Dinner and dessert!
Lillian G.

Where have all the good shwarma and gyro street food places gone??? Well, this one is still here! Yaaaayyyy!! They have burgers of course but the additional delights on the menu include chicken strips, onion rings, falafel, greek and gyros salads or plates. This is a very family friendly place too if you're into taking the kids to clean fast food joints with simple yet effective diner tables and chairs. Heck, why not? Less cleanup right? We had 2 gyros, and fries.. simple.. and they did not disappoint! The sandwich ingredients were fresh and well constructed. I had sauce in every bite, and a fresh splash of tomato to match it... pure poetry of past greek town fast food escapades. Our fries were hot, crispy, and enough to share. Thank you for restoring my faith in a well made gyro! We will be back for a chicken or beef shwarma next time!

Chicken Kabob entree

We absolutely love this place! The food is excellent! Tonight we ordered the chicken kabob plate which comes with rice, hummus, pita bread and a salad and tons of FRESH COOKED chicken. The chicken was perfectly cooked and not at all. Also tried the falafel again and it was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Perfect! The price of the entree is 20 USD and such a great value because the portions are huge (yummy leftovers for later!!) Highly recommend!!!

Garden salad & two tiny pieces of Baklava

This is an UberEats order. The only reason we ate it is due to starving & taking a late lunch @ 330pm. I try hard NOT to give bad reviews. Only if the business is deserving. This was too costly $38.93 My boyfriend ordered: Vegetarian Platter (No grape leaves, no babaghanouj) Falafel Wrap (Garden salad w/ some falafel thrown inside) Baklava (tiny squares that equal 2 bites) The food was extremely bland without any sauces or spices. The rice tasted like nothing yellow rice. Maybe we got the leftover lunch special before dinner starts. We should've known better than to choose a place that does Mediterranean AND burgers, that's not a fusion that ppl ask for. The fries were cold & hard. Garden salad was a decent size. We shared. Falafel balls were decent size of nothingness.

Tasteless food and big price tag. Shocked by all the high ratings on other review sites. Would not come back.

Pricey..., but also fantastic…read more I loved the food, some of which was familiar, and some of which was completely new to me. A nice place for a special occasion, but not for everyday meals. We had 4 adults and one 3 year old. We got out for something in the neighborhood of of $240. Ordering is ala carte: we had 3 meats, 3 sides, drinks. We had a very small bit left over. Decor was excellent. A beautiful entryway, muted lighting, muted noise. Service was attentive, friendly, and very helpful. While I'd love to return regularly, price makes that impossible, but it was definitely worth this visit. It will be up for consideration next time we have something big to celebrate.

Out of the Persian restaurants in the area it may come in as our least favourite (Rumi's, Noosh), though the food by all means is not bad at all. Standard Persian restaurant Sabzi khordan plate to start with nice, warm bread. Fried eggplant dip quite solid. Wing appetiser definitely the highlight of the meal - came out piping hot and excellent flavour. Rest of the meal was fine, ordered the sea bass and lamb/beef kabob. Rice very heavy and you get a whole lot with each order. Main course meals were average which was a little less than expected based on the restaurants. The restaurant itself is extremely overwhelming - loud and chaotic. The place is quite cramped and they are squeezing a lot of tables in a small space which put us in a corner right by a staff are, and then staff were getting stuck at the table as there are staff running around everywhere during service. The constant movement was a little distracting during the meal for sure. The staff and service was otherwise excellent, the servers know the menu very well, give what seem to be honest suggestions, and are extremely personable. The service was hit or miss probably because so many things were going on that we could see it being hard to keep up (e.g. staff coming back with more wet towels or cutlery which never ended up coming). After hours you can park in the lot next door which is a short walk around, or complimentary valet parking in the front lot. A little chaotic as well but the lot is tiny so to be expected.

Large and lovely Persian restaurant in ATL. Really nice courtyard where there are other restaurants…read moreand stores. There's a water fountain as well. Super cute vibe. Yalda has indoor and outdoor seating but the outdoor seating is covered so it can get quite hot and humid. We preferred to sit inside. It's a really pretty restaurant from the inside and an open kitchen concept. I really enjoyed the chicken Shish kabob, lamb Koobideh, lamb shawarma wrap, and chicken bites. Our favorites were the fries that came with the wrap and the chicken bites! Lots of flavor and tender. Delicious. The food was very fresh and service was nice as well. Everything came timely and correctly. Enjoyed our visit!

Yalda is a cute Persian spot in Sandy springs in a really nice little shopping area…read more We came on a weeknight and it was BUSY, but we were seated instantly. We started our dinner with the Zatar labneh which was SO GOOD! And it came with plenty of soft pita which is so different than most Persian spots where you have to keep asking for more bread. We then shared the koobideh kabob, Chilean sea bass, and Cornish hen. The sea bass was absolutely incredible and is a must get! I thought the hen was good too but koobideh kabobs just aren't my thing usually. I usually like saffron rice at other Persian spots better but I really enjoyed the shirin polo. Overall Yalda is a great spot! It doesn't stand out too much compared to the other Persian restaurants because I think they're all good, but if you're in the area I would recommend!

My friends and I visited for lunch, and surprisingly, it wasn't busy at all during the weekend!…read moreThere was a lot of parking regardless. The restaurant has high ceilings and a lot of space for different occasions, so for us, it was rather quiet as we were one of the three tables being waited on. The server was helpful and would explain the menu as well as make suggestions for what would be good to start with. I mainly wanted to come here to try their duck appetizer. I've only ever had duck in Chinese cuisine, and I found it really interesting that it was paired with pomegranate. Having had it now, it was nice! The meat itself was tender, and the reduction was a little sweet. The pomegranate seeds provided a nice bright contrast to the natural musky flavor of duck as it was slightly sour. The herbs masked the taste, but in the reduction, it was mellowed out a bit. I'm glad to have had it without having to commit to a full meal, but I'd definitely get it again here or elsewhere. However, out of all the apps, the star for our group was the local goat cheese. The sweet creaminess of it was so good, and most of us hadn't had quince before. We got it because of our Persian friend's recommendation as she has visited this restaurant for it before. Honestly, I wouldn't have ordered it myself on first glance, but it really was a good starter. The mirza ghasemi was also pretty good. I liked how the caramelized onions tasted with the smoky eggplant. The quail egg did not really change much, though the presentation with it was cute! For the entree, I do not usually see a beyond meat version of koobideh, and having had it... It's pretty comparable to ordering actual meat. Most of the times, my friends and I order spreads to share since half of the group is vegetarian, but this was good and much more filling.
