Usually pretty busy so ordering ahead is a good idea, but, they don't keep pre-orders out where you can just grab it...so you kind of end up fighting through a crowded counter anyway. You yell out your order to the line and they start building your sandwich immediately. This is what an authentic delicatessen should look like and sound like. Everything here was tremendous! The rotini pasta salad is made with feta cheese, and olives more Mediterranean than baklava, tossed in their own house made Italian dressing! Yum! My go-to here is the roast beef with cheddar on sourdough - mayo and brown mustard. Grilled. But when I tell you Claudio himself brought over fresh horseradish to smear on my roast beef sandwich, I was skeptical. I am 100% convinced at this point and my life has forever changed. Reuben's Deli is located in downtown Atlanta. Street parking near the restaurant can be difficult to find but we found a metered parking spot a few blocks from the deli. The owner greeted us upon entry into the deli. The restaurant has 2-top and 4-top seating at tables spread throughout the left side and back of the deli. You order at a counter near the back of the deli. The servers create a fun atmosphere and yell out when a sandwich is ready. They also offer soups and daily special (see my photos of the menus) As a sandwich order is placed the deli counter servers yell into the back kitchen area and the bread is prepared and brought out to the deli prep area. The meats are added to each sandwich and the deli server asks what condiments and vegetables you want to add to the sandwich. Each sandwich is cut in half and wrapped in paper. You pay for your order at the pay station near the front entrance. You can add chips or drinks to your order when paying for your meal. My better half and I ordered a New Yorker Reuben with double meat and split the sandwich. It was piled HIGH with pastrami and corned beef and included sauerkraut and cheese. We had it dressed with spicy mustard. What an awesome and delicious meal. If you are in the downtown area and want an awesome sandwich and fun experience you need to try Reuben's Deli. read more

Fast, fresh, and flavorful! Great value for my Turkey Club! This thing was huge and delicious. Absolutely loved the pumpernickel bread too. Everything about this sandwich was just right. Reuben's for the win! I had been looking at this joint for over a year now and we decided on it today due to a convention we attended in town. We may have been one of the first customers in and I like it like that. Upon walking in we had a warm, friendly welcoming. The guys were super nice and happy. Great attitudes and all. By it being our first time we didn't know what to order. Since it's called Rueben's deli, I had to opt for a Rueben and I'm glad I did. That baby was packed full of meat. This was the best damn Rueben I had ever had! My wife got her a beef Philly. She said it was really good! The storefront was clean. We decided to eat inside. As good as most delis in the Northeast, which is a compliment. The service was exceptional - fast, fun, and inviting. The meat is Boarshead and shaved. Each sandwich is highly customizable - dressing, condiments, toppings, etc. Though deserving of a five star review, I would say that the rye bread wasn't a true NY deli rye. The bread, a key part of any sandwich, was adequate, but more of a "rye" from Strohman's rather than a true Jewish Rye. read more

I was tempted to ask what brand they use, but decided it's best if I don't have easy access to it. As for the bagel, it was good! It had the right amount of chew and the cream cheese wasn't heaped on too thick as so many other places do. I was bummed the pumpernickel wasn't available, but maybe I'll get a chance at it the next time we're in town. The owner Ike's to think he's a comedian and literally told a customer that was in front of me, ( that seemed to be very nice , and respectful ) , that he reminds him of a racist joke . The customer was like you talking to me ? Parking is limted in this off the main road deli in downtown Atl. I had been seeing Katz Deli ads on my reels and it was making me crave Pastrami. I ordered a pastrami/corned beef Ruben. Reuben greeted me when I walked in the door. He's a chatty guy who has a joke and a smile. I was caught off guard at first being that I am tatted and bearded when he said "we don't serve tattooed bearded guys here", but I quickly played along and we had a great laugh about it. We were in town last weekend for a football game and were looking for a quick bite. We came across Reuben's. We were immediately greeted by very friendly staff and directed to the spot to order. The menu was full of suggested sandwiches as well as the option to build your own. We had 3 different suggested sandwiches among 4 of us including 2 actual Reuben's. It was absolutely amazing! The sandwiches are good but are overly priced. On an average a sandwich combo is going to run around $16-20 bucks.

This place has just taken the number one spot in my heart for the best sandwich in the whole Atlanta area. I absolutely recommend it for anyone that doesn't have social anxiety. If you do have social anxiety just know that you will have to shout your order over the counter in front of everyone and you'll also have to shout out what you want and don't want on it. That is just how the ordering process goes here but do not get me wrong these were the absolute nicest people you'll ever meet. Now if you do go through that and get a sandwich the quality is phenomenal. Amazing soft bread with wonderful flavor and the boars head meat is always top notch. Also you get about a half pound of meat on each sandwich here. They say it's only a third but it is absolutely more than that. It's probably one of the most stuffed sandwiches you'll ever get without it just being comical. It was fantastic and a perfect size to fill you up for lunch. Anyways I hope I find myself in this area again or somewhere close because I would definitely make the trip for the best sandwich I've had here in Atlanta read more
