DON'T REWARD BAD BEHAVIOR!! This is what Jimmy John thinks about Handicapped people needing to park. There is only one Handicap parking spot and Jimmy John thinks it's for their Delivery people to park in. When they don't park at the Handicap parking, they still park illegally right next to it. This makes it impossible for a handicap passenger to get out of the car. Don't Reward these people for their Bad Behavior!

I think Jimmy John's is a pretty decent sandwich chain. I'm not a huge fan of the bread they use, but the other ingredients are generally fresh, the subs are made fast, and the employees are friendly. Each sandwich runs about $5-6, less if you're getting them without veggies or sauce. There are about 20 varieties to choose from. My favorites are the #12 Beach Club and the #15 Club Tuna. The Beach Club comes with turkey, provolone cheese, avocado, cucumber, sprouts, lettuce, tomato, and mayo. The sprouts are my favorite thing about the sandwiches here. The Club Tuna has similar ingredients as the Beach Club, except tuna salad in lieu of the turkey, provolone, and avocado. The Club Tuna comes packed with plenty of tuna salad and it's good. The subs are 8 inches long and come on 7-grain or French bread. It's not the softest or tastiest bread, but the other ingredients help make the sandwich not bad overall. This Jimmy John's location can be found at the corner of 14th St. and State Street, west of the interstate. This is a popular spot for Tech students due to the store's proximity to the school. You place your order at the register and wait for your sandwich to be called. Fountain drinks are self-serve. The sweet tea is very good here. The shop is typically clean, the parking lot is small, and there is limited seating inside and out.

After waiting an hour for delivery we literally had to WALK to this location to get our food. The manager said that it would be 3 hours before our food would arrive .. that's ridiculous for a damn sub sandwich. I like jimmy johns but it hurts that they switched on me like this..

Unprofessional. Placing aprons in between the soda machine & trash can due to a leak(?). I'm pretty sure there's a better way.

I'm a huge fan of Jimmy John's. Always have been. I lived in Arlington, TX (Dallas), LA, and now in Florida. I've eaten at a lot of JJ's on road trips from the West Coast, to even up towards Pennsylvania. I'm getting somewhere with this. All JJ's are consistently fresh, fast, clean, and friendly. At least from all my experiences. EXCEPT FOR THIS LOCATION. We walked in, and they were either leaning and talking, one was sitting in one of the booths (not on break/lunch, but waiting on an order to deliver), or prepping something else. No one greeted us, though they all saw us walk in. I noticed about 7 employees. No other customers were in this location when we walked in. It just felt awkward. We get up to the register, gaze up at the menu, and the young lady at the register just stared at us without greeting us. She waited in silence. She didn't even offer to help with the menu. Are we just supposed to kill the silence by starting our order? Would she be ready? Is she the one taking our order? Yes, awkward. After our order, there was no "Thank you." She gave us our change in silence. I mean, we only spent under $20, so it must not be impactful on their profits for them to care. Fast forward to the food. It wasn't "Freaky Fast." At all. The slowest JJ I've visited. Now the food was fresh and delicious. JJ has always been consistent with that. The manager (he wore the different style JJ uniform) was too busy prepping and chatting with his employees. No acknowledgement from anyone. From top to bottom. Also, it seemed like they had a leak by their soda machine on the floor. They dumped a bunch of towels/aprons on the floor in between the machine and the trash can. So unprofessional. I get the concept of doing that. But honestly, you're not busy, assign one of your employees to consistently mop the place up, so it won't have a dirty appearance. So it won't look trashy. I posted pics of the place. Check them out. Jimmy John's won't lose my business, since this is, I'm sure, a franchise issue. Hopefully, corporate reads this. It's a shame for all other locations.

The chicken was alright, but I wouldn't say it was the best I ever had, let alone consider it the world's best. This joint is located in the lower hub, but I believe there's also an outside street entrance. Upon entering, we were told to sit anywhere. The interior is rather dim, and it wasn't super clean as there were still some crumbs on our table from the last people who dined there. There is also a very casual feel to the place, exemplified by the fact that food is served on styrofoam plates and paper trays. FOOD: 2-Piece Dark (Thigh & Leg) (4/5) - Chicken was nice and crispy, but nothing crazy special to me. I was expecting it to be spicier. Liked it more with the Louisiana hot sauce on the table. The chicken rests on a slab of white bread and is served with average slaw and sweet baked beans. Fried Okra (3.5/5) - First time having fried okra. Not bad, and I guess frying it eliminates the slimy texture associated with okra. SERVICE: I am not usually one to complain about service. The person who served us was sweet when we did interact, but it was so hard to get their attention to order and get the bill. But beyond that, the kitchen was noticeably SLOW. My brother and I literally only ordered one plate/portion to share since we wanted to try more places, but it took over half an hour to receive our food. They do emphasize that food is cooked to order, but I still found the wait to be baffling. TLDR// Come here or don't, but if you do, make sure you are not on a time crunch. Maybe I am just being harsh because I was expecting more from a place claiming to have the world's best.

The answer now, as then, is "What'll ya have?"? Of course you have to get a couple of hot dogs with chili and cole slaw, with a side of fresh chopped onions and some mustard to add to the heart burn. Some onion rings, and a Frosted Orange (ust get one, it's big enough to share with your spouse or sweetheart.) The Varsity claims to be the largest drive-in in the country, if not the world. Maybe it is. It covers two city blocks, seats 800 inside and has space for hundreds of cars. It now has eight locations around Georgia, some of them spic 'n span new, but my heart will always be on North Street in Atlanta, where the restaurant had its start in 1928. Some things have changed. Prices are up. The people that take your order seem a little more patient. And no longer are there special lines for women (and the Athens location, now closed} doesn't have to 'splain anymore why women aren't allowed inside.

You'll need to add some salt, but they're not bad. The rest of the food was awful. AWFUL. The frozen orange tastes like medicine. The chili dog was overcooked. And the chili hamburger is an abomination that should not exist. Think a combination of a crappy hamburger and the worst sloppy joe you've ever had. I just assume this place has to be trading off a nostalgia. The service was slow to the point of indifferent. Many of the tables are dirty. But, it's huge enough that you'll probably be able to find a clean table. What'll ya have? How about some syrup of ipecac.

If i did, I would be some bad ass grandpa still reviewing on Yelp at 118. This taco place named after a car is rather divisive from a review standpoint. On Google, crazy rave reviews, but on Yelp, mediocre would be an accurate description. By the time I ordered the food which was 9pm in the evening, I was just super hangry. Aside from an early breakfast, all I had all day was a donut and an ice latte. So whatever food that comes my way should be super delicious, right? The takeout took awhile to come. And the flavours were lacklustre and unauthentic. The first tell would be the tortilla. They were definitely store bought and were not corn tortillas. They were also a bit dry and hard. I had the grilled mahi mahi. The fish was ok, but overcooked. The biggest problem was the lack of sauce. Adding some salsa would have been nice. They were also very lazy with the avocado. They just put a wedge at the top of the taco filling. So every time i held onto it to take a bite, the avocado pops out. The other taco was the low country boil which is essentially a grilled shrimp taco. A lot of the taco does not match the menu description. They were supposed to use a spicy ranch sauce, but it felt like a really weak ranch with zero spiciness. They loaded up the taco with corn, but most of the other stuff including peppers and tater tots are not noticeable. Tim Lizzy is to me one of a very long list of tourist traps in the downtown Atlanta area. I wouldn't waste my time and money here.
