Normally my eye visit takes 1/2 day due to the tests & dilation of the eyes involved. My experience at South Shore eye care with Doctor Flicker was extraordinary. As a first time patient I was assessed on time for my appointment & within 1 hr I had seen the doctor taken a few tests & received my results. I highly recommend Doctor Flicker office as his assistant Ashley & all of the staff was extremely friendly & explained any test they were conducting thoroughly! Thank you for making my diabetic yearly checkup a great experience.

I truly do not understand the negative reviews of this place!…read more I came here recently for cataract surgery and had an amazing time (or as amazing as surgery can possibly be!). I only waited about 30 minutes after my arrival time to be taken into pre-op. During that time I spoke with the billing department (private rooms) and paid my deductible and coinsurance. They answered any questions I had. My ONLY unpleasant experience was the billing person who called me the day prior to my surgery who had the nastiest attitude and played dumb when I asked the same questions I ended up receiving answers to on the day of my surgery. The nurses in the back (Maura was my pre-op nurse) are incredible. So friendly. They check on you constantly without being overbearing. The orderlies who take you to the laser room then the OR are friendly and polite. My recovery nurse (Fiona) was phenomenal and made sure I felt good and ready to go. I elected to not be wheeled out to the car and she allowed me to walk alongside her, which I found nice since a lot of places pretty much force you to use a wheelchair post-op. The waiting room is huge. It's only cold near the door to outside. If you sit further away from there, I promise you will not be cold. Plenty of parking although it was a bit icy due to a recent storm. Easy to get to, right off the Northern State. Amazing facility!

Back to wait area and was quickly called in and met with the nurse. All of my items were locked in a locker, signed a document affirming location and items. Then off to the a surgical chair, went over the procedure, name of doctor, etc. so informative and everyone so far was helpful and compassionate. Surgery was successful, everyone in the operating room introduced themselves, and what they would be doing. Room was clean and bright. Woke up in recovery and the most pleasant surgery I have had. The place was clean, the staff were professional and attentive. Kudos everyone for doing a great job and so glad I came to this location for my surgery. Thank you.

She is kind and professional and I have recommended her to many friends and family members. I have called her several times to answer questions and she has recalled me very promptly . Alexander Hatsis botched up my left eye surgery. There were huge chunks of debris remaining in the…read moreeye after the surgery and the haptic was not totally in the sac (i.e the lens was not placed correctly in the eye). When I went to this doctor for follow up, he told me that the debris would go away but such huge chunks could not, I confirmed with another doctor. As a result I had to go to another surgeon who did vitrectomy and placed the haptic in the sac (i.e correctly placed the lens in the eye). Surprising thing is that when the second doctor called Hatsis and said told him that haptic was not in the sac, Hatsis told him that was OK. This is shocking. I would not recommend Hatsis to anyone.

Decided I should check my scripts and see a new eye dr. I called and made an appointment with Dr. Craig. They got me in that day and he spent a lot of time with me. He listened to all my concerns and gave me a lot of input and recommendations. I even got a thank you card in the mail a few days later and the doctor personally wrote some other suggestions on the card. I am feeling so blessed to have found him. With all I've been through and all the doctors I've seen, it's truly a blessing when you find a good compassionate doctor that doesn't just want you in and out of the office! My ins covered most of it but the secretary failed to inform me ahead of time, that to add on scratch and glare resistance cost me more out of pocket. I didn't know that until AFTER I picked out my glasses. The Dr. though was nice and patient and honored my request to not shine bright lights into my eyes.

After a month I called her office to speak with her. Her assistant called me, twice. She wanted me to send photos, that wasn't happening. She wanted me to come to the office. That was pointless, there is nothing she can do and she will never touch my face again. I said what she could do was get on the phone and talk to me. She wouldn't, she hid behind her assistant. So know this, if Dr. Becker treats you and it doesn't turn out right, she will hide and avoid any sort of responsibility for her actions. This is not someone I would want treating my eyes.
