[[HIGHLIGHT]]Haven't been to a lunch spot in a long time with better views than this. Such a beautiful day to eat here and take in this view.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I had the Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc and buffalo chicken sandwich and it was perfect. Do note that eating outside is very popular so expect a wait. I'm not sure they take reservations, we didn't have any, so took about 45 mins to get a table outside.

Zaidee's Bar & Grill in Ojai, California.

You don't just arrive at Zaidee's Bar & Grill--you end up there, like everyone in Ojai eventually does. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a local hangout, the kind of place where regulars know each other by name, newcomers are welcomed without question, and good food and cold drinks seem to pull people in from every direction.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place hums with a kind of joyful chaos: sunlight slanting through the windows, laughter rolling off the bar, and that unmistakable glow of a room where everyone's exactly where they need to be.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The beer flows cold and steady, pints sweating on the counter like they've been hauled straight from a mountain stream. The Old Fashioned is a quiet masterpiece--strong, smooth, and dangerously balanced. One sip and you feel the static of the world fade into something manageable. The food walks the fine line between comfort and class--dishes you'd expect to find at an expensive restaurant, but served without a hint of stuffiness or pretense. Every plate feels handcrafted, purposeful, and alive with flavor. The Zaidee burger drips with richness, the fries hit that impossible balance of crisp and tender, and even the salads have that fresh, deliberate touch that tells you someone in the kitchen cares deeply about getting it right. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The energy in the room is pure Ojai--laid-back, sunlit, and pleasantly unpredictable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] You might stop in for lunch and find yourself still there long after dark, trading stories with strangers who feel like old friends. No pretense, no rush--just good people, good food, and time that seems to stretch in all the right ways. Zaidee's isn't just a restaurant--it's a state of mind. A rare place where the drinks are honest, the food hits the mark, and the world slows down just long enough to remind you what matters. Five stars, without hesitation.

Good food, loved the smaller menu (you know they specialize their stuff- too much on a menu makes me think their food is kinda all over the place and nothing can get the care it needs), but to be honest the food was nothing special. I dont have any complaints, loved the view and the ambiance with the stone fireplace theyve got. Everything is pretty reasonably portioned. My omelet was great and well made. Pretty place in Ojai, check it out!

Nice relaxing spot to eat located in the golf course grounds. Open to the public. Comfortable restrooms and plenty of seating inside and outside with gorgeous views. They have a full bar with delicious drinks and wine. Salads are huge, tacos were good too. We also tried a burger and all the toppings were cery flavorful except for the patty (it needed salt and spices) Overall a pleasant experience. Service is friendly.

With all the hot new restaurants piling into town (ahem, Rory's), it'd be easy to discount a more humble establishment like Zaidee's, but I encourage you to run-not-walk there. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Regardless of the food, the views of the mountain range overlooking the golf course are objectively stunning[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. But to make matters better, the food is killer in its own right. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Enjoying dinner while gazing at the sunset's shifting shadows is idyllic as it gets.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I got the Beet & Arugula Salad; when I order some version of that salad, I know there's a strong likelihood it will be a tired offering of the same old ingredients. To my delight, this rendition was primo. The beets, oranges, pistachios and goat cheese were individually well-prepared and collectively inspired. The ratios were on point, never making me wish I'd left more beets or goat cheese for my final bites. Moreover, they let me sub lemon vinaigrette for balsamic vinaigrette. Note: this salad is only available for dinner. Along with the stellar scenery and above average service, Zaidee's deserves to be an Ojai staple.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Such a pretty place to eat![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was great and reasonably priced, I wouldn't get the Caesar salad again but everything else I would.

Zaidee's Grill and Bar is the Soule Park Golf Course's clubhouse. Full bar, great menu, friendly staff, and great service. What more can you ask for? How about one of Ojai's best places to have a sunset cocktail? The view of the hills and golfcourse can't be beat from the patio. The light and airy interior tables offer great vista's, as well.

What a pleasant sunset dinner! We were in search of a sunset view cocktail, which surprisingly is hard to find in Ventura County, but we drove the 33 and up Camp Comfort's scenic route to avoid afternoon rush hour, and I remembered Yelpers raving about this place. We hit it perfectly, with time to order a Cape Cod and an Old Fashioned from their full bar, enjoy a warm evening on the patio overlooking the wooded golf course, and watch the sun set. My husband and I shared the large serving of tasty rockfish baja tacos and a delicious berry cobbler loaded with two scoops of vanilla ice cream. Our server was friendly, enthusiastic, and helpful, which made the beautiful idyllic setting even more memorable. We will definitely be back.

Comfort food, classic choice for a chilly day.

Went out for an early dinner at 4 PM. We ordered off the lunch menu. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The view from the restaurant is spectacular.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was delicious and the service was great. Look forward to returning again sometime soon. Two of our group had the grilled cheese and tomato soup and I ordered the beet salad, generous servings for a reasonable price.

    The view was nice

Baja tacos were a swing and a miss. They skimped on the sauce and the food was bland.

As it is one of the places that stays open later, we came in during the evening and had no trouble finding a table outside once the crowds died down. They had a Hazy IPA on special for $5 so of course we had to order that and it hit the spot. IPAs and lagers make up most of the menu, but they do offer a nice variety of brews. You can order food from the walk up window of Little Sama Ojai inside, but it was closed by the time we stopped in.

The brewery is super cute and cozy, with wood/black accents and a boutique shop in the corner featuring local artists. There is plenty of places to sit inside or outside or at the bar. The bartender helped me pick a beer, and it was happy hour, so I only spent $5 on my 16oz pour :) We shared the Krupuk and pickle plate. Krupuk = airy tapioca chips, melt-in-your-mouth or crispy, with two flavorful sauces. It was a pretty large bowl so great for sharing. The pickle plate was lovely, 4 types of pickled vegetables (cucumbers, red/white onions, and bell peppers) which went great with the krupuk. Great place to pass the time!

To be a truly great restaurant you need all three if there's a chance of a return visit. Maginn's Irish Pub did everything to a very high standard. The Fish and Chips I ate was superb. The drinks were spot on. The service could not have been better, and the place is cozy and welcoming. What more could I ask for? Can't wait to return!

Pub food has lots of comfort so it's a good place to indulge and unwind after a stressful day. Which seems to be everyday these days. I opted for the cheese toasty but they were out of tomatoes that day so I didn't get to experience the full Monty. Wife got the fish sandwich. Tasty slaw on it. Daughter got the steak frites. These had skinny fries while the sandwiches had thick pub fries. Didn't order any drinks but most people looked happy with the selections. You can ask to get 10% off your meal if you go to a movie and show your ticket. I asked our server about it and said she'd take care of it. Well she didn't. Whatever! I figure it's tough making a profit these days so I didn't push it. Wouldn't want the pub to go under for just $8. Service seemed pretty slow as it may have been understaffed the night we went. Several people outside waited quite a while for their checks to be handled. Didn't take any pictures, plenty are already posted in other reviews. Free Parking is in the garage adjacent. That is a nice draw in Newhall.
