I was immediately greeted by friendly Chop Shop associate Victoria. I ordered a sandwich to go for my wife. She wanted the Grinder sandwich. This came with ham, turkey, salami, provolone, mayo, house greens, tomato, onion, banana pepper, oregano, and red wine vinaigrette on multigrain-sliced bread. She also wanted the strawberry ginger lemonade. She said the sandwich was a really good size (meaning that she could only eat half) and shared it with our daughter. They both said it was delicious and both rated it 9 out of 10 for the same reason. They would have liked the sandwich on a hoagie roll instead of the bread. They said nothing was wrong with the bread, except that they both felt the sandwich would have been better on a hoagie roll if that had been an option. I was here for a Yelp event. I ordered one of the Made For You bowls, the Hot Honey Chicken bowl + Hummus. It came with brown rice, house greens tossed in red wine vinaigrette, cucumber, tomato, banana pepper, red pepper hummus, hot honey sauce, Greek yogurt sauce, and house-baked tortilla chips sprinkled with Parmesan. I had the chips on the side because I wanted my bowl gluten-free. The bowl was delicious. I would definitely get it again. I also had the strawberry ginger lemonade, which is freshly made as needed, since I saw Victoria juicing ginger for another batch of lemonade while I was eating. All of the other Make It Original options sounded delicious, too. I plan on returning to try more of their bowls. Overall, this was a great experience, and we definitely recommend the original Chop Shop.

These are clearly marked so there are no surprises. They are generous with whatever toppings are requested. Ask for more of what you like. They do not weigh the salads they combine for you. They sell by container. Fill it as you will. I've seen people take advantage to the point where the container will barely close but the server just smiles. It must even out. Now I certainly got everything I wanted.. and it was loaded to the brim (next time I'm asking for more corn) but the price just about threw me for a loop. By the time it delivered the cost was way high! I guess maybe it is better to eat in. I mean it's a salad... the main component is still lettuce... but honestly if I had one complaint it was that there was not enough lettuce. I guess I loaded it up with so much stuff there was less room for lettuce? In the end it was a great tasting salad... fresh, loaded, and fantastic.. just a bit on the pricy side especially once delivered. But next I'm time I'll just go and eat there!

I didn't really know what they served until I got in, but sandwiches were not what I expected. Regardless, the restaurant is spacious with both indoor and outdoor seating. Menus are at the front where you also order before choosing a place to sit. The staff could be a little more helpful and friendly (I asked what "NET" sauce was, and they seemed annoyed with the question), but the decor is fun, and I love the natural lighting. The food was alright. The grilled chicken was dry, and so was the focaccia bread. Probably should've chosen a different bread, but it looked and sounded good. The burger was decent, but you don't need to come here for one. Honestly, the best thing was the pesto pasta salad side. It was good, and I wished there was more.

We were told that they wouldn't seat us until 7pm and that it may be 5 or 10 minutes after that. A little irritating, but not a deal breaker. 7pm comes, 7:05. 7:10. We ask how much longer. We are told they are waiting on tables. Um, ok? 7:15, 7:20, 7:25....finally a table. Why even make a reservation if we aren't seated until 25 minutes after? They take us to our table, a party of 2 mind you, and sit us at a cafeteria style table for 6. There were PLENTY of 2 tops around. People who came in after us were seated at them with no problem. Again, weird, not a deal breaker but getting more irritating. Our waitress came over quickly and was amazing the entire night. Attentive and prompt. She took our drink and app orders. This is not an inexpensive restaurant. It is marketed as upscale. Why did she bring us drinks in plastic cups and say they were out of glasses? Excuse me? I am paying over $200 for my meal to drink out of plastic cups? We get our appetizer and it is delicious. Cajun Crab dip. There is a lot of dip and only a small bread loaf, so we ordered an additional loaf after we ate that one. Our waitress put the order in promptly, but the kitchen never sent it out and she had to go find it. By that time, our app was cold. We still ate it, just another disappointment. Our entrees came out promptly, both of us having ordered the Delmonico ribeye, medium. I added a lobster tail. We both had mac and cheese. I had greens, my husband Brussel sprouts. Neither of our steaks were cooked medium. Both were medium well and tough. $52 steaks, fyi. We had already been there an hour and with all of the other incidents, I was just ready to go. Sides were good, lobster tail was cooked perfectly. To sum it up, long wait even with a reservation, weird seating, plastic cups, forgetful kitchen and over cooked steak. Not quite the upscale dining we are used to with a $225 bill. Great server, great apps, good sides. Overall a disappointing anniversary dinner and would not go back.
