Summer Salt in concept, is an exciting, inventive meal, with a focus on locally sourced…read moreingredients. In reality, this was a grossly overpriced meal for a lot of hit/miss items and rather small portions. To start, we reserved the covered patio. The chairs were wildly uncomfortable with no low back support. Service was friendly and attentive, always refilling waters and clearing plates. I do appreciate how the staff acknowledged our special occasion and even printed a keepsake menu. This did not go unnoticed. Now for the food: You pay $95/pp for a 4 course meal. 6 small (shared) plates that are merely 1-3 bites per small plate, per person, and an entree and dessert of choice per person. $95 pp wouldn't be horrible if the small plates were executed properly and if you got more than 1 small parm crisp and 1 small fritter per person just as an example. The portions were laughable, and this was moreover a tasting. Some items needed simple basics such as salt and acid to round them out. The beet salad, green beans and fritters were severely underseasoned. The star of the show was the linguine and clams. We both ordered this. This portion was appropriate. Again, for the small salads/bites, a pasta dish per person and a slice of cake per person, a more appropriate price point would have been approx $55-75 per person contingent on your entree (there was also steak and fish). The lemon mirror cake was a nice ending to the meal and we appreciated the complimentary coffee. We left with the general consensus that it was good, not great, nor memorable, and felt we overpaid for the quality and portions. Of note: this is also a BYOB.

This definitely would have been 4 stars for the beautiful decor, friendly staff, and interesting…read moremenu. The pre fixe menu was good, though not a lot of food per person. The spot on the water with the view of the dunes is gorgeous. I don't mind paying for an expensive meal. But over $100 a person for average portion size and no drinks (it's BYOB) is crazy. For that reason alone I wouldn't go back. I need at least one martini to justify paying $130 a person.

Our drinks and water were refreshed without asking, which is great! The Dining Room was clean and the Ladies Powder Room was well stocked. Our salad greens were fresh and the blue cheese dressing was cold and freshly made. We started with the Crab Imperial Onion Rings (which were crispy inside and topped with creamy and hot Crab Imperial, then split The crab cakes which were perfectly done. There's a nominal fee (less than $8) to split the meal, but totally worth it because each diner receives a crab cake (which is rather large and made with real crab meat) along with an ample serving of the two sides that come with the meal. (We chose the mixed vegetables and roasted potatoes which were cooked perfectly. The veggies were crisp but not hard and the potatoes were soft but not mushy.) Overall, 10 out of 10! (And we look forward to visiting again soon.)

They split our party, totally unexceptionable, there was NO reason why they couldn't accommodate 1 more seat. The host was very rude to us, I don't know if he's the owner or not, but he needs to work on his people skills. That being said, the food?..cold, hard brussel sprouts, the menu said red bliss potatoes, they gave us au gratin potatoes, no explanation, when I told the waitress I couldn't eat them because of the cheese she said that's all they had. I had the prime rib, the steak knives are in desperate need of sharpening. You're lucky I'm giving you a 1 star

There was one guy playing guitar music, not too loud, which made the atmosphere cozy. They have a great cocktail list if you want to try something new. The wedge salad was large and had a twist- it had a different type of dressing, crispy onion on top, and traditional blue cheese crumbles. The cheese steak comes with thick-cut fries, and the crab cake main had coleslaw on the side, which was crisp and served with a light dressing. Looking forward to dining again soon.

We weren't 100% sold because of some of the reviews, but still gave it a shot. We made a 6pm reservation online and were able to park in the lot adjacent to the restaurant. We were seated immediately and the hostess gave us a table by the front window. Nice, out of the way, allowed us to chat and people watch. We were initially shocked at how empty the place was for a 6pm reservation, but by the time we were done the place was packed. Out waitress came over and took our drink order (she never introduced herself, which always kind of annoys me). I ordered the Barrel -aged Manhattan (it came on the rocks though I ordered it up) and Wifey ordered The Maverick - gin, Aperol, lemon, Ginger, mint. For starters we had the Steamers special - in a white wine garlic butter sauce with grilled or charred shallots and Chargrilled oysters with spinach, panko, cheddar, and hot sauce. For our entrees Wifey had the NY strip with seasoned potatoes and I had the Crab cakes. Steak was excellent...the crab cakes were small for the price, but full of meat. Delicious Cole slaw. Appetizers were also great - my steamers were different than I've ever had because the flavor of the shallots really added a ton of flavor. Drink prices are ridiculous (they are everywhere on the island, but especially for the size of the Maverick. Food was great, service was ok (though our waitress wasn't very enthusiastic), you'll pay Island prices here, and place gets VERY loud so be aware.

There's a fixed drink menu and no seating, so it's very much a stand-and-hang-out kind of place. From what we heard, it can get pretty packed later in the evening, but we arrived right when it opened at 4:00 PM and had no wait at all. It ended up being a great place to kick off the night. The cocktail list is entirely Christmas-themed--festive and fruity flavors. The cocktails are served in Christmas themed vessels. If cocktails aren't your thing, they do offer beer and seltzer options as well. It's a fun, high energy stop that's perfect for soaking in some holiday spirit.

Out of all of my visits, my favorite is the weekend brunch menu. There are so many yummy things to choose from like the breakfast burrito, the banana Forester French toast, the various of Benedict's including crab, and there were a bunch of various breakfast sandwiches, but the most menu appealing one that I liked is the pork roll. On my last trip I wound getting a chicken brie apples bacon on brioche bread. It was a special of the day. From the moment I bid into it, I knew I would love it for the savoriness, the crisp and sweet tasting bread. There was a side of potatoes... Very nicely seasoned and the perfect crunch to them. On my last visit, it was a total of 10 people in our group and the customer service was great. We were all able to pay with separate checks... Always a perk. The waiter was super super friendly and kept our coffee refills going. Inside it is busy which could lead away from the quiet ambience, but I didn't mind it at all.

Former home vibe, i was one of the earliest weekday diners. The tofu burnt ends and bbq jack fruit sounded so intriguing that I almost begged the kind server to ask the chef if they could serve a side portion. Otherwise the bbq is served in pound increments. For my lucky tummy, they obliged and wow those are both delicious vegan options! Maybe next time, i will visit here earlier during my trip to be able to take home leftovers. Booth was cozy and love that water bottle to refill my glass is on my table which sounds weird but I drink alot of water! Small place , would recommend reservations for weekend dining.
