A very popular place with lines that go outside the door simply because they are exceptionally good value for money. The signature dish is the chicken biriyani that's £3.50 and deserves 4 stars as on most occasions it's really good. Overall though am giving the place two stars because the lady behind the counter seems permanently miserable have never seen her smile. If you order anything other than the biriyani it's served cold and you have to microwave it. Also ordering parathas and egg at breakfast time is quite the ordeal. On two occasions when the parathas have fallen on the floor they have taken them off the floor and served them until the customer rightly made a fuss. I had been told they make parathas and omelettes till 1pm, one time I arrived at 1145 and the miserable lady said too late, but they are served till 1pm, kitchen closed, but I can see them still making them at the back, she stared blankly. Another time I waited patiently in the queue, a Muslim man jumped the queue to order his Indian breads, she served all the Muslim looking customers and then when it came to my turn she served him and it turned out he had a large order, I asked her if my order would now be behind his large order as she served everyone else first and then let him jump in, once again she stared blankly as if to say take it or leave it. Never heard her apologize, please, thank you etc. So I'd say for members of the Muslim community especially this place is a 3 star establishment, for non Muslims it's a 2 star overall due to the difference in service. read more
