My son-in-law went to dr rubin because of a swollen eyelid and pain on 7/31/23. His wife and I both called and asked the receptionist to verify with the doctor if he was able to treat my son-in-law whatever he might need done because he had limited time to take care of the problem and if he should perhaps go to Ocli or ER. We were both assured he was capable, well Not the case - a wasted visit dr rubin Could not write a prescription until October!! He couldn't treat him and advised he urgently go to urgent care, a waste of $20 co-pay and time I will call my insurance to fight that visit. read more

I found Dr. Neil Rubin to be 'outstanding'. I had been seen by another doctor elsewhere. My dry eyes and other issues had been ignored. Doctor Rubin treated my dry eyes, as well as clogged tear ducts. These conditions are painful. He immediately called in my prescription. Also, I was examined for my new eyeglasses. I've been coming to Dr. Rubin for over a few years now and I gotta say he has got to be the best eyedoctor I have ever had. He's a very friendly guy and he really cares about his patients. He takes the time to get to know his patients, gives thorough eye exams, and gives excellent medical advice when it comes to your eyes. When I was in there today, I had to bring my 4 year old daughter because I had noone to watch her. I gotta say, the guy is great with kids, he was even changing the eye chart on the screen to different shapes and having her read them to him. His staff is excellent as well, they do everything from help you choose frames, answer questions about insurance and prices of contacts, and will give you advice from their previous experiences with any surgeries they may have had. Six months ago I had lasik eye surgery at the reccomendation of Dr. Rubin and I must say it was one of the best things I have ever done. My eyesight is now 20/20 and I have no need for contacts or glasses anymore. He recommended I see Dr. Donnenfeld at TLC laser center, and what a good recommendation it was. Dr. Donnenfeld was great and the surgery turned out even better. Your eyes are one of your most important body parts so when it comes to them you want to make sure you have the right people checking them and caring for them. I recommend Dr. Rubin for his excellent care, great personality, and excellent advice. read more

Dr Rubin is truly the best eye dr I've been to. I recently started wearing contacts. He was so patient with me during to process of finding the right prescription due to the fact my far vision is great but I can't see well near. I couldn't stand the glasses on my head anymore. We found the right fit and I've been so happy! Today I had to run into his office thinking I had a contact stuck somewhere in my eye. He fit me in and checked my eye, and I must have lost it. He gave me a new contact and didn't even charge me. It pays to go to a real dr and not just anyone. He truly cares! Great front desk as well. In today's world, your front desk is so important! I have to highly disagree. The office manager is extremely rude and unprofessional. I had a terrible experience there after myself and my children were patients for several years. I accidentally/ in error showed up without a referral that was required. I totally understand their policy and respect that, I tried to reschedule for another day with the intention of bringing my referral at that time, they wouldn't even give me an appointment. I had the added pressure of my eldest son leaving for college in a few weeks and they wouldn't cut me an inch of slack in granting me an appointment even though by Monday, this was a Saturday and I was trying to get everything corrected. I found their lack of consideration for my family and my time rude and unnecessary. I cancelled my own appointment and my other son's appointment and went to Vision People in Bellmore who are much more accommodating and reasonable. read more
