Just as good as I remember. It is soo great to see Zachary's in Livermore, as the San Ramon location has been gone for some time. I could eat an entire small stuffed baked chicken pizza alone! The sweetness of the basil, perfectly seasoned marinara, mushrooms, garlic, everything is delicious. Its a great vibe in here with a beautiful bar; brick interior. Its a place that can serve both fam nights and friend night out! Highly recommend and will def be back for more of this bay area staple. read more

We had a mid-week work group lunch at Zachary's. The staff was very accommodating of our large group, even taking a change in reservation time in stride. We were able to order some deep-dish pies ahead of time so that they were fresh and ready for us right when we arrived for our reserved time. And when it turned out that many of our group arrived about 15 minutes after the reserved time, the staff kept the pies in a warmer so they'd be nice and warm for when the full group was finally there. Throughout the meal, the staff was attentive and at the ready. I especially enjoyed how one of the staff members served an initial piece to each of us in the group. It felt special (and her cheese-cutting skills were on-point!). At one point, a gentleman walked over to our group to see how we were faring. After some chit-chat, he revealed that he was Zachary himself! He'd opened his first Zachary's deep-dish restaurant back in the 80's and it's grown since then. That was a fun surprise! We had a good amount of leftovers to take away at the end of the meal. The staff packaged them for us and sensitively packaged the veggie pizzas separately from the meat pizzas. Had an outstanding experience at Zachary's Chicago Pizza. Being from Detroit, I don't play around when it comes to good pizza--and this place delivered. The deep dish was absolutely dialed in. The crust was perfectly cooked with that ideal balance of crisp on the outside and soft, buttery texture on the inside. Every layer was on point, from the rich, flavorful sauce to the quality toppings. You can tell there's real intention behind how they prepare their pies. Last weekend my dad suggested pizza for our family lunch and I was so glad that I knew that Zachary's is now open! First off, I really love the colorful decor. It gives off happy vibes. And I'm thrilled that the enormous ceiling fan is still there! The service was fine. Nothing wonderful or egregious to report. The food! I took control of ordering because my family was thinking at a glacial pace. I chose the arugula salad for all of us to share and it was very tasty. The only annoying thing about arugula is it's very difficult to stab with your fork. My dad didn't have an issue though (surprise). For the pizza I ordered the stuffed Zachary's Special (Italian sausage, green peppers, mushrooms, Mozzarella and ONIONS). The reason the word onions is in all caps is because in my slice I got A LOT of them. I love onions. Unfortunately they were raw. I don't know how you can bake a pizza for maybe 30 minutes and have the onions be raw. My suggestion, and I am absolutely not a chef, is to maybe sauté them for a little bit before they go in the pizza. They were so pungent that when I got home, my son asked if I was eating onions. I tasted them all day. Otherwise the pizza was delicious. My family was only able to eat half of the pizza because it's so massive so my dad let me have the other half to go. 4.5 stars, rounding up. Zachary's has a soft opening this week, but they know what they're doing, so there were almost no rough edges. We had at least three different people helping us at some point, so good teamwork there. The Wife and I were regulars at the Pizzaria Uno in Philly many years ago, so this was like memory lane. We always got the same thing then, and we got it again at Zachary's - a small stuffed cheese and tomato. Small, but with two salads, plenty of food, and two pieces (out of six) to take home. Oh, so good. I added oregano and crushed red pepper, which are on every table along with Parmesan. I had a Caesar salad, which was quite good. The croutons are tasty but huge, and I would have likes the option for anchovies, but the lettuce was actually deep green. The Wife had the spinach salad, which is kinda hard to find around here. Balsamic vinaigrette, hold the bacon. Sine Zachary's is a Chicago style pizza place, they actually have Jeppson's malört on the drink menu. IYKYK. The other cocktails sounded tasty, mostly standards with some kind of flavor twist. I also had a glass of Wente red blend. Because I did a reminder to bring the wine, they gave me a discount on it, which wasn't necessary, but nice. The interior is bright and fun with all the customized prints. With Doppio Zero and the Slice House coming soon, along with Wingen, downtown Livermore has great pizza options at last. read more

We arrived late-ish on Saturday night after a long day competing in SF. We were promptly seated and water served. The dining area was clean and had an open feel. Our crew was hungry so we ordered a few thick crust pizzas - bbq chicken, veggie, and pepperoni. We also ordered a kids and gluten free pizza. Very accommodating menu!! We asked for the kids pizza to come out first which it did. We were informed the thick crust would take 35-40 min to make. It did seem like a took a while before our pizzas came out but that might have been because we were so hungry that it felt like a long time. The pizzas came out piping hot and very rich!! This was my first time having Zachary's deep dish so I could barely eat an entire slice. I wanted to try all three so I ate a little of each and I was completely full. All though we were there late we never felt rushed by the staff. Everyone was very friendly. read more

Enjoyed our time at Zachary's this weekend - we had a medium sized deep dish with a Cesar salad and it was plenty of food for the two of us. Service was amazing as well. Just remember the deep dishes take 45mins to make so don't come too hungry! The only thing is I wish the fillings of the pizza were more hefty, the pizza was more on the tomato-y side but still tasty. read more

The pizza here is very, very good. The ingredients are fresh and flavorful and properly portioned on the pie. One of the best things about Zachary's pizza is it is delicious reheated as leftovers. This applies to the thin crust as well as the tradition Chicago deep dish. The worse thing I can say is that the product is a little pricey. But what isn't these days? Food was very delicious! They have only been open for 2 weeks and we enjoy the Pleasanton store so we tried out the Livermore location. The staff is very nice but you can tell they're still working out the kinks in getting set up which is understandable. 2 Pizzas ordered took about 1 hour or longer to get them. The staff was so busy we ordered drinks once cause it took awhile for them to bring them out wasn't a big deal but they should work on their service of course. All in all great food, but will wait awhile before going back. Saw multiple people waiting for the food, once they get it under wraps I'm sure it will be a great go to pizza spot. read more

I rarely give reviews but the service I received tonight at Zachary's in Livermore was exceptional. Tonight ordered a pizza to go via online from Zachary's, but unfortunately, it was the wrong one. I had ordered a pepperoni and black olive pizza, but when I got home, I discovered that it was a plain cheese pizza with what seemed to be a gluten-free crust. I tried to contact Zachary's to inform them about the mistake, but their phone line was not accepting calls. I understand that they are a new establishment and that mistakes may occur, but it is frustrating that they are not able to be reached via phone. If they are going to not accept calls, then they should ensure that their to-go orders are accurate. I feel particularly sorry for the person who received our pepperoni pizza with the regular crust, as they might be a vegetarian and/or be gluten sensitive. Also had a salad and it was fresh and yummy. The pizza itself was yummy, if you like plain cheese and a gluten-free crust. We will definitely be going back, just a bad night to order take out. read more
