I've been a regular at this spot for my Chinese Braised Skewers fix, and every visit has been a fantastic experience. I always get my order to go, and the quality is consistently delicious. Every time takeaway orders only. My absolute favorite and a must-try for any first-timer are the 牛肉大串 (large beef skewers) and the 羊肉大串 (large lamb skewers). The meat on both is incredibly tender and flavorful. On different visits, I've also tried the chicken wings and pork belly skewers, and they were equally well-executed. What's great is that their spices are incredibly aromatic. As someone who loves a good spicy kick but can't handle too much heat, I was pleasantly surprised. Even when I forgot to ask for less spicy spice, the flavor was so rich and satisfying that it wasn't overly hot at all. This place is definitely geared towards those who love bold, spicy flavors, and personally i think it's best known for its skewers. If you're sensitive to spice, you can easily ask the staff to reduce the spice level for you. The pricing is very reasonable. Here's a unique tip from me: I often combine my order with sushi from the nearby J-san Sushi. I love getting both and enjoying them at one of J-san's outdoor tables. The savory, flavorful meat skewers actually pair surprisingly well with the cool, clean taste of the sushi rice! It's a great way to get the best of both worlds. What's your favorite skewer to get, and have you ever tried pairing different cuisines like this? Let me know your thoughts!

I like the light ambience showing happy, relax and enjoy. The service is good and we got 10% off when pay in cash. You can go to the fridge to get the drink( 1 side has beer and other side has non alcohol drink). The beef skewer is the best. Other skewers like lamb, pork and chicken are good. Tofu is good. . There are 2 accessible washroom。

This place is perfect if you want a lively environment enjoy bbq and drinks with your friends. The decor is pretty trendy with neon signs and big projector screens. You can help yourself to drinks by grabbing them from the refrigerators and the staff will tally it up for you at the end. The bbq here is very tasty but also pretty oily. They have all of the standard kinds of skewer you'd expect (lean beef, fatty beef, lamb, chicken, etc) and as well as some. There is a small outdoor parking lot right next to the restaurant, but you can also park in the garage and get your parking validated.

Stopped by for an early dinner and really enjoyed the lively atmosphere--good spot for Chinese BBQ and drinks. The skewers were all tasty, though they had similar flavors without much variation. The ambiance stands out with vibrant neon lights and signs, and the service was good throughout. Food was good and priced competitively compared to other Chinese BBQ spots I've been to. Definitely worth checking out.

First time trying this restaurant. A very pleasant surprise. The flavours were very good although there is a strong cumin flavour with all the dishes. The skewers were all excellent and the fried noodles were the best. The fried rice was good but not as good as the noodles. The pig ear was really good. The fried lotus root was good and was quite sweet as they put a coating of sugar.

House flavour egg plant is so good! It's crispy, saucy, and full of flavour. This place has neon signs everywhere, so if cyber punk is your vibe then you'll enjoy the aesthetics here. Beef skewers could be drive ymmv, lamb is good. Their tendon is also good, unfortunate that the sizes used to be bigger.

The interior is filled with neon lights and signs - all over the wall and ceilings - which make this place a pretty cool evening spot to hangout with friends. There is a lot of seating and we didn't have to wait for a spot when we got there. We ordered only skewers and they use the same seasoning as most Chinese skewers place - cumin and spice. They do have other menu items as well. When I went, they had a promo where you can get free skewers if you posted and tagged them on social media, They also have a self serve drinks fridge with a huge selection which I thought was nice - there are so many drinks I have never seen before, We got these flavoured sparkling drinks and they were pretty good. There is a parking lot beside the restaurant.

This is a nice place with nice vibe for skewers! The price is pretty similar to other skewer places and has a good variety between main dishes and different types of skewers. The spice level the skewers come in were not spicy at all and some skewer were a bit salty. It was not bad but it was not the best either. The service was friendly and fast. You order on your phone through the QR code. Overall, pretty mediocre but a nice place to gather with friends.

It's a Chinese northeastern BBQ place, interesting interior design, but I don't like the lighting, blue and red, make foods looked weird. Their bbq are good too, a bit too sweet for me though. Service is good and fast.

It's a vibe. If you don't mind the neon lights, this place is a pretty cool hangout spot to catch up over skewers and beers. Seating was pretty spacious and service was prompt. Food was quite good with reasonable portions for price. Not for the faint of heart but there are a lot of interesting animal cuts/organ meats on the menu. Most of the dishes by default were spicy but had the option to make it non-spicy (for the skewers at least). They also give you the spicy cumin seasoning on the side so you can adjust to your preference. Overall, I think Chatbar is more flavorful for the grilled meats and vegetables but this place had larger meat skewers.

Great for late night snack and reminiscent of the street food culture in China! Chengdu style cuisine has some spice and this spot was generous on the flavours. Many of the servers speak Mandarin here, and all know English as well. My friend and I ordered grilled lamb, chicken, whole squid, QQ tofu, and Yuntun soup/spicy dumplings. My favourites were the QQ tofu and chicken skewers. Yuntun soup also comes with small bite sized wontons which were deliciously made (top tier flavour and texture!). 4 stars because the lamb was chewy and the squid was also hard to peel apart so we requested scissors to cut it in smaller pieces, which the staff did. There was more on the menu that we wanted to try so I actually recommend going with a bigger group to get a taste of their full menu! Service was great, they had staff available to check in regularly to top up water. Overall music was a good volume and the neon lights created a great atmosphere. Another table brought bubble tea from next door which the staff did not seem to mind. Very relaxed and casual hangout spot perfect for friends and family!

We decided to try Chinese BBQ skewers for the first time and this place did not disappoint. A friend of mine who lived in China was highly impressed. The place was clean and bright. They had lots of seating and can accommodate to a big group. The service was fast as well. Their skewers were seasoned well (a bit salty but still tasted great). The meat were tender and juicy. We also had the mapa tofu. If you are a fan of spicy food (really spicy), this dish is a must try. We had kung pao chicken and deep fried lotus. To finish it off, the jelly dessert was a great way to calm our taste buds from the spiciness. The fried rice cakes were very soft and chewy with a nice crunchy coating.

I wanted to try Peking Duck and got clued into J&Y as one of the best options to try which did not disappoint. The Peking Duck was so tender, so flavorful and so wonderfully succulent. It was perfectly prepared and sliced with the fat rendered and thinly sliced. The wraps were not the monstrous steamed buns but traditional translucent wraps which are super thin, soft and pliable. Scallions, cucumber, hoisin sauce completed each wrap which highlighted the duck. Definitely the best traditional Peking Duck preparation I've had in a very very long time. The remains of the duck were used for make a duck fried rice and duck soup, again both were amazing. It takes a certain skill to make fried rice cleanly without an excessive oily coating on each grain of rice. This was one of the best fried rices I've ever had! No gratuitous mushy frozen peas needlessly added either. Well seasoned fried pork ribs and veggies completed the courses I had, everything was truly wonderful and I hope to revisit again.

I forgot to take pics, but their portions are very generous for the price. Their noodles are hand pulled and you can really tell the difference in the quality. It's more bouncy and filling as they have more substance to them. Their service was very attentive and quick, and while the space of the restaurant is fairly small, there was no wait for 2 of us at 6:30 on a Saturday. Coming with a bigger group may be tougher considering the space. My total bill came to just under $26 after tax and tip, which is very reasonable for the amount and quality of food I got.
