The owner, Peter, is an absolutely wonderful host! We came for a midnight snack and he was so gracious and welcoming. He was thrilled when he learned we were locals. This spot very closely resembles Five Guys. I constructed my own burger, fries were served in a greasy brown bag. The main differentiator I would say is the 75 different flavor milkshakes that they offer, although I didn't order one on this visit. I ordered a Double Bacon Burger ($12) with lettuce, tomato, and fried onions (which were just cooked onions). For sure a great go to for those late night trips and it's very filling. Their Z Style Fries for regular size ($6.50) serves two people. So if you're eating by yourself, I recommend getting the size smaller, which I don't recall what they called it. The owner of this restaurant (4321 Wisconsin Ave NW) should consider changing most of the crew working there. Food is fine but service is zero. Ol man who seems to be the manager has poor customer relations . We live there in the area and witnessed several time where he had bad encounters with other customers or with people who seem to be delivery drivers. One time (this year)we saw a big argument which lead to almost this manager putting his hands on a driver for doordash or uber (not sure). if this happens to any of my family he will be maced or worse. In addition a civil law suit will be filed to teach him and the owner a lesson. The workers are rude and jump in the arguments. Not to mention their poor English skills that often lead to us cancelling orders or not even eating there. One of the girls working htere was cursing in spanish 9we know spanish). Been here multiple times and have always had a good experience! The food is good and love all of the multiple options. Usually I get overwhelmed by so many choices but at a place like this and with the great service that you get, it makes it a lot easier. I've had the burgers, chicken burgers, cheesesteaks, hot dogs, fries, onion rings, LMAO almost a little of everything haha. I still haven't been able to try the shakes though. It reminds me of Cookout (if you're from the south). Of course be aware you're not coming here for something (necessarily) HEALTHY but you're coming here for something GOOD. A little pricey, but aren't burger places elsewhere. Z-Burger is my treat going to the city. The burgers are great - comparable only to Five Guys. They pretty much will make the burger to order, meaning for me, messy with a variety of toppings. The shakes are extra special with more combination choices than we have toes and fingers. I visited April 24th at 11:28 and after standing without being greeted for over 4 minutes, I was told they were out of food. No fries, no burgers "no materials". I had not been to ZBurger in several months but went last night for a cheesesteak and fries. It was apparent that the staff, management or ownership had turned over since the establishment's grand opening last year. The facility has not been well maintained - it is dark and unclean. The food was not only disappointing but, the next day myself and my friend who ate there experienced severe gastrointestinal issues including stomach pain and diarrhea. Furthermore, the meal wasn't even worth the $35 or the pain and suffering it caused us. The french fries were completely unseasoned - it was essentially a paper bag full of grease. We had to throw away the entire bag. The cheesesteaks were at least edible but also, unseasoned and dry. To say that I'm disappointed is an understatement. I won't even speak of the "milk shakes" - they are simply syrup flavored iced drinks. So long ZBurger! read more

Once you decide on the type of burger - number of patties, bacon etc., you can choose to add optional toppings at no additional charge. If you don't want a burger, they have other choices (e.g. cheesesteaks and hot dogs) as well as fries and onion rings for sides and malts and shakes. The fries have an option of "Z style" or seasoned and they give you plenty! No need to order the large size unless you are with a group to share. I normally like seasoned fries, but I opt for the Z style and it makes the fries tasty enough without the extra seasoning. Extremely disappointed with the customer service, especially from the manager. I placed an order on Uber Eats and my order was given to someone else. My Uber eats driver was super helpful and tried to tell them they need to remake my order. When she wasn't getting anywhere she called me to explain what was happening and had me talk to the store manager. He was very rude, completely unhelpful, and absolutely refused to have a new order made so my driver could bring it to me. It is his store's responsibility to make sure customers pick up the right order ahead items. He just told me "go to Uber eats and they'll refund you" - didn't want a refund, just wanted my meal and I can't believe he refused to remake it.
