It was worth the drive. We were at North Point mall and searched yelp for a lunch spot that was a deli. This place was on the list, the reviews looked good, so off we went. Spoiler alert, the sandwich and salad were terrific. As we walked in, we saw a sign best cuban sandwich around, well challenge accepted as I grew up near little havana in Miami. I ordered a 6" cuban sandwich, they have three sizes of sandwiches. She ordered the Italian chopped salad. Her salad was very good and way more than she could eat for lunch. The lettuce was cold and crispy, and the other ingredients tasted and presented as very fresh. I told the owner / sandwich maker where I grew up and told him I was looking forward to trying his sandwich. The pork, was awesome as was the ham and cheese with a good amount of mustard and they also served it with a home made cilantro and lime ranch dressing on the side, I tried it and liked it very much. The bread was not quite what you would get in Miami but, it was also very fresh and made the sandwich a winner. Many people cycled in and out while we were there. This is not a fast food sandwich shop. It appeared each order was made to order and the results made for a great lunch. My sandwich came out very hot. People next to us even commented on how large the salad was. This place is a must try. They have parking in front and back of the strip center it is located. The people behind the counter were very friendly and seemed eager to please and looked and asked for feedback. If we were still living here, this would be included in our regular rotation of places to eat lunch. The theme is sports, with many teams represented in the eclectic aall art decor. Something for everyone on the walls. A few tvs with sports playing. This place was not only a good meal but a good time. It's a small, nondescript deli in a tiny strip mall between a Dunkin Donuts and a Jets Pizza.Wasn't expecting much, but got a lot more than that. Had what was the best Rueben I've ever had. Tender, juicy pastrami piled high on marble rye with a sauerkraut that didn't overpower the sandwich like so many other places do. Got it on my list and I'll be coming here often. This place is fantastic! For my first visit, I ordered the chicken philly & french fries. Honestly, this was the best philly sub I've had in ATL. The bread was the perfect combination of crunch and softness. The philly had a ton of cheese and just the right amount of onions, peppers, and mushrooms. SO GOOD! My better half and I were over in Roswell area and tried this place for lunch. WOW am I glad we gave them a try because the service and food were both awesome. This deli is located in a narrow storefront in a small strip shopping center that offers plenty of parking. While walking into the deli, we saw a mail carrier who was in his truck and we asked if he had ever eaten at the Appletree Deli; he replied that it was awesome and said he was returning after finishing his delivery route to get a Reuben which he said was delicious. Upon entry into Appletree Deli, you see lots of Sports Memorabilia decorating the walls. Your order is placed at a counter in the middle of the deli, you pay for your food and they bring the food to your table. Fountain drinks are self-service at a dispenser towards the front of the Deli. We decided to try the Philly Cheesesteak (sign out front claims it is the "Best Philly Around") and the Reuben. The Philly Cheesesteak along with all their hot subs come in 3 sizes (5", 9", or 13") so we ordered the 9" to share. We split the two sandwiches and shared a basket of fries. We subbed Spicy Mustard for Thousand Island dressing on the Reuben. Our Pastrami Reuben sandwich was piled high with meat, sauerkraut and melted Swiss cheese on marble rye. We recently dined at a multi-location Jewish deli in Atlanta and this Pastrami Reuben at Appletree Deli was better. The Philly Cheesesteak was loaded with steak, grilled peppers and onions, and melted cheese on a fresh sub roll. Both sandwiches were very filling and tasted great. My better half could not finish her Reuben so she brought 1/4 of it home. It was awesome heated up the next day. The French fries were hot and crispy on the outside and were liberally sprinkled with salt and other seasonings. I was having an issue with the water dispenser on their fountain drink station. The owner overheard me talking to my wife and he came over to help. He told me to grab a bottled water out of their drink cooler. Again awesome customer service! This is a must try deli in Roswell. I know we will be returning for more of their delicious subs and grilled sandwiches. read more

I originally found this deli due to its amazing Yelp ratings and they didn't disappoint! We've come here a couple times and really enjoyed it. Customer service is always top notch! Everyone is super friendly and offers great recommendations. All sandwiches can be customized to your liking. I've ordered the Chicken Pesto Panini and the Turkey Rueben as a panini. Both sandwiches were delicious!! I particularly enjoy the panini bread because it's served so soft and warm. Some places you order a sandwich and you fight with the hard bread but not here! A hidden gem--in plain sight. Across the street from wellstar N. Fulton Hospital. We loved everything about this place. Went in for a quick lunch the day after Helene. Many places were closed, but they were open and had a steady stream of customers. The food was great-fresh and delicious. Pastrami Reuben was perfect, the chopped salad is a must try, and the fries covered in queso was an excellent comfort food choice for a health-care worker stressed with post-hurricane management issues.
