This was some of the worst customer service I've received from a zaxbys. The man that took our order through the speaker greeted us with, "you can order," I asked for a few minutes and heard nothing back. After a minute or two I said I was ready and was greeted with an increased attitudes with a, "you can order" We drove to the window and I asked if I could add one last minute item he rolled his eyes and asked, "do you want anything else," .... He then proceeded to hand me our drinks by saying "here" every time he handed me a drink. Then when he handed us our food I said, "thank you." Don't bother going to this location. They are always understaffed and on a recent visit we waited over 30 minutes for our food in the drive through before giving up and leaving. When we called to ask why people behind us had received their order before us they said some orders are more complicated than others despite the fact that we ordered the standard items anyone orders from zaxby's. Went in to purchase their new chicken club sandwich. I walked in and should have just left because the building smelled of burnt oil, which means they haven't changed to fresh oil to make quality food. I ordered the same thing for me, my son and one of my employees. We all had the same experience of the chicken tasting burnt. I was in the same location two weeks earlier and got the Zensation salad. The chicken was hard and burnt. The egg rolls were just as bad. So, I decided to give them a chance to correct the service opportunity. I went into the store today and asked to speak with a manager. I was told they would be with me in a moment. 7 minutes later, I decided to walk out and attempt calling. I couldn't reach anyone at the store after multiple attempts. So, I decided to call the corporate customer service line. They direct you to call the store for faster resolution of your concerns. This is the way Zaxbys does business now. They don't care about quality or service and, therefore, definitely not the customer. I place an order on their app. (That was my first mistake) Arrived when they said it would be ready. Check the place where the SIGN THEY INSTALLED saying online orders. After waiting 20 mins I waited in the order line to ask about it. (Yes I know waiting to ask is on me.) The young look at me with the confusion of a rock and repeated "online order?" These kids aren't trained properly or aren't good enough to be in this business and that's a pretty sad statement either way you go. So Zaxby's got started in Athens (I think) and this one isn't great, but its always been okay. I mean, I've only eaten here twice and I haven't had fast food in a few years, but both experiences were fine. As far as fast food goes, if you're looking to get all 3-4 thousand calories for your day in one deliciously unhealthy meal with little to no nutrition, this place is where you should go. However if I want an extra sauce which I already paid for, that was an extra .25. Lesson: be friends with Steve and and you eat for free. If you are a working person with children, eat anywhere else. So disappointed. I tried to talk to the manager and all she did was quote me Zaxby's policy and price points as if I'd never been to their Shangri-la before. I had to actually explained how to deal with an upset customer. Maybe Zaxby's could actually train their managers to be humans.
