Living in Los Angeles but from North Carolina. When I visit I like to go by Zaxsby's to get their delicious chicken. Visiting this location, the service was good, food fresh and delicious, easy process with drive-Thru and Covid regulations. There was an issue with my debit card and it was charged a few times instead of once. The manager, Kevion, was especially helpful. He resolved the issue and refunded the money In a timely manor with wonderful customer service and professionalism . Kevion is doing a awesome job at this store. read more

Tell me how 6 people is understaffed. You 2 up front 2 on DT 2 in the kitchen. Stop making excuses and do your job. Thats just lazy. So I order mobile, go through the DT, they say theyre understaffed and to come inside. I go to grab my order, they need confirmation, its on my gf phone who went to the bathroom, then when she comes and shows them they dont need it. Make up your minds man. When you stop here, dont be in a hurry. I thought I had time today. I ordered through drive thru and was asked to park in the #2 spot. There were already two other cars parked and waiting on their drive thru orders. After waiting over 15 minutes, I went inside. I learned they only have ONE cook for inside, drive thru and pickup orders! The staff are young but they had good attitudes and were apologetic. I give them 3 stars. I appreciate it but it's bad for business that it takes so long to get your food here. I'm not a fan of zaxbys food but my kids are. Today I ordered the chicken tacos. I should have known what to expect when you put a fried chicken tender in a soft taco shell. Have very low expectations becasue they are not very good. Salty, messy, underwhelming and average. I stopped here to redeem a free meal. The customer service was great but the food fell really short. I don't know if I would've felt comfortable paying $10 for a meal here. The fries were cold, the chicken was overcooked, and the soda machine need to be fixed. It was quite a mess. The best part was the sweet tea. I know your probably thinking then why go back, I come back months later to see if anything has changed because as a girl from Georgia I love zaxbys. Waited 16 mins in the drive thru line, unable to get out of line to be laughed at when said something about the car in front of me spinning tires causing a big cloud of smoke my mother who has lung cancer was breathing in. So I went inside so I could talk to manager. Christopher didn't even look much less speak to me, told the kid in drive thru to tell me to cancel my order online. I went to Zaxby's today hoping to get a salad and some wings. I got into the drive through line and as I was about to order, a young woman put an orange cone in the road and said "we're closed". Mind you, it was only 2:30PM when I went to get food. The excuse was that they were short staffed but every other person in front of me in the drive through was able to order and get their food. For all things chicken this is the chain to hit. Sandwiches, salads, chicken strips and bone in wings too. The place is brand spankin new so came by to help break it in. I had teriyaki wings with fries which came with a drink and celery sticks and a side of ranch dressing. The wings were crispy, but on the small side. I visited a location in another state a number of years ago and the wings were huge. Guess those days are gone. The fries were crispy and covered with a heavy heaping of seasoned salt. I'd ask for them salt free next time as it was overkill for me. They have one of those Coke freestyle machines, which is cool because there's so many flavors to choose from. Diet Raspberry Ginger Ale?! The employees are super friendly. Everything is made to order so it's not super fast, but that's okay. Long waits in drive thru at Martin Luther King Pkwy innDurham are normal, over 20 minutes today Jan 6, 2023, even when there are not more than 4 or 5 cars, they got my order wrong, asked for a club sandwich, all I got was a piece of chicken with sauce between two pieces of toast, pulled up to the window and paid, then I was told the French fries were not ready, even though between ordering and pulling up to the window 10-15 minutes elapsed. They're really trying to persuade customers to go somewhere else. No receipt given, no napkins either. Went inside previous time, only sit down cust inside, and they lost my order. Went to the counter after 15 minutes, their look was one of confusion when I asked politely about my order. This was my very last visit to a Zaxbys ever. read more

The location seemed to be clean and well kept from the outside. There wasn't much of a line in the drive through so I decided to take my chances. Once My husband placed our order. He ordered the honey butter& bacon sandwich. They informed us that they were out of bacon but they could still make the sandwich just no bacon on it. My food was good and tasty, which is vitally important. My co-worker said his boneless nuggets were not fresh, but the chicken fingers were. However, once again the restaurant was in disarray at the start of the weekday lunch rush (11:45am). The ketchup was empty. The Freestyle machine was out of about half the base sodas. There were some flavorings out. The sweet and low bin was empty. Salt and pepper were low. How are these things not stocked and ready to roll for the upcoming lunch hours? This isn't the first time I've seen it this way. To top it off, I was denied the use of a coupon that I received in the mail from their Zax Mail Club. They said I needed to use it at a franchise store. Wow! I've never been denied the use of a fast food coupon before based on corporate versus franchise. Lastly, at your prices you can do better than cheap crinkle cut fries. Get in to the hand cut game, like Five Guys or PDQ. read more

Wow! I love Zaxby's, but this location is awful. I've had two bad experiences here. The first one involved them not having any grilled chicken for a salad. The server said they were out for the rest of the night. How can you be out of chicken at a chicken place? This last time involved a Cobb salad with no bacon, barely any grilled chicken (guess they were about to be out again), and almost all iceberg lettuce rather than romaine. I complained to the manager Anthony, and rather than make it right, he told me that is how they are prepared and I could pay extra. I should pay extra when my salad already is comprised of iceberg lettuce, one grilled chicken nugget, and bacon that I had to make a return trip for?? Sorry! The food is pretty decent. The reason for 1star is I've been here about 5 times this year. Every time I come I use the drive Thur. The amount of time that you wait for you food is unacceptable. I have been to this Zaxby's several times due to its convenient location. However, my visit today broke the camel's back. I wanted to order a Sprite with my meal and they were out of Sprite. Got to the window and needed a drink tray (because I ordered more than one meal) and they were out of drink trays. I understand that sometimes a restaurant may run out of items, but between this experience and the young girl who was working the window, I'm done with patronizing this location. Countless times I've been in the drive thru line for 10 minutes and it hasn't moved and I call, and they said they are closed for the day. WHAT? Let a man know. Or they ran out of chicken. Used the drive through one evening and the service was slow and their credit card machine couldn't read my card even though I used it at Target moments ago. The chicken fingers tasted dry and felt like they were under a warmer for a while. Drive through was very slow for not a lot fo cars. It's spring break for college students. I am not here often. My mother and I just wanted to redeem rewards and spend time together. We stopped by and our food was supposed to be ready at 5:49pm. We get there, check in, and it's radio silent until 6pm. I call Zaxby's and even whoever answered the phone had an attitude. They still took an extra 10 minutes to find my order and bring it out to my car (it definitely lost the warmth of the food). The icing on the cake was when the guy who brought our two food bags and drinks literally DROPPED them into my window onto my lap without handing them. He didn't even speak a word to us. The second meal landed upside down in my car. As a college student come on I've worked so many customer service industry and restaurants and even I actually give my customers service. This place should not be run by a bunch of kids who want to sit on the clock and get paid hourly to give customers horrendous service and attitude. This location on Martin Luther King Blvd in Durham has the worst customer service. The cashiers, waiters, cooks were hanging out up front just goofing around being very loud. I noticed the tables were dirty and no one was in there dining areas so should not be any dirty tables. I would never recommend anyone to come to this location.
