Tuna poke bowl
Yvette M.

Met a friend for dinner- she is vegan and I was not eating meat on Friday- so plenty of items to choose from on the menu. I got the tuna poke bowl which was good but small portion for what it cost. Also I ordered a green tea and took a while to get it and then the wrong drink came. They were quick to bring the correct drink. It was busy on a Friday night so glad we got a reservation. So if you have various dietary requirements, give them a try. There are several locations.

Jambalaya Pasta

My wife and I ate here for the 1st time yesterday. She had the OG Juice with the Lasagna and I had the jambalaya pasta. Both were just OK, not bad but nothing special. The best thing was her OG juice which is ginger, lime and honey. The staff was fine and inside was clean. We were hoping for more but will return and try other items in hopes of a better culinary result.

Spinach & Mushroom Pizza

We had two gift cards to use at Avalon today and we really enjoy True Food Kitchen. We FINALLY found a parking spot and made our way inside. It was early in the lunch hour and we were seated right away. Reece was our server who brought us water just after we sat down. We had pizza on our mind and found a new entry for Spinach and Mushroom which we ordered. It was amazing and did not last long ! We will be back for that selection again when nearby. Reece was awesome. Lunch & Beverages & Tip was $32.

True Food is a place that just feels special and unique when you walk in. I love the ambiance and warmth of the space. It was very busy when we went during the holiday break but we were seated quickly. Service was not bad and considering how busy they were, our server was really all over the place and moving the entire time. Our meal came out quickly and everyone was satisfied with that they ordered. The portions are on the smaller side. I do think it's a little pricier than the average place but it felt like a treat eating there and my mom loved it, which was all that mattered.

After seeing Megan 2.0 on a double date (which is really good by the way lol!!) we invited our friends to come to True Food which is their first time! It was a really great time with Jael taking good care of us. I mean REALLY good care w of us! She felt like an extension of family and gave great suggestions for food which our friends appreciated very much. I had the Teriyaki Quinoa Bowl with tofu and a kale aid. While I didn't have the old fashion (our friend did), he said no one else had gotten it right like this except for here. It was also super cool to film lol!! My partner and I are a regular, so we're married to the place

Margarita Pizza

Came in for lunch on a weekday and were sat immediately. Decided to try the sourdough margarita pizza. It was really good, the crust was nice and chewy and sauce was a bit on the sweet side. Service was pretty quick with a friendly staff. The restaurant was very clean, same with the restrooms. Great place to come for a quick lunch

The food was decent and the service was decent in the beginning but took a turn towards the end. However, there was an issue with my son's flavored lemonade. I had specifically ordered it without ice, but the waitress brought it with ice. It sat on the table for a while, and some of the ice had melted, making it look very watery. When I asked for a fresh lemonade, the waitress gave me a hard time and said I would have to pay for it. It wouldn't have been a problem to pay--my concern was that it was her mistake to begin with. She even suggested just draining the remaining ice, but the drink was already diluted. When I asked to speak with a manager, she declined and said the manager gives them a hard time about these things. While I was in the restroom, my husband said the waitress came by and added more flavoring to the same watery lemonade. When I returned, she smiled and told me it was a fresh one. I was surprised--why lie about something so minor? I also noticed on the receipt that we were charged $4.50 per refill for tea. My husband and I had two teas and one refill each, and we were charged four times--$4.50 each time. At most restaurants, refills for tea and lemonade are complimentary. Tea, especially, is usually refilled at no cost--it's just water and a tea bag. It was clear the waitress felt uncomfortable bringing another lemonade, and she even said management is strict about "those types of things" because it affects their bottom line. I guess True Food Kitchen runs a very tight ship financially.

I was truly expecting a better experience, but here we are! My co worker recommended this place to me because of the vegetarian options on the menu so I was excited to try them out. I ended up ordering the plant base double cheeseburger and I was not happy, not because of the patty. It was really tasty, but they did not have anything that should have come on this burger, no cheese no tomatoes, and very little pickled onion and did not let me know until the burger actually came out. The side orders were slim so I ended up ordering a salad, which was only spinach and cucumbers, how disappointing was that? My friend said that I should have tried the Buckhead location , so maybe I will give that one a try the next time but I would not suggest this place . The ambience was very simple, but pretty and the service was ok.

Peanut butter tart

I know that I shouldn't like this place because it is a chain but I can't help myself. I find their dishes to be flavorful without being excessively laden with fat or salt. It somehow manages to feel like a treat and like you're being virtuous all at once. We ordered the sliders and air-fried chicken tenders to start and the beef tenderloin entree with a side of kale salad and sweet potato hash. The mashed potatoes that came with the tenderloin were heavenly and the sauce was divine. I almost died when I tried the chocolate peanut butter tart.

Meatloaf

I love True Food Kitchen and can confidently say this is my favorite nationwide chain. They have healthy, yet comforting foods that let you indulge without feeling (too) guilty. The atmosphere is always bright and a fantastic place for lunch with a girlfriend, date night, or even work meals. This was my first time trying the Alpharetta location and we came with a reservation and ordered an app, two entrees, and shared a dessert- we could have gotten away with sharing one entree. - charred cauliflower (5/5): this was fantastic. Creamy tahini sauce with pistachios and dates- so good. The smaller pieces were perfectly charred while the larger pieces were soft and soggy. I wish all the pieces were cut consistently and were charred and crispy. - southwest bison pizza (4/5): this was very good. We always ask for a side of marinara sauce to dip. These flavors were cool but 1400 calories for a small pizza? The margheria at 850 was much more worth it. - mom's meatloaf (2/5): edible but just not good. Dry meatloaf with gravy and undercooked vegetables. I wish it was more tender with a ketchup-based sauce. - carrot cake (5/5): very good. I asked for the cake to be warmed and the icing to be placed on top after. The icing did not have the satisfying cream cheese taste and texture, but the cake was very moist.

Love this place!! I always go for one of the bowls (the teriyaki and the Korean bowls are probably my favorites), but everything on the menu is healthy and delicious. This time I went for the Hawaiian fried rice and it did not disappoint! I also love the interior design; the lighting is soft and the decor is almost going for modern-farmhouse style. Definitely compliments the farm-to-table and freshly/locally sourced ingredients and goods. I don't drink that often, but this most recent time I visited with friends I did order a cocktail and it was AMAZING! I got the Pom Collins, and I honestly want to go back for another this weekend. I also tried their unique take on a Moscow Mule (vodka, no ginger beer), and it was fantastic! Very refreshing and I almost liked it better than a regular one I've had elsewhere. I know it won't be long until I make my way back here for another wonderful meal!

The servers behind the bar tend to be energetic, friendly students from the nearby high school. The owner is also friendly. Everything is fresh. They have vegetables, fruits, nuts, proteins, and anything else that might go on a salad. Some categories of ingredients are extra, such as proteins. These are clearly marked so there are no surprises. They are generous with whatever toppings are requested. Ask for more of what you like. They do not weigh the salads they combine for you. They sell by container. Fill it as you will. I've seen people take advantage to the point where the container will barely close but the server just smiles. It must even out. The restaurant is spacious and well lit. Plenty of natural light during the day. The minimalistic design just feels right. Value is great. You really can't go wrong.

By the time it delivered the cost was way high! I guess maybe it is better to eat in. I mean it's a salad... the main component is still lettuce... but honestly if I had one complaint it was that there was not enough lettuce. I guess I loaded it up with so much stuff there was less room for lettuce? In the end it was a great tasting salad... fresh, loaded, and fantastic.. just a bit on the pricy side especially once delivered. But next I'm time I'll just go and eat there!

If this is all you will enjoy here - this is a 5-star establishment. Location in Avalon is another strong point of this establishment. Super convenient, although small. Food - is just not good. If you are drunk - then it is all right, otherwise it just doesn't cut it. I had hot dog - and I must say $1.50 Costco hot dog is way better. Wings - below average. Chicken tenders - the same. Fries are probably the best thing here. Service - just terrible. Outside of bartenders who are pretty happy and funny, the rest of service is hit or miss. First time I visited was awful. Second time around I had to walk up to server to place an order and ended up getting wrong beer multiple times on refills (how is getting the same refill a problem?). So 3-stars for this review is me being generous on account of great beer. I will however never order food here again.

I've enjoyed the sliced grilled chicken with taziki (tzatziki) sauce, the Greek salad, baked pita chips with hummus, and the roasted potatoes. I like that the food seems relatively healthy. The chicken strips are tender and flavorful (I like the olive oil and seasoning) and the hummus and taziki [sic] dip are tasty too. I also like the pepperoncini and Kalamata olives in the salad and how good the pita chips taste on their own (they're addictive). The menu description for the hummus is "[a] puree of chickpeas, tahini, touch of cumin, and lemon juice" and for the taziki dip is "Greek yogurt, cucumber, dill, and a hint of lemon." Based on what I tasted, I think these descriptions are accurate. Taziki's is a chain with over 110 locations nationwide. The most locations are in Alabama (the business was founded in Birmingham in 1998) and Tennessee. As of April 25, 2026, there are seven locations in Georgia: six in metro Atlanta and one in Athens.

His customer service alone set the tone for this entire experience. I initially reached out regarding a promotion I received via email, and although we discovered that the promotion wasn't currently being honored at the Atlanta or Milton/Alpharetta locations, Joe didn't dismiss me or brush it off. Instead, he took the time to thoroughly explain the situation and went above and beyond to make sure I felt heard, understood, and accommodated. That level of care is rare. I decided to visit the Windward location, and from the moment I walked in, the experience continued to exceed expectations. The staff was genuinely friendly, my to-go order was ready on time, and everything was seamless. Now let's talk about the food this was our first time ordering one of the family feasts, and it completely blew us away. We typically order individual meals, but this family feast was on a whole different level. The portions were generous (truly family-sized, not just labeled that way), everything was fresh, warm, and absolutely delicious. The salad was crisp, the food was flavorful, and you could tell it was prepared with care. For context, we're a family of three, and we were able to eat off this meal twice which says a lot about both quality and value. Kudos to Joe, kudos to Taziki's, and kudos to the entire team at the Windward location in Milton. If you're looking for a place that delivers exceptional customer service and real value for your money, this is it. Joe you deserve a raise.
