The wait time was ridiculous and the service wasn't much better. I saw someone walk back and forth with my order between other cars and the store multiple times before finally getting it. The egg rolls were practically burnt and the only thing we could taste on the fried pickles was salt. No pickle flavor even. We will not be visiting this place again. read more

Before I could say anything the lady handing me the food also handed me a full refund and apologized. She saw the issue and handled it on her own. Wasn't at all impressed the last time I visited. The large fry, as you can see from my picture, is pretty chintzy. The sandwich was good (hence 2 stars instead of only one), but management of the restaurant must be really terrible, because when we were there, they were COMPLETELY out of all diet sodas, on the floor and at the drive through. That's not broken machines, that's bad management in ordering supplies ( like diet soda syrup). Additionally, they didn't even tell us diet sodas were out until we had already purchased drinks! I stopped by Zaxby's on my way out of town today and must say that this was the worst fast food experience I've had in some time. I went in expecting to get a quick meal to take with me on the road. However, what happened was that I ended up waiting 15 or more minutes on my food. Believe me, I was not a happy camper!! So, what made the experience so bad? Well, first off, the Zaxbys staff seemed clueless. I saw many customers waiting for their food, and there seemed to be no communication from the kitchen to the cashier staff when food was ready. I could see that several other customers were upset as well. In fact, I overheard one customer talking to a Zaxby's employee about a bad experience he had the last time visiting the store!! It seems like there's definitely a trend here! As for the food, it was just okay. I ordered a Cajun Chicken Sandwich, and it was doused with way too much mayonnaise. The taste, however, was acceptable. Also, I was trying to be healthy during this visit, so I ordered a side salad instead of french fries. The salad cost one dollar more than the fries would have cost, which is sad because the salad was nothing more than a few pieces of chopped up Romaine lettuce. Clearly not worth a dollar extra! Doesn't it seem a little crazy that, in order to eat healthy, you have to pay more. read more

As far as Zaxbys go, this location is par for the course. I love the food at Zaxbys but remember it is fast food, fried chicken. This is a good place to swing by after shopping at the Tanger Outlets that are just across the street. I tend to get the big zax snack meal which is tenders and French Fries. This is an affordable meal that is quite filling. You can get this meal for just over $6. The chicken wings are also very good at Zaxbys. read more

I've had better wings. It was a bit pricey, (almost $30 for 2 adults and a child) but overall not too bad. This location in Mebane is fairly new and is pretty easy to find and get in and out of. Not a big fan. The food is just okay. I have an irrational hatred for crinkle cut fries, and this place serves them. The Texas Toast they serve with their meals is always dripping with butter.
