My family and I went to this restaurant last night. We received the worst service I've ever seen in my life. when we entered there were two groups in front of us, and it took 15 minutes to get to the counter. When we did it took 5 minutes before we were even addressed. I placed my order and my 3-year-old's order stepped away, and the attendant stepped away looked in bags walked around the corner talked to some employees, then returned to take my 13-year-old's order. He walked away again with my wife standing at the register wanting to place her order so we could eat after waiting for almost 30 minutes. He repeated the same process again and we walked out. Everyone in The South has been to Zaxby's. There's one on nearly every exit off the freeway in Georgia, South Carolina, Florida, etc. It's standard chain food. What separates each location from another is service, cleanliness and fresh food. This location, while often busy, still maintains a clean restaurant, offers great service (the young man at the register knew every ingredient in each salad, without going to the computer) and dishes out hot tenders and fries. What more could you ask for? When in Anderson, and looking for a quick lunch, you can't go wrong here or at Bojangles down the street. read more

I went through the drive thru and ordered my food. First thing that happened was the women cut me off and wouldn't let me finish my order so she didn't get my drinks right. I ordered a diet dr. pepper. Got to the window and she gave me two regular dr. peppers which I never ordered. Second, when the man at the window was hanging me the wrong drinks he spilt the drink all over my arm. Asked for some napkins and he just looked at me and walked away. Never got my napkins but did get an apology so I guess he paid some attention. Looked at my order and it was also wrong. I ordered a 4 piece chicken strip meal with all fries. It came with 3 and fries and coleslaw. I did not expect them to mess up my drinks AND my food. And to top it off no napkins for the drink the man spilt on my arm. Update: Though my initial experience was very negative, the issue has been resolved to my satisfaction. I am amending my rating due to the professionalism of the ownership in addressing the issue. I have never had a bad experience at a Zaxby's in nearly 20 years until this one. We went on 2/2 to take advantage of the repeat groundhog day deal. We retained our receipt from the day and returned to redeem it per the event instructions. We were told we didn't have a "yellow receipt". We never received anything other than a regular white receipt that we always get at Zaxby's. Rather than admit they could've made a mistake or apologize for THEIR mistake, we were told we could not take advantage of the deal we had paid for for this purpose. The manager was rude and unhelpful in any way shape or form. If there were additional guidelines for taking advantage of the deal, they should have been communicated in the event or at the restaurant at the time of the order rather than made up after the fact. Your managers need to learn customer service as she felt it was a burden to even have to speak to a lowly customer. read more

This zaxbys was mid. I think three stars is a perfect rating. I ordered the wings and things, add extra toast and an extra zax sauce with a cup of water. I always go with the original sauce boneless wings, but was quickly notified that the original sauce was discontinued. Who discontinues their original sauce? Immediate red flag. I asked for an alternative, and he told me to go with Wimpy. Wimpy? Are you trying to say something to me bro? Also, who's the genius that got rid of original sauce and thought Wimpy would be a great name for a replacement sauce? Like just because I like mild wings doesn't mean I have to call myself a pussy by ordering wimpy sauce. Once I got my food, the fries had no seasoning, literally the only thing that makes their fries good. You may be wondering why I didn't give this place a one star? I'll tell you why. I grabbed a chicken tender, expecting some average first bite. I was greatly mistaken. When I tell you it was the juiciest bite of chicken ever, I mean that. Juice squirted directly into my eye, catching me off guard. It was like I was frozen in time, as I knew I would never take a bite of chicken as juicy as that ever again. Lunchtime March 17, 2017. I arrived at Zaxby's drive-through at approximately 12:35 PM. There was a long line wrapped around the building so much so that traffic was blocked in the parking lot. It took approximately 17 minutes to reach to the menu to place my order. The drive-thru line sat completely idle for at least 10 of those 17 minutes not moving an inch and then it was another 10 minutes before I received my food at the window. I visit this Zaxby's two, sometimes three times a week. This Zaxby's often has problems getting food out quickly at lunchtime. Food is always good however, if you don't have much time for lunch I recommend going somewhere else. read more
