He is now my regular plumber. You just lose business when you try to take people for a ride. I had to replace my boiler in the end just last year, so more lost business. Was quoted $3200!!! I was told it would take his guys "all day" to do this. Same exact issues another plumber did in one hour charging $150. I wouldn't take the time to write this but I used to be in mold and restoration an it's so very horrible how company's could rip off people like this. When I confronted the company l, was rudely asked "Are you a plumber or a home owner". Little did he know, my background is in mold and restoration work which included plumbing for an A+ on Angie's list and better business Bureau. You know when a company tries to undermine you in this way and you're given a response such as this - he was called out on this ridiculousness. Others deserve to know. Don't walk, ....run and then find yourself a much better company. Company I hired were very professional and were in aw, they laughed when I showed them this price. Absolutely ludicrous. Allstate promptly came to assess my problem and provide an estimate. the company rep, Eli, was nice, well-mannered and professional. However, ultimately the price for the job came in at the high-end of the various contractors i reached out to re the same job. this is even after contacting them for a lower price. Obviously, i didn't end up using them. So, while i wouldn't hesitate to call them if another job comes up bc the company rep was kind and courteous, i only hope in the future they can be more competitive without having to call for a better price. read more

Nush is professional, decent, and incredibly knowledgeable. He is also, most importantly, trustworthy. 4 months ago I was installing a new bathroom and he came to put in the rough in valves. I told him I'd like him to come back after I finished the tiling to put the fixtures on the valves and he agreed. I paid him the entire amount up front. 4 months later I texted him to tell him the bathroom was ready for him to put in the fixtures. The only experience I had with him was back in November and frankly I was iffy on whether he would bother to come back. He did. Not only did he do that, but when I asked him to install my toilet, he quoted me, started putting it in and then pointed out a problem that meant I actually needed to replace the toilet. He could have just installed it, pocketed the money and been on his way but instead he told me he'd come back to install it after the new toilet arrived, and you know what? I believe him. He's my go-to guy now. If he's busy, I'll wait until he's free. He's that good. read more

Back in November my water heater went out and I called Allstate Piping Corp and spoke to Nush. I told him that I tried to relight the pilot but to no avail it failed. Nush said to send him the model number on the water heater and in the morning the next day he was at my house. Mind you, I live in Rockaway and they're located in the Bronx. I called my home warranty company and nobody else responded so I took it upon myself to call Allstate Piping. They came at 8:00am and were finished by 9:05am. Back in business! Hot water! Fast forward to Christmas weekend, Coastal flooding took out my water heater and my gas burner via 4 ft. of water. I immediately called Nush and he told me that I was going to have a new gas burner delivered to my house in the afternoon. 12 degrees and 50 mph winds, my burner arrived as planned. Nush said that he will be at my house the next morning, on Christmas Eve 8:00am to install the new water heater and the gas burner. What other company would do that? I doubt nobody would want to be bothered. 5 hours later everything installed system ready to go, frozen pipes! After a little investigation he figured out were the problem was and defrosted the pipes and the heat started to flow. This was in my basement garage, cold as you can imagine, where snowmen would want to seek refuge they came and conquered the elements. They bailed me out on 2 occasions with super fast response time and I am very grateful for that. Thanks again guys for everything. read more

Needed a check valve installed for my sewage main line as well as cover caps replaced. They gave a fair quote for the work. Arrived on time as agreed (15 minutes early actually) and finished the work relatively quick. Answered any questions I had. After they finished up I had a completely separate question about my sump pump which was leaking and Allstate looked at my problem and patched it up real quick for no charge. Fixed the leak for $300 (with a mismatched part) left a slight drip then tried to charge me $300 MORE to fix that. Ran the water an hour later to clean the tub (he did not put down a towel to keep the space clean) and there was an additional leak. NOT a happy customer! My building handyman suspected that there could be a leak emanating from under my toilet so I asked Allstate Piping to come fix it. His guys were able to come promptly the next day and diagnosed multiple problems in my bathroom (very old pipes and valves) and gave me a full explanation as well as detailed options for repairs and the price for each. Since the main water shutoff valves in my bathroom were no longer working, they had to come back the following day when the water to the entire building bathroom line could be temporarily shut down. They were able to coordinate with the super and quickly disassemble toilet, sink, and replace all the necessary valves and tubes in a very professional manner. They gave me a complete description of what they found and the repairs they did, and assessed a fair price. I was very happy with the prompt replies to my messages, and the speed with which they could schedule the repairs, in addition to doing the job quickly once they were at the apt.
