Took my grandmother to Zaky Mediterranean Grill after she mentioned wanting to try something new. Her usual go-to is Norm's, which is actually right across the street. But she had seen this Mediterranean spot nearby and was curious about it, so I told her we should give it a try. The restaurant is tucked into the corner of the lot, attached to the same building as a Starbucks. The Starbucks drive-thru can block a few of the front parking spots, but we got lucky and found one open. We walked in and were greeted right away--no one else was inside, which gave us time to explore the menu. Miriam, the young woman at the counter, was polite and patient while I explained the different dishes to my grandmother. She decided on a plate with lamb and steak kabobs, hummus, tabbouleh, cucumber yogurt, rice, and garlic sauce. I ordered the Zaky Bowl with beef & lamb shawarma, rice, and garlic sauce. We sat at a booth and waited while they cooked everything fresh, which was a nice surprise. The restroom was clean and the soda machine was self-serve for easy refills. When the food came out, it looked great and tasted even better. My grandmother enjoyed her meal and mentioned she'd come back here in the future as a healthier option. Service was great and that's what the stars are for. Food is not great. Ordered lamb and rice Zaky bowl. Paid for extra for tzatziki, a pita bread & feta cheese. Total $23 & some change. Lamb was good, as in decent. Out of 4-5 pieces, a good portion was fatty. Good flavor though. But the rice was flavorless; seems like it was from a box or is microwaved, it's not the delicious Mediterranean rice one expects with lamb. Tzatziki needs work, very bland. Tastes just like watery plain yogurt with cucumber in it, zero seasoning. Don't know what the Zaky sauce is made of but it's really good. Overall, I think that for the quality of food served here, they are really overpriced. There's several much better options in the area. read more

We stopped by early in the morning with my friend -- sleepy and hungry -- and it turned out to be the best decision! The food was absolutely amazing. The fries were perfectly crispy and golden, and you can tell they're freshly made, not just reheated. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside -- just perfect. I also have to mention their tzatziki sauce. It's clearly homemade, with hand-chopped cucumber pieces. That honestly impressed me! Not many places make everything from scratch anymore, but here you can really taste the freshness and care in every bite. The wrap was so good that I didn't even manage to take a proper photo -- I had already eaten half of it It was juicy, flavorful, and perfectly balanced with the sauce. The service was just as wonderful. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They helped us choose our food, explained the menu and prices, and were so patient and kind -- which we truly appreciated in our sleepy morning state. Such a lovely place with a warm atmosphere. The lamb was cubed but didn't taste like lamb at all, and the rice tasted like store-bought minute rice. The food here is very good and the protein (chicken, meat etc) portion is cooked to order so be prepared to wait a bit for your order. The sauces that are served with the food are delish! I especially like the garlic oh so good! My only complain was the price. I paid $22.98 for one person. A bit pricey but very good food and the portions were big! I wasn't a fan. The rice was hard, the hummus had no flavor, it needed salt and seasoning and more olive oil. I ordered the plate with the half chicken . The chicken was ok not good and not bad just ok. I might not have noticed had they been more generous with the garlic paste and the pita bread but they give you one little pita bread and one small thing of garlic paste that wasn't enough for the whole meal (although those were good just too small of a portion) It kinda felt like a nickel and dime you kinda place and I really dislike that. I recently came here yesterday, I ordered the steak cabob and it was okay. Don't get me wrong, the steak and orange rice was good, they gave me a full bowl of rice than steak. It seemed like they're stingy with their meat, it was a small portion. It also came with a sauce that was in a medium size container that goes with my food. During a pandemic, wearing masks is paramount to preventing the spread and assist with community trust. Unfortunately, this business has placed a mandatory mask sign on their front door but are unwilling to enforce it in not only their customers who walk in to order but also with their own employees. I do applaud the young lady at the register tonight for properly wearing the mask so that it covers the whole face. Another note, tonight a customer who was not wearing a mask came in about 3 minutes after my husband and I had placed our order and she left with her food well before we have. While the pandemic is going on, I do not have enough faith in this establishment to return or order take out if they cannot even enforce their own rules with their employees who are making the food. The food is good. You get alot of food especially since you are paying $15-$20 per person. I love the various selections and combinations that they offer. The Baklava! I love it!
