I went to the store with my receipt, and was told they were sold to Myeyedr and they would not help me with the defective lens coating. They offered me 40% discount on new glasses if I used my existing frames, which laughably was more expensive with the 40% discount that I paid for my original glasses. They clearly did not stand behind their product! Very disappointed!

I went in and filled out the requisite paperwork. Then was called into a small room at first and the very nice nurse did some tests with me. Then i was called into another room by a really cute young man to meet the actual Dr. I asked a lot of dumb questions im sure and the Dr. was really trying to be patient with me. I honestly thought i'd get glasses today but um nope. Big old Nope. SO i had my eyes checked and dilated and now i can't see for shit oh well. Two things one should know: First: When I went for my appointment I had no complaints and I just wanted an eye exam to use to purchase my yearly set of glasses. I saw the optometrist who insisted on doing a retinal scan which I did not need. He claimed he saw things on the scan and tried to send to an ophthalmologist that he knew. He wrote on my referral slip that said I had all kinds of vision complaints none of which were true. In retrospect this is not the first time this has happened here. It looks to me like because I have good insurance they are sending me for referrals that I do not need to make money for people that they know. Second: That day my wife also purchased a new pair of glasses. She decide in two days after pick up and wearing the frame that the new glasses did not fit her correctly and because vision-works offers a 100 day exchange policy we returned her glasses and she picked out a new frame. The new frame was priced $50.00 cheeper that the original frame I had purchased. The sales representative refused to refund the $50.00 I was owed and he refused to give me store credit. He said if you exchange a more expensive frame for a cheeper frame they do not refund your money. I believe that I should have been informed of this prior to picking out the new frame. Every year on top of what my insurance pays I spend between $800.00 and $1200.00 on new glasses for myself and my wife. I will never shop at vision-works again. If you do I suggest you beware before punching anything at their Levittown store.

She went home with three new pair of glasses that have truly improved her life on a daily basis. Dr. Schoenbart Made this exciting and made her independence feel achievable. The sale may be good for the optometrists, but it's completely changed the patient experience. You notice it immediately. The staff are highly concerned about insurance before they even say hello, non-covered charges, and now try to push the sale of their own frames and lenses - which was the first time we experienced this. Front desk office staff, and the "manager," seem overwhelmed on the phone, and in-person. They can be heard complaining about patients, speaking about patients while they're on the phone and forget to put you on hold, and/or in-person. There is no upper level management accountability. Luxottica is a large company, but nobody in the office knows how, or where, to get the contact information for Luxottica. This makes it convenient for them, so that a patient may not escalate billing and/or patient questions/concerns. There is no transparency, and absent owner accountability, since it apparently all starts and ends with the front desk staff.
