Like many, I was drawn to CD Peacock for their partnership with luxury watchmakers and hoping to get a watch to commemorate a special occasion I initially met with Denise and spent a fair of time looking at pieces. I was continuously pushed to buy a second watch to "hold you over" until the watch I was looking for came in. I am unsure of how many spend thousands on a "hold you over watch" I was assured my info would only be used to contact me about that watch. Since then I received: Offers to buy gold Fernando Jorge jewelry Offers for someone named Jake? I even spoke with their director Bill Foley! He asked for 3 months time and he would reach out. Guess what? No call back and "it must've not come up in my calendar" If you want spam texts and irrelevant promotions, this is the place for you. I will tell you my experience at CD Peacock Oak Brook from the beginning. On February 2021 we set up an appointment with Coleen Digilio, because we decided to get presents for our 20th wedding anniversary.We bought a Rolex datejust for my wife and I told Coleen that I'm interested in the Rolex GMT BLRO. I was told that it's not available at the moment. I followed up a lot of times through email but still no avail. We went back April 2024 and bought a ring for my wife's 50th birthday and to follow up if my dream watch Rolex GMT BLRO is available to get for my 50th birthday present also. We talked to Pat this time, but still no luck. My dream watch will remain a dream since I just found out that Rolex GMT BLRO is being discontinued. I purchased two new Rolexes here last year: a rose gold Sky-Dweller and a ladies stainless steel and rose gold Datejust. I put my name down for the Sky-Dweller in 2024, so the wait was just over a year. When I finally went to pick it up, I was surprised to be asked which dial color I wanted. I said slate and asked what was available. The answer was "all of them." That strongly suggests inventory is being held back to create the appearance of demand. That alone might not bother me as much if I hadn't already spent over $70,000 on two watches, plus another $5,000 on service in 2025, and still been given the runaround when I asked to be added to the list for a stainless steel Sky-Dweller. I was told in September that I'd been "put on the list" and reasonably expected a call before year-end. It never came. What did come was a reality check. While wintering in Florida, I stopped into a Mayors and asked about the same watch. Two weeks later, despite having no prior purchase history with them, I was picking it up. Keep that in mind before deciding whether to play their silly games. read more

I was interested in looking for a nice timepiece, so I figured I'd visit The CD Peacock mansion in Oakbrook, IL. If you ever go to Oakbrook Mall, the parking is a nightmare. As we pulled up, I was ready to look for parking but to my surprise there were 3 spots open for CD Peacock Customers and we parked immediately. We arrived at 4 PM on a Sunday which was about 1 hour before they close. When you first walk in, a security guard greets you and pointed us in the direction of a gentleman that asked us what brought us in. I did make an appointment with my contact so he let him know we arrived. He asked us if we wanted water and brought 3 bottles if water while we waited. In the meantime, a young man walked in w/out an appointment and the security guard directed him towards the same gentleman that helped us and showed him some watches. My jeweler came down in approx. 7 minutes and we walked towards the brand I was interested in. He was very knowledgeable about the watch that caught my eye. He knew the history of the brand, the differences of the watch, what features it has and the uniqueness of the model. He was very patient with my questions and we walked from brand to brand. In between brand shopping, we stopped by the bar located in the 2nd floor and I had a drink. I initially thought the first floor was nice but the when I hit the 2nd floor, my jaw dropped as it was gorgeous. As I looked at other brands, my jeweler was very patient and answered my many questions. He knew I was not planning on purchasing a timepiece but was doing research on brand, feattures and pricing. I did not feel pressured to purchase anything. I indeed did not purchase anything but he took my information and added me to his client list. Overall, it was a great experience! When I am ready to make a purchase, I will visit this place again. read more

My fiancé worked with Julie on my engagement ring who to help customize the perfect ring and make suggestions. She worked to expedite my resizing later on to ensure I had it back to travel and celebrate with family. For my wedding band, I knew I wanted to stay within the CD Peacock family. I worked with both Zachary and Rich who each made great suggestions to complement my other ring. I loved the idea of an untraditional band that has a gap between the two stone to allow the band to sit flush. It also happened that CD Peacock was running a 20% off Bridal Sale! My ring came in 4 weeks; super quick! In the middle of our ring buying process, their Oak Brook location underwent a large renovation and move. Their new two story building is beautifully designed, showcases their premiere brands, while also still showing details of their long standing Chicago history. The hospitality is unmatched and have yet to find a better clean for my rings. I highly recommend checking out one of CD Peacock's locations for your next jewelry or watch purchase. read more

As long time, regular customers, we have to accept the soul of CDP is gone. Since the move to the new store, the level of sales service is unrecognizable. For 27 years we shopped there with ZERO issue. ZERO. As of the last two months we've had two issues with two different SA's. Upper management, skillfully, handled the first issue and won back our confidence. Unfortunately, that was brief. The second issue was worse than the first issue and I don't think I'd be believed if I brought it to managements attention - because I just had a version of the same problem a month ago, only this time, with egregious contempt from the SA. Basically, they use purchase history in the store, either for or against you, regarding your position on the Rolex waitlist. Because I recently had the audacity to make my first ever timepiece return in 27 years - which I felt horrible about and overly apologized - I was told point blank, "this is unfortunate because it will delay your husband getting his timepiece from Rolex.", along with angry and annoyed facial expressions, a tisk-tisk tone, and repeating a second time how unfortunate about the Rolex, as if I didn't hear her the first time. I sat there in silence just because I wanted my return to go through. The district manager joined us and graciously handled the return. But I didn't say what just happened and how uncomfortable I was. So, we just accept it's not the same place anymore. 27 years and 20+ watch purchases and jewelry is wiped out by one return. Got it. These waitlist tactics are beneath us and leave us feeling icky. Not playing the game. There is a huge disconnect between the professionalism of management vs the unpolished and unprofessional sales staff. We are aware there are other places to buy nice things. While we don't expect the same service at CDP that we receive at GRAFF and TCO, common courtesy and basic politeness isn't much to ask, particularly when we are courteous and polite as customers. read more

Incredible store. Recently built and opened earlier this year. Lower floor has some watches, then the second floor is a whole lot more watches and a sizable bar. Plenty of staff means even on a busy day there will be someone to attend to you. Staff was as much selling me on a watch as on their store. I was given a history lesson of the original store in downtown Chicago, and a tour. Really impressive store, and well trained staff. This is a destination even if you have to drive a distance. read more

Gorgeous remodel CD Peacock- bravo! This is a bi-level jewelry store now (in the old Clubhouse restaurant location): The ground level looks like how an airport set up with separate "boutiques" within the main store with major names like Cartier, Rolex (Nordstrom is doing a similar vibe). This makes it easy if you know where your destination is/what you're looking for. It's a bit tricky if you are more browsing. The top floor, although similar boutique vibes featuring Mikimoto and Roberto Coin, also features a GORGEOUS bridal section for engagement rings and wedding bands. It's absolutely dreamy and luxurious! There's also a large circular bar in the very middle of the floor. But there's a lot to learn when it comes to customer service and finding the flow of a new space. When we walked through the front doors, it seemed that we walked into their Rolex "boutique". We asked the gentleman there to point us in the direction of emeralds specifically. He walked us over to a case and said "these?" Nope not those, so we asked to see others. He replied "maybe upstairs?" It was like he was just trained to sell Rolex's and only Rolex's. He was not interested in being our salesperson. He was only interested in us if we were interested in Rolex's. We did wander up their stunning staircase to find way more employees (hooray finally we can get some help!) but NOT ONE PERSON approached us. Not one person said hello or how can we help or ANYTHING! It was as if they were TRAINED not to speak to the patron first! There are several security guards wandering about which made it feel like getting off a cruise ship in another country- Toto we are not in Kansas anymore. My biggest feedback was that this is no longer the CD Peacock I can go buy something in a "reasonable" price point. Everything seems like elevated luxury, and while that's great that their brand has gone in that direction... I'm not coming with you for the ride. I was looking for an emerald ring somewhere in that $1k- $2k range. There was nothing... and worse nobody willing to help. Beautiful store, I hope you do incredibly well. Worst ever experience at the Omega corner and the review is specifically for the Omega sales team. The supervisor was rude to his team but also rude to us. He did the impossible job to send us out empty handed. We bought our Omega the same day from another AD. Although I own several expensive fine jewelry pieces, purchased over the years from the Woodfield store with courteous assistance, this frankly does not exist at the Oakbrook location. Both my husband and I have visited the Oakbrook store with consistently poor service. I went to the store to shop for diamond jewelry during my last visit and available staff did not talk to me until the security guard noticed I had been there for some time and assured me a salesperson would come and help. I don't dress up to shop and got the impression that salespersons did not take me seriously. When I inquired about items in showcases and replacing a missing diamond in one I owned, the woman I talked to was dismissive and even left to inquire with others about pricing, then returned to ask whether I could pay for a remarkably low fee. It's rather insulting and unprofessional service from a store that has built its reputation on selling exquisite jewelry. I have a Hearts on Fire engagement ring and wedding band, which are featured at this CD Peacock. My husband wanted to upgrade the rings for our anniversary and I preferred to shop for something else as well as a high-end watch for a gift for him. The salespeople unfortunately lack basic etiquette skills, including greeting customers. Needless to say, I will take my business elsewhere and hope management reads this review reflecting our experiences at the store and provides better training to existing employees or engages in better hiring practices. read more

As a longtime customer, I was anticipating the reopening of the new store. I loved the old store, but definitely could use more space. When I went by today to get some jewelry cleaned, there were some things that I noticed immediately. Customer service is at an all-time low. While it may look like employees are there to help you no one approached me and asked if I needed assistance. I had to go to one of the counters and ask for assistance, even though three employees were standing next to each other discussing something. I was directed upstairs which then I waited at the counter for 20 minutes for someone to come and help me. There were plenty of employees upstairs not one stopped to ask what I needed help with. I looked at the cases of jewelry and still not one employee came to ask if I needed to see anything or needed assistance. I truly missed the old place. read more

I went in today to look at a used Daytona, and after I was told that it was all original box and papers, I expected it and identified that it hey had an aftermarket band, hands, and had been very heavily polished. The band wasn't even stamped correctly. The pricing was comparable to a what I will see on a fully complete and "near mint" with original parts. I told the sales lady that she had an issue here and she said maybe you'd like to look at a different one... as if she saw no issue with them advertising something original with box and papers, but not fully original. OK. Just be careful out there. It was the stainless black face that I was told was it 2006. read more
