Absolutely stupendous! Cali N Tito's is an unassuming space with a walk up counter and picnic tables all around the building. You order at the counter, and then your food is brought to your table. It's a fairly streamlined operation with tons of options. The boys had burritos, and I got a steak quesadilla with tostones. I would have loved more of the sauce but all in all it was fantastic, authentic, and super reasonably priced for what you got.

Cali N Tito's is an Athens STAPLE, hands down. I have been here a few times over the past 10+ years, but I had just recently gone to Athens to celebrate a friend getting his MBA from UGA. Cali N Tito's is some pretty authentic cuisine. They have a pretty big menu filled with non-traditional items as well as some common traditional ones. You will definitely find something you like. I got the original Cuban sandwich and my wife got the chicken Cuban sandwich. Both tasted incredible. It was all so flavorful and they did not skimp on any of the meat at all. We also shared the fries too. They were nice and crispy and had just the right amount of salt. They have a full bar too, so you can get something alcoholic to drink if you like. I got one of the frozen margaritas (I got strawberry.) They also have plenty of non-alcoholic options too, like coke products and juices. Cali N Tito's is also pretty big. There are plenty of places to sit inside and there is plenty of parking as well. The inside decor is colorful and vibrant and there are many things that will remind you of Latin America. A bunch of flags and Latin American themed decor. The service is good, but it can be kind of slow sometimes. We came on a Saturday, and when we first got there, it wasn't too busy, but within the hour, it got packed, and there was a line at the register. But it is definitely worth the wait. I highly recommend Cali N Tito's, and I would definitely come back if I find myself in Athens again.

Extremely Popular Fast casual Athens pad, always packed from nearby local college; v cool eatery to chill. My Fish Burrito was spectacular and v original; A first fo me. Loaded w veges legumes beans grains n fish, w additional plantains, great. You'll need to ask for their homemade habanero sauce; :) Has a cool large outdoor space, with palm trees, umbrellas, and a boat, to relax and eats. Blastin' Peruvian music I think. No booze, they byob. Next Time. Cannot Wait to Get Backs to Athens n few months.

    Lunch time!

It's wonderful to return years later to Cali N Tito's and discover the quality and deliciousness of their food has remained the same. It still has that eclectic, college dive feel with inside and outside picnic table dining. Tamales have always been my "go to" when eating here, and today they were so good! The salad hubs ordered for me was very fresh, topped with delicious sliced avocado, cherry tomatoes and diced cucumber. The vinegar dressing was light and allows the fresh veggies to sing! The basket of chips with salsa is $2.50- not complimentary. They are crispy and the salsa is homemade goodness. My only complaint is the chips basket needs a larger serving of salsa. Still the same order at the counter window, and they bring your order to your table. Can't wait to return!

El Sandwich Cubano was to die for! This place is the bomb and certainly one of the best meals I've had in Athens. Great atmosphere and stellar menu.

Everytime I tell the hubs "let's go to Cali n Tito's" he gets super hype. So today we decided to try their second Franchise. The ambiance is just as cool as the other one and their service was pretty basic order here and get your food later. Don't expect to get a waiter! The food was great and very flavorful. Overall it's a great spot to grab a bite in Athens.

-service is quick, but it gets really busy so come early -cubano bread is fluffy on the inside but also nicely toasted -chicken was nicely cooked and not dry -empanadas were perfectly crispy -fries were cooked well -would def come again if I came to Athens -fun and colorful atmosphere

This is place was so nice! We got the tacos and quesadilla. The chicken quesadilla lunch combo with the fries is so yummy. Be sure to ask for salsa too! The salsa verde was super fresh, and this place is close to campus!

Close to UGA, you find this fun and popular spot. Locals rave about it, and we had to try it. There is no table-side service. You order food at the counter, pay, and receive a number. Food will be delivered to your table. Food took a little to be ready, but you can see by the picture how busy it got. The bread for the sandwich is light and toasty; you can tell it is baked fresh. All the ingredients were fresh, and it worked together nicely. Prices were reasonable, and the portion was perfect. The sandwiches were $10, and I only ate half. I loved the fun college-town vibe.

Food was great. The beef empanadas was some of the best I ever had. The steak burrito was also great, I will just ask to not add the beans next time. My husband had the burger and he really enjoyed it. We will definitely be back.

School buses, picnic tables, barrels, old movies playing on projectors, arcade games, all in really bright colors... something else. No refills except for tea and water; the water is available at spigots attached to the support columns with barrels underneath. Yeah, really. Food was good. Not fantastic, but good. There is a playground area outside for kids; truth be told, I'm not sure if it's a legit playground or yet another aspect of the decorations, but it's there. Seats aren't very comfortable. It's either picnic tables or fairly flimsy chairs like you'd have at an outdoor program. I was pretty uncomfortable after a few minutes, but I like to sit back and lounge in a chair. If you don't mind leaning forward your whole meal, you'll be fine. A fun experience: emphasis on experience.

We were immediately seated an enjoyed cocktails -- I had their version of a margarita. It was smokey but not overpowering. My friend enjoyed the sangria. We split the potatoes, cheese board and the gluten free chicken shawarma pizzette. The potatoes were the best and I really liked the cheeseboard too. The jam made the cheese flavors pop! For our entree we split the short rib which was perfect since it normally comes with two pieces. It was so flavorful and delicious. We didn't sty for dessert since we had a GymDawgs meet to get to and they seemingly didn't have a chocolate option. Great service. Great food and great drinks.

It took me a while to get a drink. Started with some tapas, the mushrooms, the potato's and the dates. The mushrooms were good but over battered. Could even tell you were eating mushrooms. The potatoes were not fully soft and lacked salt and flavor. The tomato spread on top also lacked flavor. The dates and manchengo cheese was just werid in presentation and hard to eat. We had to order bread, not something I'm used to especially with the tapas. Ordered the branzino for 2. Others ordered the steak and pork chops. The steak came out cold and the pork chop was overcooked. The branzino was nice, but the sides were cold. One of our party ordered another beer which he did not get until I summoned the manger over. All in all- overrated Food-1.5 Ambiance-meh Service-1

I went (alone) at 4:00pm to grab a quick bite before a bread making class 2 doors down. Only one booth was occupied, so great timing! The young lady that sat me also was my server and she was so sweet, and knew the menu well. She also pointed out that although I had just missed the lunch deals (till 4:00 which is great) that Tiki Happy Hour was until 6:00 pm with certain cocktails at $9 instead of $13 along with several reduced small plates like $3 baja shrimp or fish tacos normally $5. Empanadas were included. I've posted pics of all the menus and the Tiki happy hour. I had my heart set on the garlic shrimp which is a regular appetizer served with garlic toast bc it was my favorite at one time. Of course, it still is scrumptious although the shrimp were ever so slightly over cooked. I also had the Colado de Pineapple and boy was it DELICIOUS so was the Havana mule that I had next . I had a nice buzz for the bread class after both of them. The place is still spotless and the ladies room was sparkling clean. I can guarantee I will not wait so long before my next visit!
