Wanted to do some back to school shopping for my daughter. I saw two coats I wanted for her, but wanted to make sure I found the correct size. The store was very crowded, which made it a little difficult to maneuver. I asked an employee for assistance and I felt like I was bothering her, so I decided to search for myself. The majority of the clothing seemed to be for toddlers and not big girls. The check out line was ridiculous. I believe they had two or three cashiers, but the line moved incredibly slow. Overall, I wasn't thrilled with the experience here and probably will just shop online for her instead of in-store.

I wasn't impressed with the store at all, yes it has a good amount of square feet, but I couldn't find anything that I liked. There's no escalator to the second floor, you have to walk up steps. And then in the men's area they didn't even have the sweaters that other Zara stores have! What a waste of time.

This is their flagship store -but they don't have a lot of different sizes. The sizes run small as well. The items are trendy which is what we wanted but did not love a lot of what we saw. You really have to go through everything and they are out of a lot. We did ask someone to help us find jeans and they were pleasant. We were able to try on items in the dressing room and we did hang everything up neatly for the employees - I have to tell you they work very hard. But the store feels like a mess. Managed to find a top to buy. I just read that the building is owned by the Kushner family which then in turn supports Trump and his policies. That part does not feel right to me. They also do not have a loyalty program which is not cool. Every store has one these days. So please Zara, get with the program, as they say.

I felt that they had a great selection of items and for the most part, the clothes were organized. I usually hate shopping in person because of the availability of different sizes but was pleased with their range of sizes. My one complaint would be the lines. Extremely disorganized and super long waits. It really wasn't made clear which section was for returns/exchanges versus purchases only. Ended up waiting on the wrong line for close to 10 minutes because the signage wasn't clear.

It's a tale of two Nordstroms... the Men's store, which has poor service, and the Flagship store…read moreacross the street, which has excellent service. I'm not sure I can remember a time when I've gone to the Men's store and had an overall positive experience...and I've been there maybe twenty times(!)? Perhaps once when all I was getting was a smoothie. Throughout the store the employees seem much more interested in talking to each other than customers; to the point that you have to interrupt to get their attention. Other times you'll feel like you're asking for a pony, BMW, and private beach house when you ask for directions. I've gotten side eyes and eye rolls there. Pushy salespeople are the other side of things. A lot of "do you have this in stock?" responded to with "no, I'm pretty sure we don't". Then you look at your app and it's indeed there, the salesperson didn't feel like finding it for you in the back. Aloof, disinterested, and just overall unhelpful. At first I thought it was just shoes (which is bad) but it seems the whole store needs the manager to actually manage. Because when you go across the street you suddenly don't feel bad for wanting to buy an expensive item from an associate. On the first floor where there is jewelry, body care, and fragrances, the people could not be more lovely. It's a little community happening and the customers are included. The shoe area is great, and designer upstairs, while hit or miss, is at least hit most of the time, rather than the other way around across the street. I stopped shopping at the Men's Store when I'm in NYC. I'll just order on the app and pick up and if something doesn't fit return it on the spot. If I'm spending $$$ on nice stuff, I want the service to fit the cost and at the very minimum, be helpful!

I had an exceptionally positive and inclusive experience with Jazmin S at the Nordstrom Men's store…read moreon West 57th street. I was looking to purchase a present for my boyfriend. Specifically was looking for recommendations for a beard/mustache product - however I needed some guidance picking a product out. In the past I made the mistake of picking a product my brothers used and realized not all products are designed for all skin and hair types. I explained to Jazmin my prior mistake purchasing products and that my partner is half black and showed a picture to illustrate his facial hair type - so I was looking for a product designed for his skin and hair type. Jazmin could not have been more helpful and showed me two different facial hair grooming kits to choose from - and explained the price difference between purchasing the individual products vs. products as a kit. She was both knowledgeable and transparent. Also, she paid attention to details while not making me feel rushed at all. She noticed when I walked by the YSL colognes that I wanted to purchase a YSL cologne for my BF but he loved certain scents of the brand and strongly disliked other scents and I did not recall which one was which. So I commented in passing "I'll have to bring him back in person to get the cologne". While I was checking out Jazmin dropped some YSL cologne samples in the bag and my BF ended up really liking one scent- so now I know which cologne to purchase! Jazmin did me a great job with the facial kit recommendation, my bf LOVED the kit we chose and his bandmates were a bit envious- one said "my girlfriend doesn't buy me stuff like this after my performances!" You did me a solid!!

She walked my friends and me through several sections of the store to ensure that we found exactly what we were looking for. Ms Corita was personable and funny. But Mr Richard at the Customer Service Desk was beyond rule and unprofessional. We were shocked and a little bit of shopping excited dimmed after our encounter with him. He should not represent Macy's while interacting with customers. We were not deterred. Unfortunately we spent tons of time and money on three floors. Many department stores have sadly faded away over the years. Think, B. Altman & Co, Barneys, Henri Bendels, Lord & Taylor, Bonwit Teller, I miss them all like old friends who passed. However, we still have Macy's! - with its annual Thanksgiving Day Parade aired on NBC, plus don't forget Macy's lush Fresh Flower Show display in April/May, and the ultimate 4th of July Fireworks on the Hudson River or East River by the Grucci family over 100 years, now by Jesse Collins Entertainment of the Superbowl halftime shows. There will always be Macy's. Make Macy's your destination even if it's just for the nostalgia. They still have those chunky wooden escalators on the upper floors built in the 1920s by Otis Elevator Company. An Iconic Five stars **Thanks to fellow Yelper, Fawn for the trip down memory lane!**

Has three floors in total in which each floor caters to different categories like heattech + men's + women's + children apparel + graphic tees. There's even a Uniqlo coffee shop on the 2nd floor. A large fake Christmas tree is placed in the center when first walking inside through the entrance. Then, a huge red escalator of heading up and down to each floor is behind the tree. Additionally. everything's either being neatly organized or stacked on most of the shelves and inside drawers except for a couple of areas here and there. The price range is reasonable for most apparel items besides the thick puffer jackets + sweaters + graphic tees. Even though there seem to be signs for the fitting room and cashiers/self-checkout, it's still pretty confusing to walk around and find stuff imo because of how large the Uniqlo space is. I have to flag down and ask different staff about the whereabouts of cashiers as I'm paying with cash. There's a bit of a line for those paying by cash despite several 5-6 cashiers being present while no line at all for self-checkout (card only). No line for the fitting room though. Generally, staff is shown as helpful + amiable + patient in a professional manner towards customers. My favorite section is probably by the heattech area. There're 3 various heattech types of warmth for both adults and children. Of course you can wear whichever layer as you please at the end of the day. All the desired temperatures are simply suitable for preferred reference anyway. The Original (Mild Weather) - 5°C to 20°C or 41°F to 68°F Extra Warmth (Colder Days) - -5°C to 15°C or 23°F to 59°F Ultra Warm (Extreme Cold) - -20°C to 10°C or -4°F to 50°F I think The Original layer of heattech is already pretty warm for the 30s-40s temperature here in NYC. The fabric is the thinnest in material. Very comfy to wear without being too stuffy on the inside. I bought two long sleeved heattech pieces today ($19.90 each). They also come in different colors and styles that might be suited to the personal taste of each and every customer. I'm not sure if they have a restroom for the public, will have to search for it next time...
