Popped in here for lunch after shopping. Service was very friendly, but a little slow. Food was very tasty! Perfect fresh light meal and the overall vibes of the restaurant match.

I will be concept behind true food and have been there a few times at different locations. While I generally have a decent experience at this particular one in the Avalon, I don't think I've ever had any occasion where it was consistently above. On this late Thursday evening, it was not very crowded and I got seated promptly. The server was friendly and brought my water over pretty quickly. I had to flag her down in order to order my salad and specifically instructed her how I wanted my add on salmon to be prepared. She agreed and seemed to understand, but the food was delivered with the salmon way overcooked. While they did attempt to rectify the situation with a replacement, the replacement was just slightly better and still overcooked, but I did not want to complain again. And she seemed preoccupied since I had to flag her down again just to get a refill of water. It seemed to take forever to even get my final check which I had hoped to have sooner so I could beat the impending storm. Unfortunately, she took so long that I ended up having to navigate a downpour afterwards. The salad was very unexciting, although the ingredients seem to be very appealing. Unfortunately, the chicken was really dry as if it had been sitting around for quite a while. With the restaurant being so empty, and several staff just hanging around, I'm very surprised at the lack of hospitality and food quality. Definitely so many choices that would be better considerations in this area.

My husband and I dined at True Food Kitchen while shopping in the area. We opted to sit outside, but they also offer indoor seating. Jasmine was our server and she was great! She was super informative, helpful, and kind. We were pretty hungry, so we ordered right away. We ordered two Sparkling Prickly Pear Tisanes, the organic Tuscan kale salad with blackened shrimp and the teriyaki quinoa bowl with blackened shrimp. Everything arrived promptly, and it was fresh and delicious. From the service to the food, we enjoyed our dining experience. We look forward to dining here again!

I love this place! Yes it is a chain but I feel staff here goes above and beyond to please customers! Perhaps my luck is such since Sebastian has been serving me every time and it has been just great every time!!! I am partial to Ancient grain bowls, Tuna Pome Bowl, Guacamole and Hummus. However - everything I had here was great!!! On top of it all - located in Avalon - location is good and spacious!!!!

I love that True Food focuses on quality ingredients and has a lot of gluten free options. I believe they also don't use seed oil, which is a huge plus! They also have a patio which is fun for a nice day. Unfortunately, when we visited today, the service was extremely slow and our server did not check on us at all so we had to flag him down to let him know that our steak arrived cold and raw in the middle. It took such a long time to get the steak to the table, we didn't have time to wait on them to try and put it back on the grill or make a new one so we just asked them to take it off the bill (which they did) and then we left. It was strange because the outside seemed medium but the inside was raw! My sister had also ordered a dessert, the carrot cake, and after waiting 20 minutes for it she gave up also and decided to just check out and leave.

Met a friend for dinner- she is vegan and I was not eating meat on Friday- so plenty of items to choose from on the menu. I got the tuna poke bowl which was good but small portion for what it cost. Also I ordered a green tea and took a while to get it and then the wrong drink came. They were quick to bring the correct drink. It was busy on a Friday night so glad we got a reservation. So if you have various dietary requirements, give them a try. There are several locations.

Eve. Some of reviews are not so kind, we decided to give a try after looking through their menus. We had great food and service. Not so Kale fan husband really enjoyed their kale salad. My bowl was excellent! We will be back for sure.

My wife and I ate here for the 1st time yesterday. She had the OG Juice with the Lasagna and I had the jambalaya pasta. Both were just OK, not bad but nothing special. The best thing was her OG juice which is ginger, lime and honey. The staff was fine and inside was clean. We were hoping for more but will return and try other items in hopes of a better culinary result.

We had two gift cards to use at Avalon today and we really enjoy True Food Kitchen. We FINALLY found a parking spot and made our way inside. It was early in the lunch hour and we were seated right away. Reece was our server who brought us water just after we sat down. We had pizza on our mind and found a new entry for Spinach and Mushroom which we ordered. It was amazing and did not last long ! We will be back for that selection again when nearby. Reece was awesome. Lunch & Beverages & Tip was $32.

I've previously really liked True Food Kitchen but either it's gone downhill or we all ordered poorly, except my 6 year old who had cheese pizza. Hers was definitely the best. I had the seasonal sourdough butternut squash pizza & my husband had the spinach mushroom pizza. Neither had any cheese aside from dollops of ricotta on top, so all of the toppings fell right off. Neither had any flavor. At the very least they needed some salt. Mine could've done with some kind of herbs or a balsamic drizzle or something. They both just sounded much better than they were. My other daughter had the kids burger, which was decent, but the fries weren't even edible. They tasted like they'd been sitting out for several hours. For a kid to not even eat fries is bad. I like that they have healthier options but it was all just bad today.

True Food is a place that just feels special and unique when you walk in. I love the ambiance and warmth of the space. It was very busy when we went during the holiday break but we were seated quickly. Service was not bad and considering how busy they were, our server was really all over the place and moving the entire time. Our meal came out quickly and everyone was satisfied with that they ordered. The portions are on the smaller side. I do think it's a little pricier than the average place but it felt like a treat eating there and my mom loved it, which was all that mattered.

After seeing Megan 2.0 on a double date (which is really good by the way lol!!) we invited our friends to come to True Food which is their first time! It was a really great time with Jael taking good care of us. I mean REALLY good care w of us! She felt like an extension of family and gave great suggestions for food which our friends appreciated very much. I had the Teriyaki Quinoa Bowl with tofu and a kale aid. While I didn't have the old fashion (our friend did), he said no one else had gotten it right like this except for here. It was also super cool to film lol!! My partner and I are a regular, so we're married to the place

    Margarita Pizza

Came in for lunch on a weekday and were sat immediately. Decided to try the sourdough margarita pizza. It was really good, the crust was nice and chewy and sauce was a bit on the sweet side. Service was pretty quick with a friendly staff. The restaurant was very clean, same with the restrooms. Great place to come for a quick lunch

They have many vegetarian options and the service beats everything. If you are in Alpharetta and haven't visited this place, you are really missing out. I placed an online order, and it was ready in 15 minutes, which was impressive given how much I ordered. The food was nicely packaged, beautifully presented, and tasted great. I ordered enough for three days: * Fried Oyster Mushrooms ($12.95): Lightly breaded, perfectly fried, and a large portion. Next time, I'll ask for the yum yum and soy-based sauces on the side. My drive was over an hour, so some mushrooms got slightly soggy. They were still edible, but having the sauce separate is better for travel. * Butter Beer ($6): A delicious treat! I got the medium, but I'll definitely size up next time. * Chinese Broccoli ($12.95): Another large serving. It comes with steamed rice, but I upgraded to fried rice for an extra $2. I also added chili oil on the side for $0.50. * Spider Roll ($10.95): Pretty good, a decent size, and sliced thin. * BBQ Pork Fried Rice ($14.50): One of my favorite entrees they serve. Very large portion and delicious. My total was $68.44 for three days of food, including tax, service fee, and tip. The order was ready right at the estimated pickup time. The service was great, and I was greeted warmly when I walked in. Everything traveled well for over an hour and reheated beautifully over the next couple of days. It's great to see they're still producing delicious vegetarian food. For those who know, they know, but if you haven't been, go check out Vegreen!

The sauce was on the sweeter side, but still tasty. - Teppan Tofu Bibimpak: Came out sizzling! The tofu was crispy on the outside, almost custard-like on the inside. The sauce was savory goodness. - Black Pepper Steak Udon: Steak was nicely chewy, udon well-cooked, strong pepper essence. - Truffle Fried Rice: Crazy enough, this might be the best fried rice I've ever eaten. Such a unique combination of ingredients including black truffle, avocado, pine nuts, chestnut, mushroom, and green beans. Cool presentation too. - BBQ Pork Fried Rice: Right amount of sweetness with good wok hei. - Tempura Shrimp Roll: Tasted classic, liked that it had fried enoki mushroom in addition to mock shrimp. As a longtime San Francisco Bay Area foodie, I've been spoiled by incredible international food and…read morebold, complex flavors, so I'm always excited when I find a restaurant that delivers that same sense of discovery. Delbar absolutely does. The food here stands on its own--layered, interesting and incredibly delicious. I had been looking forward to dinner at Delbar Old Milton for two reasons: a long-overdue dinner with an old colleague and a serious craving for Middle Eastern food. After battling Atlanta-area traffic from Marietta--it took nearly an hour for what should have been about a 30-minute drive--I was ready to settle in, catch up and EAT. I'd previously been to Delbar in Inman Park with a group and loved it, so expectations were high. Old Milton did not disappoint. The restaurant itself is gorgeous. Warm, sophisticated and beautifully designed, with a Persian rug welcoming you along the entrance and complimentary valet parking--a huge plus. The young valet team was impressively polished and efficient. I started with a Paper Plane, apparently my new financially irresponsible cocktail habit. Delicious, but these things are expensive! I blame the Italian liqueur. Two cocktails pushed north of $40, so perhaps I need a more economical signature drink. Then came the food. We started with the beet carpaccio: red beets, whipped feta, burnt honey, sour orange, pistachio and almond dukkha. Beautifully balanced--earthy, creamy, sweet, tart and nutty all at once. I let my dinner companion take over ordering from there, which proved to be an excellent decision. The Bandari Olovieh was the surprise of the evening: saffron-marinated smoked salmon with cream cheese, dill, chives, jalapeño purée, potatoes, Aleppo pepper, urfa, hot sauce, fried capers and cornichons, served with saffron potato chips. I'm not usually a salmon person, yet I loved this. The salmon was mild and delicate without the stronger flavor I sometimes associate with salmon or trout. And those saffron potato chips? Dangerous. I could happily eat a bowl of them. We also had the koobideh kabob, made with ground beef brisket and lamb shoulder with onion and saffron, served over taftoun with grilled pepper, tomato and sumac onions. Tender, juicy and packed with flavor. Wrapped in that bread, it was almost like the world's most delicious little Middle Eastern slider. By then, we were DONE. I had every intention of trying dessert, but there was simply no room. It was also getting late, and work was waiting for both of us the next morning. Next visit. Service throughout dinner was friendly and knowledgeable. This is a menu where good servers matter. Ours could explain the dishes and ingredients rather than simply take an order, and that added to the experience. Two small notes on the space. If Atlanta is doing its summertime furnace impression, I'd avoid tables near the doors leading to the patio. Every time they opened, a blast of hot air rolled through. Sit farther inside and enjoy the AC. And while I loved the Persian rug and overall design, the faux flowers and wisteria covering the entrance pergola weren't my favorite. Atlanta sun is brutal on anything artificial, and the rest of the restaurant is sophisticated enough that the entrance deserves something equally polished. Those are minor quibbles. The important part is this: Delbar is serving seriously delicious food in a beautiful setting with thoughtful service. If you're anywhere around Alpharetta or Roswell, make the detour. This place is not to be missed. Life is too short not to eat well. Get out there and find your next meal! Sorry, no photos;(
