For being so big of a store, I was surprised at how open this place was! It looks and feels like a designer boutique, with edgy decor and loads of textured fabrics on the racks. I was amazed when I looked at some of the price tags. Certain jackets I expected to be several hundred dollars were $89. The clearance section had some quilted shirt jackets for $29. I used to the woman's entrance, which leads to the children's section, and finally the mens. I can't deny that the Caucasian worker with a man-bun stood out, nor the Asian worker with an asymmetrical haircut and tight black pants. It looks snobby in here, from the clothes to the workers and the ambiance of the store. It is in reality a totally affordable and trendy place to buy good clothes. Without fail I get behind someone with tons of online returns and/or a dispute. Manager is always short and cold, never smiles, never accommodates the customers that line up behind said return customer. Three locations with three registers, one open. 25 minute average wait time to check out. Always. Go downtown if you can. UPDATE: Waited 25 minutes. Watched 5 customers turn around, drop their items and leave the store. After 25 minutes they told the back of the line there was a register open in men's. So instead of accommodating the person who waited the longest they tended to the end of the line in a section that had no one waiting in line. This honestly has the worst management ever. Why work customer service if you don't want to serve the customer. ZARA, your manager would rather take returns than sell items. If this is your business model, it's backwards. Major revenue loss. If not, hire and train better managers. read more

Waited in line for 20-30 minutes to make a return. I had the receipt but not my credit card that I made the purchase with. Their system cannot make returns unless the card is physically present. They offered a store credit and seemed very annoyed with me. Perhaps there are other retailers that require you swipe your credit card in order to get a refund, but it seems like POS systems at other retailers are advanced enough to not require a card, with all necessary information being on the receipt. Maybe my standards are too high from shopping at Nordstrom regularly. Everything is always a breeze with them. Nordstrom and many, many other shops and boutiques also employ helpful staff who make the shopping experience fun and enjoyable. It's not just higher end shops either- you literally have a 10x better experience shopping at Target than you do Zara. The level of customer service at the Bellevue Zara was pretty similar to what you'd experience at the DMV. Good for them for being busy though. So busy, in fact, that they need to triple their staff. They must be making a killing! read more

I used to work retail and I have to say that this location has no excuse as to why the employees are rude and presentation of the store is sloppy. If customer service is not something you are good at you need to find another job or receive training. I ask a simple question to one of the employee's walking the floor and he responded however you can hear in his tone he wanted nothing to do with me. After spending over $200 at the store and while waiting for my wife to do a little more shopping here, I was sitting on a stool near the doors since it wasn't being used. After a few minutes, an employee walked over to me and said the stool was for the store security person only who was walking somewhere in the store and that I couldn't use it. I told him I would happily give it up when security needed it, but no. So I stood near by it and waited ten more minutes for my wife to finish. No security person ever came to use it. Not happy with the return policy and customer service. Anti-customer policy that doesn't allow refunds with gift receipts. AND they didn't tell us that was the policy at purchase. They wouldn't refund even with the purchasing credit card. I had an experience with online. Don't buy anything from online Zara. Not unless you want to wait an excessive amount of time to get your money back for clothing that doesn't fit. I bought a few items online thinking that it would be like any other clothing store when returning an item, but it's not. When I went to return the items, they stated that they are not the same as "Zara Online" which is a different company? They gave me a ticket that said I made the returns, but now I am in a dispute about how long it's actually taking "Zara Online" to credit my account. They stated it could take up to 14 days. Funny, I returned items to Banana Republic on the *same* day, and that credit was in my account the next morning. read more

I usually like Zara and find they have some interesting and unique selection. However, I came in while they were having a sale and the store was in compete and utter disarray. It was so sloppy, I bypassed any of the sale to look at the non-sale items because you could actually see what you were looking at. There appeared to be like three workers, one in the fitting room and two ringing customers up. I bought a couple of basic tank tops because even thinking about anything else given the state of the store was overwhelming. The kids and men's sections seemed to be better organized. Anyway, if you don't mind rummaging through chaos, sure. But this has kind of put me off of the store for now. read more

Loved Zara until today. I always recognized that their customer service was lacking but didn't really ever need much from them. When trying to returning some dresses I bought in a hurry, she asked if there was anything wrong with the items. I replied "actually one of them does have quite a bit of make up on it, I didn't realize until I brought it home because I was in a hurry". She looked at the dresses and made multiple rude comments insinuating that I was the one who got make up on the dresses. I have never felt so disrespected in a retail store in my life. Wish I could give them zero stars. I love to shop here for my kids clothes but regret it every time I try to check out. They have three different stations for cash registers - one in women's, one in men's and one in children's. However, they almost always only have the women's open and with usually only one person working it...no matter how long the line is. Meanwhile, you can find workers all over the floor but none able to work a cash register for some odd reason. And the managers could care less. I would advise shopping online and returning through the mail. They need better management and customer service. It's awful. read more

What happened to customer service? All kids cashiers were closed, they directed me to men's or women's. Women's had a huge line, I went to men's. Only one person was working at the register, moving very slowly. I waited 15 minutes in line for one item, came back late to work as a result. This review is about their customer service in the dressing rooms. I went with my mother and usually we go into the same dressing room together to give each other reviews of the clothes we chose as well as to not hog an extra room that another customer could use. For some reason, the lady who took us in told us that there was only one person allowed per room. I have never experienced this kind of rule in other dressing rooms before, especially in other Zara stores. What makes this Zara's dressing room different from those in other Zara stores? One of the worst experiences I have had in a retail store in a long time. Went to buy a couple of shirts for my grandson. Took the time to go through the clothes and then when I got to the counter they told me they couldn't sell me the shirt because it's from last season and should not be on the floor. The manager couldn't even reverse it. Really it's on the floor and you can't sell it. Are you in business? You basked for the District Managers phone number and was told I couldn't have it.
