During the first week of Zara opening up at the Westfield Mall, I went in to check it out and ended up buying couple of shirts and a sweater. While the sweater was funky looking in a cool way, the material and quality is horrible. Everytime I put it on and take it off, a whole lotta black cotton (its a black sweater) comes off and sticks to my head, neck and whatever I'm wearing underneath of it. Also after the first wash, the material extended and it got from medium to extra large. It got so bad that I had to stop wearing it. Wondering now why I didn't return it. read more

I used to love Zara but it has gone downhill in the past few years. I am extremely disappointed with the Annapolis mall location. The store is visually unacceptable. Clothes are thrown around everywhere and the displays are disorganized and messy. I have shopped at Zara stores all over the world, even the one in Dubai. The lines are always way too long in this store. Typically 1 cashier even during the busiest holiday season. Cashiers are not properly trained and constantly calling a manager for help. They also yell across the store for assistance and complain to customers about their work conditions. Do better Zara management! read more

Love the clothes, but majority of employees are rude and unprofessional. Customer service is lacking. Had a very uncomfortable experience today where the girl working did not acknowledge me while I checked out, no greeting, wouldn't even tell me my total. Ok, so this review is not just specific to the Zara in the Annapolis Mall, but also includes my dismay at the service in Montgomery Mall in Bethesda, MD and the Pentagon City Mall in Arlington, VA. I would say this is a corporate issue and not just a regional/store issue. I will also say, that I don't want to support Zara as a fast fashion company, but I need some basics for my children that I have a hard time finding elsewhere. Also, I will say, I have worked retail and know how hard it is. BUT, I was in Zara and had found a white blouse and black pants (which my older daughter needed for school). When I went to the register in the kids' department, the employee (without looking up) said 'this register is closed, you need to go to the women's department.' And, of course, there was a huge, long line...at 2pm....on a tuesday. Could they not open another register????? This happens every time I go to Zara. Epic lines. Rude employees. I know retail is hard, but please try to show some sense of customer service. To the management, please try and support your staff and keep registers open. I ditched the items I was going to purchase because I could not face the line. This is not the first time this has happened to me. I spent 30 minutes in line one day in Montgomery Mall because I needed to do an exchange. It was brutal. Zara used to be a fun place to shop, but now it is horrible. And, the on-line experience has also been awful; two times I have ordered clothes for my children and they have never been shipped--there were issues with either delivery or I don't know what. I ordered some items that my children needed for school, but never arrived and then I had to go through a whole process of getting a refund for things I never received. I don't know what has happened to Zara, but the organization as a whole needs a reboot. read more

I went to the Zara in towson mall Maryland in Dulaney Valley in Baltimore Maryland. I came to shop like anyone else. Have shopped at two others stores before going into Zara. I came here the day before to by niece an nephew clothes. I came back because I saw a trench jacket an my boyfriend wanted one for his daughter. An while I was the only person walking around in the children area as I was just about done looking. A black young security guard came in stood at the Threshold of the kids section. After reviewing this location on Yelp, and Against my better judgement and reviews, I decided to stop at this location. Like all Zara the line was looooong. I waited 25 minto return an online order. The cashiers were indifferent, but I'm assuming the manager was nice. I honestly can't remember the state of the store merchandise, because I just wanted to get outta there. Left the store Sunday 3/25 at 5:30pm to take my daughter to the train station. Asked a sales person at the front desk to hold our items since the line was long and only two people were checking customers out. I said I'd be back in an hour. At 6:35 I was back and the authoritarian security guard wouldn't let me into the store. The mall closes at 7pm and Zara's online info says they close at 7pm. Just spoke to the store manager, who would't give me her name, who said the security guard wasn't supposed to deny me access to the store at that time. Anyone else who has had a similar experience at Zara in the Annapolis mall should file a complaint with Zara. I came to exchange a gift that I received. As this was a gift I didnt have the receipt. The manager told me he would exchange for another size. He checked amd they didnt have a different size. I asked if he would exchange for a different item under the circumstances and after a bit of back and forth the manager says, " screw you, there is nothing that I can do. If you fucking made sure to get a receipt with your gift you wouldn't have this stupid problem" read more

I received a gift and it took two visits for me to get my credit so that I could purchase something that I saw online. They should have told me how it needed to be handled on my first visit.... And why couldn't they do the exchange and have it delivered to me? That's how most stores handle it today. Now, I have to return to the store a third time because my handbag was delivered with the sensor on it. The online person didn't really seem to care that I needed to return to the store again either. I just want to say I am shopper I've been to zara stores from the east coast to the west coast and even in the U.K. But this Annapolis store is filled with the laziest employees. There are 3 departments and they only like to use one cashier. Doesn't matter if the line has 20 people the manager won't do anything to help. They will let there customers stand in line for 20 minutes and then tell them to go to a deferent department to check out because she is closing her cashier and when you complain to the manager she refuses to help you. And don't expect them to look for a Sz or maybe the mate to a shoe that your holding in your hand and you want to buy. They say look for it yourself. Go to any other zara except Annapolis. Corporate office needs to get new and helping employees instead of rude and lazy employees. read more

We were standing in a very very long like with 1 cashier. We got up to the cashier and my daughter had put something on hold the night before. When the cashier got it, it was wrong item. My daughter went around the store and found the correct item. We went up to the cashier and said this is what she wanted can you ring it up now. The cadge said we would have to wait in line again. I said that is crazy. While my daughter was in line I went to talk to a supervisor that was in charge at the time and said yes you have to wait in line again. I said well if the person we spoke to the night before had put the RIGHT ITEM on hold this would not have happened. I asked her why is there only 1 cashier and also the Zara store for kids next door didn't have a cashier because they were at lunch. I said to the supervisor she should of jumped on the register and the 3 other floor people that were working on they floor to get the line down. She said they have no training to run a register and neither does she. I said are you serious. You are a supervisor and should be able to to EVERYTHING in the store to cover people. I gave it another chance and once again long wait at the checkout. They had 3 cashiers this time but by the time I was next the two cashiers left leaving the one behind. Of course the last cashier was trying to do a return which took forever. All I had was one shirt I wanted to purchase but only 1 cashier taking a long time with another customer. I've been shopping Zara since they landed in NYC 15 years ago. Religiously. I don't live near a store with a good selection anymore (annapolis isn't bad, but kind of far for me) so I use the online site and the app. The last two orders have been a nightmare! I ordered 6 items on the first one, and returned three. The credited me for one. After a LONG phone call, they credited a second. After literally 6 calls that were 20 minutes each, they finally refunded the third after 3 months. So I took them back. Now they shipped a package they claim was delivered to my home. I called the day it said delivered and told them it was definitely not. They said someone would call me back in 1-2 days. Two days later, I called them, different but equally rude CS rep said I wouldn't hear back from 24 to 72 business hours. Okay...10 days later, no call. Today I received a no reply email that said they talked to the shipper (who the hell is lasership?) and they investigated, and it was definitely delivered. Tough luck, no refund, no replacement. I've disputed it with my CC, but if they tell my bank they same thing, i'm afraid it will be overturned.This is totally ridiculous. I tweeted at them and that got the CS attention, but I doubt they will resolve it. read more

Poorly run store & poor customer service. Always a line of 15-20 people at checkout waiting 25 min in line while the rest of the store staff are folding clothes. When you ask a manager to open another register or to get help they make excuses every single time. Managers should be fired. read more

This place gets no stars because the management at this location need to take "management training classes" to learn how to properly manage the store and their staff. The lines are outrageous for a high end store such as this. They usually have only one cashier for each department but have about three open cash registers in each department without a cashier, all the time. The managers are openly, in front of customers, insulting their employees, not properly training them, and not allowing them to take breaks or change their availability. They deliberately loose company approval forms from their employees on purpose to prohibit them from changing and/or adjusting their work schedules. They change work schedules and do not notify their employees. Employees show up at work only to find that the schedule has been changed with no notification and have to go back home. This location is terrible for both customers and employees. Turnover is high among the employees because of the management style. It's a shame because a store at this "high end" level really should be better for the amount of money they charge for their merchandise. read more

Asking questions is a big no at this store. Don't ask anyone for help!! They will be very mad at you. Also don't go to this store expecting to buy clean clothes!! most of them have been dragged across the floor or have makeup on them in the oddest place you probably didn't even think to check before buying. I tried to buy something here that was on about 30% of the store's mannequins, only received terse 3 word replies in my attempts to learn how i could obtain this article of clothing that I saw literally everywhere, and then had to wait a v solid 20 mins before being told they didn't sell it and did not want me to take one off the mannequin. Girl, I was like "?????". So anyway, that was my experience. read more
