This was our first trip and an okay visit. We got chicken strips and crinkle-cut fries. The chicken fingers were alright, with fairly crispy breading and a juicy interior. The flavor of the breading was fine. We liked it with the sauces. We tried the "sweet & spicy" & the "teriyaki.". The fries were mostly crispy and were topped with what tasted like seasoned salt. It worked, but was a bit too heavy for my taste. My favorite thing was their drink machine because it allowed you to mix a lot of options. The gentleman working the counter was friendly and helpful and the interior was more visually pleasing than Taco Bell or Chic-fil-a. I saw the ads for their new lemon pepper chicken as was very excited to try it out. Wrong. We both ordered the LP fingers and they were basically inedible. There is so much seasoning it makes them super salty and almost bitter. I know the first ingredient in most dry lemon pepper is salt but WOW. Swing and a miss. The rest of the meal , fries were half seasoned and half missed the shaker, slaw was nothing special. Texas toast was done very well! I was a bit undecided on what I wanted for dinner this evening. I ended up choosing Zaxby's and what a good choice this turned out to be! A very friendly staff member named Alex waited on me. He was friendly, professional and helpful. After finishing my meal, we engaged in conversation for a while. Very friendly person and easy to talk to. He made my experience even more enjoyable! I ordered the four piece chicken fingers dinner. The meal comes with French Fries, cole slaw, Texas Toast, and a fountain beverage. The French Fries are crinkle cut and healthy sized. They also give you a moderate portion of fries. Chicken Tenders were fresh and tasted great. What made them better were the variety of sauces available to dip into. I chose the Zaxby's sauce, spicy sauce and tongue scorcher. I loved the Zaxby's and spicy sauces the best out of these three! I ended up using extra of these sauces. I found myself dipping the fries and toast into these sauces. I also had unsweetened iced tea. It was good but I've had better at fast food restaurants. I liked how they have the Coca-Cola style machines you typically find in movie theaters and some other fast food restaurants. It's the style of computer screen with push button choices with many different sodas. The sodas from this type of machine usually taste so much better. The interior of the restaurant was clean and it impressed me that Alex was cleaning and keeping busy. I also like how they have half-booths (for two people) to sit at. The dining area has a nice vibe. Overall, I enjoyed my experience a lot here. I will make sure to eat here once more before I return home from my adventure. Wish they had these in Colorado! I am in town for business. Back in Texas, I have had consistently good meals. Today I ordered the traditional wings. Buffalo Garlic and Teriyaki. Both sauces have really great flavor. The wings themselves is a different story. They are very small, my pointing finger was longer than all of them. The wings were also over cooked. The buffalo wings also had very little meat on them. My coworker ordered boneless wings and they were also over cooked. Very dry and chalky Before leaving the store, I informed the manager that the wings are being over cooked. I also informed the the sauce added to the wings is perfect and have really good flavor. Since the wings are smaller, he needs to adjust the cook time. So on many occasions I have eaten at this place. Today the service at the register was great. Food came out promptly. The chicken was hot and fresh. I ordered a house salad with fried chicken. Weeks after a romaine lettuce recall they still do not have romaine back in the salad. When I asked they said that the salad is being made with green leaf and iceberg. Actually, it was all green leaf. I saw no iceberg lettuce. This is a chain restaurant. I would expect that they would find a way to notify the customers of changes like this without the customer inquiring. Signing or something. Salad looks better that it tasted. May 7th I decide to give them another try. We ordered 2 salads a Zensation and a House with fried chicken Both salads were delicious. I was disappointed after paying over $2 for a fountain soda they have no Minute Maid Lemonade or Light Lemonade in one of those mega machines that offers tons of flavors. Must be harder to manage than limited flavors Stopped by Zaxby's for a couple of House salads with friend chicken. The line was incredible slow. When they took my order they were friendly. And then I waited some more. I ordered 1 of the salads without tomato and cucumber. Hubby does not like either. Most of Zaxby's is fried chicken but I went with the Cajun Club chicken sandwich, which arrived grilled (not fried) with a small stack of crinkle cut fries. Surprisingly good with lettuce, tomato, two slices of cheese and their "Zax sauce" I understand is a buffalo-ized ranch dressing. The fries were nice and crispy and topped with a sprinkling of a pepper salt. Delish. I managed to eat the entire sandwich but resisted half the fries. Yay, me! My lunch companion had the Zansation Zalad, which looked good with a lot of lettuce and pieces of chopped fried chicken and the Honey Sesame dressing. Drinks are available via a Coke fountain and I drank at least a half gallon of the yummy Minute Maid "lite" lemonade, refilling to go. Lunch for two was $16. I looked at the reviews before coming here and I was hesitant. BUT, I thought it was pretty good. You order at the cashier and then they call your number for you to come get it. The wait for our food wasn't too bad. Customer service was pretty good as well. I liked the inside décor/environment because it was decorated somewhat nice for a fast food restaurant. At least it is different then your typical fast food/casual dining place. I ordered the Grilled Chicken Sandwich and it was good. My husband ordered the Chicken Finger Sandwich and liked it as well. My daughter had the kids meal and ate it all, so I think she liked it haha. My husband and I split some boneless chicken wings and they were good, I love me some chicken wings haha. Oh yeah, I almost forgot to write about Zaxby's. I heard about this place from my coworkers and how they make a pretty good chicken sandwich. I think to myself, great... another chicken sandwich place. Haven't we got enough of those? I've already seen Chick Fil-A in the area. At first glance, the menu looks like it's filled with the usual chicken strips, wings, and sandwiches. But when I finally had my chicken sandwich, it was completely not what I expected. Instead of the boring burger bun, it was 2 pieces of "Texas toast" which has basically bread perfectly grilled with a ton of butter. In between, there were 3 pieces of crispy chicken strips with their "Zax sauce" which tasted like a combination of buffalo and ranch sauce. I typically LOVE this zaxbys. food is amazing every time. however, I'd say probably 75% of the time they forget my sauce. I don't want to sound nit picky, but their sauce is my favorite thing on the menu, and so I look forward to it. that's on top of me paying for extra sauce every time I visit. I was so SO EXCITED when I saw there was a Zaxby's while staying here in Bentonville for work this week! I had only seen them back in the south, specifically Savannah, Georgia and parts of South Carolina. They actually chop their salads here!!! Honestly, I LOVE their House Salads with the fried chicken, fried onions and cucumbers . There's actually something about the exact mixture that makes it taste PERFECT! Also, the Zaxby's sauce is amazeballs! I actually feel in regards to their fried chicken and house sauce that they trump Chic-Fil-A in taste and just the right crispiness! Several months ago I went through and ordered something to eat at Zaxby's and when I got my order the box had honey mustard all over the outside and it got on my clothing. I mentioned it to the manager and she told me to come in anytime and she would replace the meal and she was really sorry that it had happened. Zaxby's is a staple, go-to lunch venue for me. The food quality here is superior to most fast food chains and the selection is great. Try the teriyaki sauce if you dare, it's pretty addictive. I personally recommend the Zalad with blackened chicken. Something else to consider here are the catering items. We've purchased salad trays that are essentially a carryout salad bar and the setup is terrific. Add in a tray of wings or strips, and you'll have a far better (and cooler) lunch than those stacks of pizza everyone else seems to bring to events. read more

I was at the zaxbys off of J St., bentonville last night March 25. I hardly ever eat at Zaxby's but last night I just went since it's close to home. I went in and the place was nasty, sticky floors and a employee standing there doing nothing. I placed my order, and waited for about 30 minutes when there was no one there. In the mean time while I was waiting another customer came up and got his order, he was standing there for a few minutes for someone to help him. A zaxbys employee that had his hair in braids came up and helped the guy. I don't know what happened but I heard the employee call the customer a A-hole. A manager came up and started stand up for the employee, and I got up and told the manager what happened. The customer service at this place is terrible, I will not be going back. No matter what how a customer acts there is no reason for a employee to call a customer a A-hole. The food I got was terrible, it tasted like they soaked it in salt. read more

I really like the grilled chicken salad which has lots of fresh, leafy romaine, diced cucumber, and tomatoes and lean, well-seasoned grilled chicken. I much prefer the salad to the similar version at Chick-fil-A. I also like that the salad comes with a side of Texas toast. The fried chicken fingers and fries are very similar to Cane's.
