This Zara has the most unprofessional Workers ever. Long story short I came in and loaded myvarms with about 300 euro worth of clothes. They were heavy. I asked an associate if I could leave them at the register until I came back with the rest of my shopping. She takes me up front, speaks with a manager. He starts chastising her (in French) right infront of me, a customer.
She takes my clothes behind the counter and tells the cashier to hold the clothes. I come back 10 minutes later, and the cashier looks at me confused. She then looks at me snarky and asks if I speak French! No, I don't. You speak English so what is the point? My clothes are not behind her. She track them down to a girl who had taken them in a large bin with wheels. For some reason the girl took all the hangers off, and my clothes look like laundry in a basket. She gives me the basket to bend over and get my own clothes!
I take them out and am now inconvenienced because how can I add up the cost when the clothes tags are asked.
Finally I get to the register. I get the same girl. The WHOLE transaction She spent running her mouth to her friend. This us why my clothes were taken from behind her in the first place! She is not paying attention.
Then she starts dragging my clothes from the bottom of the pile to ring up! Are you kidding? Who does that? Take each item from the top of the pile!!! So I end up hanging her each garnent before she ruins my clothes.
In the meantime I notice rolling rack behind the counter with clothes.
Why not have placed my clothes originally on that rack?
At the end She gave me my total and closed me out. No thank you or nothing!
I go to find a manager. He doesn't speak English I'm told so I am brought to a lady who does. I am telling her what happened when a nosy associate interruption and says to bring me to a manager. The lady says the manager does speak English. He waves her off.
They bring me to the same guy who was chastising the first lady. He has no clue what I am saying.
What an awful way to end a trip in París. Zara was suppose to be the highlight of my visit, and these unprofessional associate and manager ruined it.
Not for nothing, but I understand we are in France. However every shop on the Champs Elysses has English speaking Workers. It is probably a requirement.
What happened here? Horrible. read more
