appointment about a week and a half ago for a mani pedi at 9:30am. I got there around 9am so i waited in my car and went in at the time my appointment was. When i went in the lady said i had to wait an additional 40 minutes even though my appointment was at 9:30. i asked her why and she said it was because she had to do another lady's nails before mine. when i told her that wasn't possible and how i had already been waiting for a while she said that she didn't care. overall it was very unprofessional and would not recommend and if you do end up going double check your appointment. read more

My sister and I went for mani/pedi's. We both got the lavender treatment and gel nails. My attendant never introduced herself, so I cannot tell you her name. What I can say is, she looked like she wanted to be anywhere but there. She never had me dry the polish on my toes, so I was not surprised that by the time I got home, one of the nails was chipped! She also cut my fingernails so close to the sides, 7 out of 10 fingers are very painful 2 days later. The worst thing to top it off...my sister was charged $95.00 and I was charged $110.00! When I called to speak to a manager, I was told they were not in, and explained the situation to the woman on the phone. I got no where, and she even implied I was lying. When I asked when the manager would be in, she said "I am the manager", when I questioned her on it, she stated her husband was the manager. I LOVED IT HERE!!! It was seriously the bet manicure I've had in a long time. I got the gel manicure and its thin but sturdy. The technician was simply amazing, a really sweet girl named Katie. After my manicure I thought we were done---nope. They took me over to the sink where they scrubbed my hands down with an Epsom salt/essential oil blend and then dunked my hands in paraffin wax. As I was waiting for the wax to set, I was given a shoulder massage. And it was only $30?!? I could walk here and plan to once the baby is born. We ran in for a quick pedicure while we were waiting for my friend's oil change across the street! We were skeptical at first because of the rating on here but we were proven very wrong! The place was very clean, spaced out, and relaxing. They let my friend sit next to me in the empty pedicure chair while I got my toes done without any fuss at all, and didn't pressure her to get a service done when she said no. On to the pedicure. This woman took painstaking care to make sure my feet were pampered! Cuticle care, sugar scrub, heated oil for my ankles, and a hot stone massage were only some of the benefits that came with the posh pedi (only 30 dollars!!) I had a fantastic experience, and the owner and or manager (couldn't tell) even ran after me out the door to give me my coffee which I forgot. I'm actually shocked at how rude the people here are and how they treat customers. I'm writing this from the pedicure chair at Beauty Nails in Reading because I had to walk out after an unbelievably horrendous experience at Posh Nails. I thought I would try Posh because I had a gift certificate so I called up and made an appointment well in advance for two pedicures at 5PM. I got stuck in traffic so I called BEFORE my appointment and asked if it was OK if I was ten minutes late. I was assured that I would still have my appointment and to come there for 5:10. When I showed up before 5:10 they said they had rebooked me for 5:30. I reluctantly agreed to wait until then. The place was packed so we tried to wait standing by a wall next to some benches, since the benches were occupied. They told us no we have to sit and they moved some women's bags and told us to sit and this lady thought that I made him move her bag, it was so crammed I was practically in her laps. At 5:30 they had us sit in two pedicure chairs and one of them had a broken massager while the other one worked. I asked him do they have a chair that works and NO LIE he said "I'll give you a shoulder massage later" umm no sorry we're not friends like that dude. So he puts our feet in cold water with no jets or bubbles on and we sit there for ten minutes waiting. A woman comes over and says do you mind if I do your friends pedicure first and then yours? Just completely irresponsible when I made an appointment but obviously not this woman's fault she's not the owner. So after she asks us that, I asked her can we move to these two chairs right next to us that are empty so that I can have a massager on my chair.... especially if I'm gonna wait for them to do my friends pedicure first.. the guy comes over and says "sorry we don't have time for you to move". At that point it was clear that he was just being spiteful against his customers because he got mad when I asked him why he changed my appointment time. When he said that we literally got up and left and when I went to get out of the chair he pulled the plastic from the foot tub with my feet stuck in it still and said "fine then go" while yanking on my feet. We walked out and I called Beauty nails who said they had time to take us for 6pm. We show up and are greeted warmly, seated and given pedicures (at the same time ) within 5 minutes, offered water and given some incredible pedicures by friendly technicians. What a complete 180 from trashy rude Posh crap- icures. Take the extra ten min and drive to Beauty nails. They're great. And if anyone wants to use my Posh gift certificate as kindling for a fireplace you can have it read more
