Zanza Bar & Grill is tucked off Snapfinger in the Cuts--and honestly, I'm glad I found it. Born and raised on the east side, I know the best lounges are the ones with free parking, good music, solid drinks, and a grown folks vibe. Zanza gave just that. As soon as I walked in, I could tell the crowd was a little older and I was probably the youngest in there, but the energy was everything. The DJ was hittin' with a little bit of everything: Boots on the Ground, Just Kick It and Beef It Up...all the classics that get the whole room moving. I didn't eat this time (I've heard the wings are fire), but I did order a Sidecar. The bartender had to check the recipe real quick, but she still came through with a smooth, strong cocktail that hit the spot. If you're looking for a chill east side spot with good vibes, grown energy, and a real neighborhood feel--Zanza's got it. I'll be back for the wings and another round.

Friend had a bday party here , kind of small but large bar area wait staff was friendly music was a mixture if old school r n b and like 70s soul /rnb. Def grown and sexy crowd. My friend package included food it was supposed to come out at 930 but it was an hour late. It was good though. Meatballs were great , wings , pasta salad and fruit tray. Idk why it was late if they knew a party was there. So he played a bday song , but was hoping we could get on the mic abd actually sing happy bday to cut the cake - idk the exchange but he wouldn't let her on the mic , but shouted out some other girl at the bar it was her bday. It was not crowded at so idk why that couldn't happen. It's a nice place but I def wouldn't do a party here

The food is great and the staff is better! The food is really good, their menu is not overwhelming and they came out a few items worth the season. Some of my favorites are the chicken tender basket w/chips (huge portion), blackened chicken Alfredo, and the chicken Kiev (recent addition). My fav sides include the chips and the brussel sprouts! They also make great drinks and have a decent local draft beer selection that rotates. They have a calendar of events and host an Irish band on Tuesdays and trivia night on Thursdays. There is plenty of outdoor seating for the lovely days & nights. Check them out, you will not be disappointed!

I was happy, so I decided to buy a round for my 2 friends that I invited. We enjoyed the beers and one had apple cider I think, and we had a big pretzel and tried some Shepards pie. We talked about Steam Punk events, Oh wow that meat potato, peas, maybe cheese, and I do not know what all, was terrific. The baked crust was crunchy and really hit the spot. I had never tried it before, but I was sure I would prolly have another one the next time I visited the Bar. Cooper, the manger was friendly and fast serve. Daniel was our server and very attentive, My friend asked about a dark lager beer, the difference with light, and Daniel went to great lengths to share the difference. The vibe in the bar lively with animated discussions, going on everywhere. My kind of bar, My Dad owned a Bar up in Ohio till his death at 93. He drank beer every day, endured back then second hand smoke, and lived a great life. so alcohol and food is a good mix, add friends and you got a match. My friends say I talk toomuch, but I have no idea where they get that? Grin...... Hee hee hee I had a great night and expect to return. I am a 77 year ole US Navy vet, I am legally Blind, and was celebrating with friends about recent patent success. We are gonna help the Blind, Deaf, and Mute. I recommend that you try out this great Place John Gutmann, aka walter-bs, Blind Sighted

Looking for a down to earth, old school, earthy comfortable bar in the heart of Decatur.. .. u…read moregots it . Gets a bit loud at times later at night, and still holds on to that friendly family vibe you don't see anymore, in Decatur. Their beguiling beer/tap menu is bout 4 pages long by itself. The friendly informed barkeeps (EMMA & Davey) are more than happy to guide you thru the choices and give an intelligent recommendation. No joke. I always gets one of their plethora of stouts, with their soup o day, Veggie Empanadas, & the vicious Deviled Eggs / Spicy Fried Pickles. Yum. Locals and regulars are always there and friendly & kind. Easy Parking, lot at TMT. Made a friend at this place.

I headed straight for the bar. There were a few patrons scattered around, but it definitely was not packed. The first thing I noticed was how dimly lit the interior was. With my old man eyes, I actually had to turn on my phone flashlight to read the menu at the bar. I was happy to see the beer menu was very extensive with a solid number of food options as well. I was looking over the beer list and the friendly bartender came by. I advised I was in the mood for a nice sweet stout and he made a suggestion and provided a taster. I was sold and ordered a full size. I was leisurely drinking my stout and enjoying the atmosphere. The bartender made sure to check on me and make sure I didn't need anything else. I will definitely be back to taste some other beer and food options.

I got the falafel wrap, which includes 1 side, and I asked to sub the fries for broccoli which was a $5 up charge! I wish I would have known beforehand!! The poutine was also a small portion. The place was packed with people and the kitchen was reportedly overwhelmed, but we stayed. After all that, the servers were great. I had the fish and chips with the Cheap beer. The anonymous cheap beer was faintly beer-flavored, just enough to be not water, which is exactly right for a $3 glass of beer. My fish was good. Two pieces of battered and fried white fish served with tartar sauce, a tiny scoop of cole slaw, and French fries. My companions had chicken wings, vegetarian chili, and poutine. The chili was fantastic, and I heard good things about the chicken, but the poutine was a pass. The cafe is reasonably large, with two dining areas inside plus a bar and an outdoor patio. The decor is neighborhood sporty, with an emphasis on Wisconsin (Green Bay Packers and UW Badgers prominent). I'd definitely eat there again.
