Took my grandmother to Zaky Mediterranean Grill after she mentioned wanting to try something new. Her usual go-to is Norm's, which is actually right across the street. But she had seen this Mediterranean spot nearby and was curious about it, so I told her we should give it a try. The restaurant is tucked into the corner of the lot, attached to the same building as a Starbucks. The Starbucks drive-thru can block a few of the front parking spots, but we got lucky and found one open. We walked in and were greeted right away--no one else was inside, which gave us time to explore the menu. Miriam, the young woman at the counter, was polite and patient while I explained the different dishes to my grandmother. She decided on a plate with lamb and steak kabobs, hummus, tabbouleh, cucumber yogurt, rice, and garlic sauce. I ordered the Zaky Bowl with beef & lamb shawarma, rice, and garlic sauce. We sat at a booth and waited while they cooked everything fresh, which was a nice surprise. The restroom was clean and the soda machine was self-serve for easy refills. When the food came out, it looked great and tasted even better. My grandmother enjoyed her meal and mentioned she'd come back here in the future as a healthier option. Fresh food, kind service, and a chill spot tucked right across from Norm's. Worth the visit.

We stopped by early in the morning with my friend -- sleepy and hungry -- and it turned out to be the best decision! The food was absolutely amazing. The fries were perfectly crispy and golden, and you can tell they're freshly made, not just reheated. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside -- just perfect. I also have to mention their tzatziki sauce. It's clearly homemade, with hand-chopped cucumber pieces. That honestly impressed me! Not many places make everything from scratch anymore, but here you can really taste the freshness and care in every bite. The wrap was so good that I didn't even manage to take a proper photo -- I had already eaten half of it It was juicy, flavorful, and perfectly balanced with the sauce. The service was just as wonderful. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They helped us choose our food, explained the menu and prices, and were so patient and kind -- which we truly appreciated in our sleepy morning state. Such a lovely place with a warm atmosphere. We'll definitely be coming back

First time at Zaky's, and I decided to try it today on a whim. I ordered a bowl combo for over $20, which included protein, a base, a side, and a drink. I got lamb with rice and hummus, served with pita bread and tzatziki sauce. Honestly, I wouldn't recommend this place if you're looking for basic Mediterranean flavors. The lamb was cubed but didn't taste like lamb at all, and the rice tasted like store-bought minute rice. The bowl also didn't have any veggies, which was disappointing compared to the pictures on the website and in-store. The hummus and tzatziki sauce were also underwhelming. Overall, I felt the meal was overpriced for the quality, and I probably won't be returning.

Stopped by on Sunday, 11/12/23 for the first time. I was the only customer inside (ordering to-go around lunch time). Ordered the following: - 1 Plate (chicken kabob, quinoa salad, tabbouleh salad, fire feta, rice and tatziki sauce) = $16.99 - 1 Plate (steak kabob, cucumber yogurt, quinoa salad, tabbouleh salad, fries and tahini sauce) = $16.99 - 1 house salad (with falafel) = $12.99 SUBTOTAL = $46.97 TAX = $4.46 OVERALL TOTAL = $51.43 Yummy overall. I probably waited around 15 minutes for my order. Personally a bit overpriced but Mediterranean food is typically expensive. 3/5.

Massive Greek salad with chicken shawarma!!! It was perfect in every way I could have asked for!

This place never disappoints other than I can only eat here when I'm working. Please open one up in the Chino/Chino Hills area so we don't have to choose from a fake Mediterranean franchise chain like Cava or Luna Grill!! Beef & Lamb Shawarma wrap If ever in doubt...so juicy and full of flavor. My go to every time

The food here is very good and the protein (chicken, meat etc) portion is cooked to order so be prepared to wait a bit for your order. The sauces that are served with the food are delish! I especially like the garlic oh so good! My only complain was the price. I paid $22.98 for one person. A bit pricey but very good food and the portions were big! All in all I do recommend to try this establishment.

Deliciously made all around! Great customer service and the food was made fresh!! And perfect meat juicy and tender. The place was super clean and organized. Love this place. Just wish they had shrimp. But everything was great!! Highly recommend this spot!

A few of our favorite vegetarian restaurants have been closing down lately, so my mom and I have been searching for a new spot. We were SO HAPPY and SO SATISFIED with the food and the spectacular service here. Everything here is vegan. If the name has a protein in it, just know that it is a faux version made of mushroom or tofu skin. Since it was our first visit, we ordered a lot hoping to find a few good dishes, but we were pleasantly surprised that everything was delicious. House Hot Tea ($3) - Great deal for a pot of hot tea for the table. Very complimentary to the food. Hot and Sour Soup ($11.95) - Warm, soothing. I love that it's a chunky sweet and sour soup. Lettuce Wraps ($11.95) - Fresh appetizer to compliment all of the other warm items. This was really crunchy and well textured, which you can lose with vegetarian/vegan food. Crispy Oyster Mushroom ($19.95) - MUST ORDER! One of our favorites. The mushroom has a tasty batter and it's deep fried with basil. Simple but delicious. Sesame Crispy Fish ($17.95) - MUST ORDER! Super crunchy and flavorful. I think it's made from seaweed and tofu skin but it has the crispiness of baby fish. General Tso Chicken ($16.95) - A really good mushroom alternative. We were really surprised how much we liked it. I haven't had the meat version of the general tso chicken, but I'm digging this vegan version. Chicken Fried Rice ($13.95) - A good base for all of the delicious food. My mom commented that it was too bland, but I feel like if it was any more seasoned I can't eat other entrée items with it. To me it's a base, and it was what we needed to round out the meal. Great friendly service from beginning to end. They were really good about refilling our water, giving my mom extra napkins, helping us pack up our leftovers, and all those small thoughtful touches throughout the meal. We will DEFINITELY be back soon!

The atmosphere is unassuming, modest, and quaint. There has always been plenty of seating whenever I've visited, but I have seen the tables fill very quickly, especially around dinner time. The one and only downside is the portions for the price, but I don't blame the business for that. This economy is not friendly for restaurants, let alone a vegan restaurant. I have eaten from this place a handful of times. I am not even vegetarian, but I will continue to support this business because I support Asian owned businesses. Overall, I highly recommend this place if you are in the mood for authentic vegan Chinese food, even if you are not vegan.

I would have preferred for it to have some kind of spice that lacked too. The drumsticks were the main item I visited for and they were good; however, they were on dowels vs. sugar cane... just a different vibe, not a deal breaker. Two issues with my visit here: 1. asked for a sweet chili sauce, but it has no chili in it, just a sugary sauce AND when I got my bill I was charged extra for the sauce but no mention of this when I ordered it. I have no issue paying for extra sauces 1. If the sauce is worth a hoot and 2. Awareness that I'm paying for it. Prices are a little high for the quality of food. The parking lot is a little undersized for the amount of businesses in the little strip mall area. One MAJOR complaint and issue 2. They claim the restroom is out of order (which I saw on previous reviewers posts, which was over 1 month ago)... idk how a business can operate without a restroom for customers. I get emergency situations, but how have they gone this long without a working restroom for customers? To make this situation even worse, it doesn't appear they have any neighboring businesses to partner with on this issue because if you need the restroom they tell you to go across the street to Trader Joe's. Next time I'm in the area, I'll just grab something from TJ's to eat and not worry about dining at My Vegan.

I enjoyed the tofu the best then the crispy chicken. The fish I think had five spice seasoning and seaweed (nori) to give it that fish flavor. I enjoyed the sauce on the fish but the flavor of the fish itself was just ok to me. The service was friendly and the food came out fast. Would go back again to try some of their other dishes.
