Put out an APB on Yelp one evening for anyone who could fix a washer for my in-laws, and within minutes Yz responded and said a tech could come out later the next morning to check it out. Guy came out the next day, assessed the issue, and gave an estimate. But my in-laws declined, initially. They were gonna go and get a new washer, instead. I called Yz Pro on Tuesday morning (1/7/2025) to schedule a refrigerator repair - and spoke to a receptionist who was perfectly nice - and I was told they would have a technician meet with me the next day (Wednesday) between 12 noon and 2pm. This was great - having a broken refrigerator sucked - and getting to see a technician the next day was a godsend. Wednesday (1/8/2025) rolled around and I decided to call Yz Pro just to confirm the appointment - I called at 12:15pm - just to make sure - I spoke to a different receptionist and was told the appointment was NOW from 12 noon to 4pm. WAIT A SECOND - a 12 noon to 2pm appointment was what we had agreed on - but okay - I'd try to make that work - even though it would mean losing an entire afternoon of work (and pay!!!!). So I called my building manager to tell him that the time was being extended by Yz Pro until 4pm. My building manager informed me that all repair folks had to be out of the building by 4pm per building rules. So I called Yz Pro back to try and get them to prioritize the appointment and arrive soon enough so they could finish by the 4pm deadline. The new receptionist said she would check the recording of the call the previous day - and also check with the technician to see if they could get to me in time. Yz Pro's receptionist called back - CONFIRMED that the appointment was made from 12 noon to 2pm - told me the technician could NOT get to me by 3pm - so they would not be able to service my refrigerator today. So I'm out an entire 1/2 a workday - still with a busted refrigerator - and now I'm trying to schedule a NEW appointment with a different repair company. I can understand the delay - I can understand schedules get jumbled - BUT the fact that they Yz Pro KNEW they schedule the appointment from 12 noon to 2pm - then CHANGED IT - extending the appointment from 12 noon to 4pm - and didn't bother to call me - didn't bother to see if this was workable - just figured I'd sit there and wait for them until - well - whenever they got there...that's really unprofessional. C'mon. If you change the time - tell the customer. If you can't make the time that YOUR COMPANY set - try to bend over backwards to accommodate a time that would work for me. I will say - the receptionist was courteous and professional - and I was impressed that she would acknowledge that the appointment WAS indeed for 12 noon to 2pm. But that does not get me 1/2 a workday back or fix my refrigerator. read more

My 3-year-old Kitchenaid dishwasher started making a loud buzzing sound and collecting water in the bottom. YZ came out the day after I contacted them and found a broken circulation pump. Eugene did an amazing job on not only diagnosing the problem, but also fixing the problem quickly with my stacked front load Whirlpool washer/dryer Being in a studio in Kakaako, the washer/dryer is located in a closet and is a tight fit to get to and fix. Eugene was able to move the appliance single handedly and quickly found that the problem, which I believe was the washer's pressure gauge. After taking the washer apart and fixing it, Eugene put the washer back together again without a problem. Taking a little more than an hour to do all of that, my washer which broke this morning is now fixed and I contacted Eugene only a couple hours ago. Reliable. Efficient. And knowledgeable. Great service all around! I would highly recommend them. I put in a request through Yelp because my dryer was squeaking. I got an immediate response to schedule an appointment the next day between 9 and 11. They charge an assessment fee that goes towards the repair. Then I received a call from Sergii around 8:30 the next day confirming that he was on his way. Sergii assessed the issue and told me the price. Once I agreed, he started the repair right away. The dryer is stacked, and he had to do a lot of maneuvering; it looked like a tough job for one person. But he got it done! He finished in about an hour. He was very professional and polite. Honest people here at YZ. I had a technician come to check out my sub zero freezer as the temperature was fluctuating. Technician diagnosed as broken compressor and then subsequently let me know because my unit is so old the parts weren't available. I got a second opinion with another company and they were able to replace my fan and electrical wiring and voila it was fixed. I wrote back to Eugene at YZ explaining that I was charged for a misdiagnosis then also was told the parts don't exist (I confirmed with other company that compressor is in fact available). Eugene agreed with me that I should not be charged for a misdiagnosis and refunded me my money. Quality of back office communication was very poor and frustrating. The Technician appears to be good and efficient but getting estimates and answers to simple questions takes too long. Back office seems more concerned about charging a diagnostic fee than expediting repairs. I don't think they are flat out a scam but feels the operation is designed to extract diagnostic fees and not necessarily fix anything in a timely manner. read more
