If I could give this store 0 stars I would. I was just hung up on twice by the manager Maria. Last Saturday 7 days ago I went in to buy an engagement ring to get engaged that day, we ended up buying my fiancé's ring as well. 4 days later I woke up with 2 diamonds lost on the ring. Maria played phone tag with me, never called back when I was expecting one I had to call her every time. I was hung up on and told to talk to customer service because I am 6 months pregnant with hormones and I'm upset that I'm walking about with a ring that we paid good money for thats missing multiple diamonds and was only offered to get the same ring shipped to me after Christmas, keep in mind I am 2 hours away from this location. I have insurance for that. The customer service from the manager Maria was despicable. The regional manger was kind enough to call back within the next hour after being hung up on. I am sad to write this review...errr! pause! Perhaps it's Zales that should be sad that they have lost my business for life. I walked in to this store with a very particular item in mind. I walked in, strolled the store. Attempted to make eye contact with the 3 employees working to make sure they knew I was in there to shop and not just browse and the least they could have done would be to at least acknowledge me to let me know they will be with me shortly, but no, this does not happen. I find what I'm looking for, the pricing is not visible, so I'm forced to wait for some assistance. Ok, I'll wait my turn. And I wait. And I wait. And then I wait some more. No one seems too interested in greeting me, but then, the kicker! A couple walks in, they are greeted within about 2 minutes of their arrival whilst I have been waiting for upwards of 15 minutes, and not only does their employee let them know that someone will be right with them, but then after she finishes up with her client, she walks right over to them to help them....right in front of me, the lady that is waiting to shop and potentially purchase some jewelry. Absolutely horrible customer service. I bought a ring here that had to be resized. They told me it would take two weeks to do the job and they would notify me when it was done. When I call to check on the order and their associate replied with "I don't know". I get a hold of a manager who was actually very helpful and she tells me it would take another week and they would notify me. Now I check in again two weeks after and apparently it had been done and there's no phone call, no email, and they send you a link to an order status portal and there's no update on that. I wish I could give than one star. This whole experience has been a nightmare. First I buy the ring. I wait three weeks for it to come in after the sizing. Okay, fine. I go pick it up. It sat in the box, unworn for some time before I decided to wear it one day. About thirty minutes later, I look and it appears a diamond around the center stonehad fallen out. I was frantically wondering why and what the heck happened! Luckily, I had bought the warranty, so they said they'd fix it but it would be ANOTHER three weeks before i got it back, unless I pay $35 for a rush and then it will be one week. Ummmm, I wore it for less than an hour, I am not paying a dime, so I said, return it. They con me into keeping it (which I was over it by this point) and say they will pay the rush fee and it'll be one week. One week later, nothing. Zilch. Nada. I call in and ask what is going on. They said and I quote "it's not like you are paying for it so it'll be here when it gets here". Ummmmm excuse me but I am paying on the purchase itself, which I haven't really had the option to wear yet now have I? NOT HAPPY!!!!!!!!!! It comes in, two weeks later, and I look at it. I am like this doesn't look right, there are diamonds missing on the side. They try to tell me that is their cleaning materials. Where the diamonds WERE was solid WHITE. Kinda hard to miss! I said clean it and let me look under a microscope and I was it examined. NOW. After it still looked that way. Was not offered them to inspect nor see it under a microscope. I was frustrated and needed to get out of there. I brought it home where I examined it and yea, two diamonds are missing on the side---when they were there when I brought it in! She says I cannot buy a ring with small diamonds "because they will always fall out".......first, you should've said that when I looked at it. Second, I have other pieces of jewelry with small diamonds and believe me, they haven't fallen out and I wear them too. Some BS there. And I ain't having it. I went to return it which they gave me every run around you can imagine, trying to get me to buy something else, etc. The lady CONFIRMED the diamonds missing. I was LIVID. I will never return here again, rest assured. I wasted 8 trips there and back. The best part is it was 6 months no interest. So I have paid equal payments. Today I find out they didn't put the promotion on my account and I am being dinged with 26.99% interest from the purchase date!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mind you, I have paid extra and early! Last year the week before black friday my fiance and I stopped in to check for wedding bands while shopping at the outlet. We are happy we did! I ended up finding the perfect band based on what I wanted and fit for my unique engagement ring. Also it was on sale due to the early black friday sales!! My fiance tried on rings yet sadly didn't find any he liked. The girl helping us out was very nice, cleaned both my rings and explained the warranty of the ring I purchased. I honestly wish that I could give less than one star for this store. Before the christmas season my now fiance and I went into this store after having been to a regular zales to see what they offered as far as specials. I had my heart set on a Vera Wang engagement ring, just my luck the designer never goes on sale. We waited for over half an hour to have an assiciate help us which for us was not a big deal. We both work in the sales industry and understand how difficult it is working with undecisive clients who take up alot of time. Eventually when a sales person freed up she went to an older couple who had just entered the store. Luckily they were kind enough to let her know we have been here before them. She then came to help and we showed her what we were looking at, she went over pricing and options and we had decided that would be it just not at this moment. To my suprise she was not annoyed at all by our answer and wrote down her name and information for us to come back. I absolutely loved that! I thought that for her going out of her way and not looking at us like two kids just looking around I told my fiance he HAS to go back to her for my ring. A month passed by and my fiance went into the store to purchase the ring, he let Starr (sales rep) know that he wanted the ring along with the gurantee and if he could put it on the 36 month no interest he will take it. She seemed thrilled to sell the ring to him and once she began to ring him up she rang for the WRONG card only 6 months no interest. She told my fiance to call once the card was in to have them change the interest. Once the card was recieved we called and were told that it is not possible to get that. All there is now is 12 months interest free. One third of what we were originally promised. From there we were a bit miffed but we dealt with it. After having spoken with a sales associate from another Zales they let me know that we were to have gotten an elegant box with the ring for it having been Vera Wang and also a certificate of authenticity from her. I called Star wondering why we were never given that and she had no answer for me she said she was sorry and mailed it out. Which was annoying to me because had we not had said anything I would have never gotten it, but fine thats not the worst part. We dropped off my ring for sizing over this past weekend and were guranteed that it would be in by today. Starr let us know that she would call by noon letting us know to come in and get the ring. She did call us at noon... but to let us know that it was never given to the company that does the sizing until today and now i wont have it back until some time next week. I am beyond upset with this store. Mind you my fiance and I live in the city. We kept going out of our way because of the way (an hour and a half) all because we are both in the sales industry and we liked the way she originally presented herself but after having worked with them for a bit I will NEVER buy from this store again. I work for the insurance industry, and trust me i am very patient. This is just above and beyond for worst customer service i have ever seen nor had. read more
