This is a Mom and Pop group that has a few stores on the island, one in Great Neck, Plainview and Queens. I decided to do my yearly eye appointment with them and it was smooth and enjoyable. The prescription lenses turn around was crazy, the next day, which happened because they have a machine on site that can cut the lenses into the frames you want on the spot, and it did a great job, these are the clearest glasses I own. I made an appointment 3 weeks ago and only got called yesterday with someone asking for my insurance information. The staff was super friendly and quick with the check in process. What I love most about We Care for Eyes is they educate you instead of pushing you to buy products. I felt comfortable and informed the whole time. The doctor took her time with me making sure the contacts were fitting and if the prescription was clear enough. He is an ophthalmologist who is excellent in his field. The waiting room had the patients socially distanced and also had hand sanitizers. I only waited a few minutes and was called into the testing room. The nurse asked me to place my chin on a stand for the glaucoma test. I asked her if she could wipe the stand with sanitizer. She said she already wiped it but she graciously did it again. I was examined by Dr. Lo Pinto who, of course, was wearing a mask and gloves. It was a great visit with a wonderful and careful team of professionals.

They are as good as it gets if…read moreyou're looking for and eye exam, possibly in need of eye glassed...I want to mention I have been under the care of a local Eye Doctor for many years and without going into much detail I am going to ask Dr. Skoljarev to be my primary eye care Doctor and here is why: On November 26 I woke up with something in my right eye, or that's what it felt like. I did my best to correct that problem but nothing worked and it was painful. When my eye care doctor opened for business I called his office. I told the person who answered the phone that I had something in my eye and I wanted to see the doctor. After speaking to the Doctor she told me he wasn't seeing an more patience today. She asked me if I wanted to make an appointment for Friday. Then I thought about "My Eye Dr." The Doctor who gives me my eye exam is an "Eye Dr." I got on the phone and called their office and Peggy Kessler picked up. Peggy, I have something in my eye can the Doctor see me. When can you come in, I'll be there in 5 minutes...Doctor Skoljarev took me in her office and examined my right eye. The results of her15 minute exam she said I must have scratched my eye with my fingernail during the night.
