TLDR: Consistently poor customer service, condescending attitude from management, and disregard for customer satisfaction at Zaxby's has left me reluctant to return, despite its convenient location. ***deep exhale**** I usually save my Yelp reviews for fine dining, but my recent experience at this Zaxby's was frustrating enough to merit a review. Management at this location should be aware of the ongoing issues with customer service and the dismissive attitude that seems to define this establishment. Last Thursday, I ordered a five-finger chicken plate through the Zaxby's app to skip the line and earn some points. The app has a limited drink selection and doesn't allow a "choose drink at restaurant" option, so I've been selecting apple juice instead of ordering a drink I won't enjoy. When I arrived to pick up my order, I politely asked the cashier to swap my apple juice for a small drink. The manager (I assume) jumped into the conversation, scolding me in a condescending tone for ordering apple juice if I didn't want it, explaining that it messes with their inventory. I tried to clarify by asking if she'd rather I order a drink I wouldn't consume and simply pour it out, to which she shot back, "You need to select the 'make in store' option next time and stop ordering apple juices." I found this response unnecessarily condescending, especially since I would have chosen that option if it existed on the app, which I pointed out. As a paying customer, I don't appreciate being spoken to in such a dismissive way. I really do enjoy Zaxby's chicken tenders, but the management at this location could benefit from some training in customer service. I've noticed the same rude and dismissive tone from this manager on other visits, and it's left me reluctant to return. For now, I'll avoid this Zaxby's, even though it's close to my home. I'd rather go elsewhere and be treated with respect than continue being talked down to by someone who clearly doesn't prioritize customer satisfaction. read more

I visited this place in Atlanta. I purchased a salad. I found it to be expensive and small. That was in June and I have never went back.

I was getting my car worked and came here to grab some lunch. The inside is clean. They have one of those Coke freestyle machines so you have a large selection of drinks. I ordered the Wingz and Thingz. I got 5 traditional wings in garlic buffalo sauce, 3 tenders with spicy zaxby sauce, texas toast, fries, and a drink. I also ordered the funnel cake with caramel sauce. The wings are amazing. I really like their sauces. I wish I could buy the sauces to take home. The chicken tenders are above average and the spicy zaxby sauce is also above average. The texas toast is good and the fries and really good. The funnel cake is inexpensive but it seems think and it falls apart. The caramel sauce tastes good but is extremely thick and is a problem to spread on the funnel cake. read more

It's funny how some fast food locations are just SO much better than others. This is THE Zaxby's to go to in the city of Atlanta. With saucy sandwiches, seasoned fries, and buttered bread, there is no lack of flavor. Not to mention the service insanely friendly! In a time where social distancing is a must, and local restaurants are depending on delivery to survive, what can be more frustrating than if your delivery is wrong. Well! Zaxby's is doing things right by double checking and making sure orders are correct before they are sent out. Historically, I'm not a fan of delivery because 8/10 times, restaurants almost always forget to put in the sauce. But given the environment right now, I have no choice but to depend on the restaurants to get my order right and this zaxby's location has done that time and time again. If you are like me and craving zaxby's while you're stuck between the walls of your home, give this location a try and let them show you how much they appreciate your business by not only getting you the sauce you requested, but by also throwing in another one just because. Loved everything was amazing the french fries have an amazing team. Season to perfection.

Service never disappoints. Food can be a little salty sometimes but it is fast food afterall. I prefer getting their salads. Not the blue salad because I don't like raw blue cheese. Staff was nice... BUT I ordered the Southern TLC Sandwich and fries, which I waited for about 10mins for and it was all cold and blan. Asked for honey mustard and zaxbys sauce...recieved neither. I discovered Zaxby's earlier this year and can't believe I didn't try them sooner. They have some delicious chicken and are a wonderful gem in the East Coast. Being from California i've never had the opportunity to try them when I was younger, although apparently they've been around for quite some time (20+ years!) I've tried their Wings & Things menu item a couple of times which is plenty for one person but a little small for two people. The Wings & Things includes a few wings, a few chicken tenders, toast, fries, and a few sauces. Please note, this particular combo does NOT come with a drink which I didn't realize on more than one occasion. Their wings are definitely unique and tasty, although I would put their prices in the ball park of a little pricy. My cursory fast food place update! Periodically necessary. I still endorse the fingers heartily and have also become a big fan of their House salad: this baby is very generous in size, with mixed greens, red cabbage, tomatoes, carrot strips and fried onions (I opt out of those). With their honey mustard sauce (my pick) or even with the Zaxbys sauce (whatever is in that delicious creation is simply yummy) this is a great pick for easy lunch or dinner, both with the grilled and the fried chicken. Today, I couldn't decide whether to get fingers or the salad with the same chicken, to go, so I decided to go with the smallest size fingers (5) and bring them home to try to create my own version of theirs! I varied my ingredients a bit (you need bacon in a house/club salad, right??) but the end result was just as good as theirs. It was definitely the chicken that makes the salad! read more

This place could be better. Both the person taking our order and the manager on site could not explain how the wings were priced and how many flavors you could pick if you get 20 wings. At first the person taking our order said you could get two flavors when you order 20 wings, but then she charged us more for it. It was ridiculously confusing. After explaining to the manager the confusion we faced he offered no consolation for the fact that the person taking our order was being confusing. We ended up buying less wings because we were just so frustrated with both of them! I got the canjun chicken sandwich which came with fries and a pickle..but no drink? On my first night in Atlanta (Fine. Sandy Springs) my sister insisted that we eat Zaxby's for dinner. Fine. She promised that it was the best chicken. When it comes to fast food chicken I've had a) KFC b) Chick-Fil-A c) Popeye's d) Church's e) Raising Cane's and now Zaxby's. This particular joint wasn't busy when we rolled up at 9:00 p.m.-ish. No, no, no, I have never really understood the 'Love" of this place I have stayed away from this chain because up until last year there wasn't one in the area and two the commercials drive me nuts. Breading is thin and doesn't seem to have any seasoning the chicken needed the sauce in my opinion. 2 - The staff seems to be enthusiastic and friendly upon entering but are unable to answer some basic questions about the ingredients in their salads. I was a bit confused so I chose the Blue salad w/ blackened chicken while the chicken was tender and tasted good there is nothing blackened about this chicken The salad had a nice enough flavor that I didn't even use the dressing. But the staff ....? 3- Fried mushrooms were are probably a best forgotten treat from the past, for some reason these are sliced not sure why and are so full of grease they became inedible after the first 2 or 3 slices ewww. Maybe leaving them whole would solve this problem ? 4- Nibbler Snack Meal - I asked that the fries be crispy they were not in any way. I work from home sometimes and almost all Mondays. I wanted Zaxby's Sun night but it was 8:50 and they closed at 9...I didn't want to be that customer so I decided to just go for lunch Monday. There was one car in front of me. I ordered and the person on the other end seemed a very short. When I got to the window it was confirmed. My food was $7 even...the girl gave me my change back. I said Thank You and the girl just stared at me with a blank stare. Also, she rolled her eyes at me...it was beyond rude. Why roll your eyes at me when I'm being courteous. Ugh. I ordered the Kicken Chicken sandwich meal. It was fine. Not something to drive far for, not something to complain about. Chick-Fil-A is across the street and it's always their pleasure to serve you. Roswell Rd has too many food options for me to come back and deal with the attitudes at Zaxby's. Especially when the food is nothing super special. read more

Usually a fan of Zaxby's, but the staff here has a had time staying on task. The other day I was stuck in the worst kind of traffic and was dying for a drink to make it the rest of the way home. Also knowing I someone at home who was starving, I decided to get them a snack. I went thru the drive thru and got myself world's largest unsweet iced tea (I had to repeat UNsweet twice) and then ordered a couple of appetizers for the house. The staff was so busy (I guess) having fun inside and no focusing, the girl could not even repeating my order without laughing - I couldn't even understand her (plus she couldn't understand me). I drove around and she tried to apologize, but again, she was having a hard time keeping a straight face. I had to pull forward to wait for the food (at least it was fresh), but it turns out the mushrooms were so greasy they were inedible. They need to spend less time screwing around and focus on their jobs. It may ONLY be fast food, but that doesn't mean you cannot do it right and do it well. read more

For starters, I like this Zaxby's because it's right next to where I get my oil changed. Also, this location had a 100/A Health Score the last time I was there, so I was extremely happy about that. The staff seems to be very nice and always gets my order right. They keep the location clean. I usually get the grilled house salad while i'm waiting on my car. No problems with the food thus far, so i'll definitely be back the next time I need to service my car's oil. read more

Definitely one of my go to spots for lunch! I love their grilled chicken cobb salads, always fresh and has everything I like on it. Their drive thru window is extremely fast and this is key on this part of Roswell Rd as most places are packed for lunch in this area. Today was my first visit to this location. I came though the drive thru around 1pm for lunch and this was probably the best ordering experience I've had of any Zaxby's location. There were two cars in front of me and I waited no more than a minute for each person to pick up their order at the window. When I arrived at the window, my food was ready. We exchanged money and food and I was out. My fried House salad without cucumbers was made correctly and tasted great. I'm impressed! read more

I handed him ten orders typed out; he reassured me all orders will be perfectly prepared, and numbered appropriately so handing them out back at work was simple. First, English is not the first language of anyone that works there and I find myself having to have them repeat what they said both in the drive-thru and at the counter. Went through drive through and ordered a big zax snack meal with a cookie milkshake. The total was almost $10. To me this seems a little overpriced. When I got the milkshake, it was leaking down the sides and the lip was covered in shake. I looked inside and it was only 2/3 full! I then asked if they could get me a new one and the manager (it seemed) said "This is how our milkshakes come I'm sorry." Then I asked about the price of a milkshake and the upcharge on the meal (since I didn't get another drink) and I did not receive a clear answer.
