I was referred here from the Le Meridien when Delta saw fit to lose my bags for two days, and while the selection is sparse (my broad-shouldered frame doesn't seem to be heavily stocked in France), they did take good care of me.
Now - picture yourself on a business trip landing with nothing but the clothes on your back and a 24-hour change in your carry-on (because you don't trust the airlines). You have places to get to, people to see, but suddenly no clothing in which to do it. The store associate I worked with seemed a little unprepared, but after a little coaxing he got me set up with underwear and a fantastic sportcoat, while getting someone to make me an espresso (which is just what a raging business traveler needs while jetlagged, right?). The clothing was of exceptional quality, and priced fairly for having been bought in Paris, so I have to say I was pretty happy.
That happiness lasted all the way until I got to the airport. Unfortunately, I completely overlooked getting the VAT refund form from the store, so I was unable to take advantage of the "tax-free shopping" so brightly advertised at check-out. Utterly unacceptable, and while I've learned my lesson, I hope that you take a moment and get your receipt stamped so you don't learn the same one. read more
