Great National phone service call center. Seems professional and quick to arrive…read more Price gouging if they deem it to be en emergency but negotiable. However, the quality of the arriving technician seems to be crapshoot. The tech is nice, but was unable to fix my issue.... But he did not charge me full price so at least very honest. I called another plumbing company, arrived and was able to fix the issue immediately....... 3 stars.

DO NOT, under any circumstances, use Roto Rooter in Queens New York…read more First, I made SPECIFIC requests for their technician to NOT knock on the door, and rather to call my phone when they arrived - they did not do this and woke up the elderly mother of my landlord at a very early hour. Second, the technician Anthony asked me ONE question about my issue (a clogged shower drain) in which he asked if my toilet flushing causes the shower to clog, which I said no. He DID NOT look in the drain, he DID NOT look in the shower, and then showed me a pricing guide for a quote of $695 plus tax. When I confronted him about why he did not look in the shower, look in the drain, or ask me questions about the shower clog before quoting me a price, he got belligerent in voice and told me "I am the expert, you called me". I've had to have drains snaked before - they cost $100-$200 tops, or $300 in an emergency. Roto Rooter hires unprofessional and uncourteous people, and are predatory in their pricing quotes. Avoid.

He went above and beyond by reminding me to have the dishwasher installers put in a "high loop" with the dishwasher drain line. Reasonable pricing. Definitely recommend!

Sorry to say, I was really not happy with this experience, especially since all the other reviews…read morewere so positive. I was quoted a price of $275 to replace the wax seal on a leaking toilet bowl. When JD arrived, he removed the toilet bowl and replaced the wax seal. Since the toilet bowl still leaked he only charged us $100 and said that his partner would contact us because this was a more complex plumbing problem that he was not qualified to deal with and that such a problem could run into the thousands of dollars. When we did not hear from the partner within two days, my husband (who is not a plumber) watched some YouTube videos on how to do this. He removed the toilet bowl, and found that no preparatory work was done before replacing the seal. Every video that he watched said that it was extremely necessary to remove all of the old wax and any other debris. Additionally, the new wax seal required two longer bolts which he should've had on his truck and should have used. After purchasing the necessary products (wax seal and bolts) which cost less than $10, he cleaned out all the old wax and other debris, and then replaced the toilet bowl which is now no longer leaking.
