I had VinTech come out to repair my GE Cafe electric range-oven needed repair. They were wonderful, thank you Jun for coming out on an urgent basis on Sunday. Initially (Wednesday) I was waiting to get an appointment time arranged. In the mean time another company offered a same day visit. I notified VinTech and they were very professional and offered assistance in the future if needed. The other company's technician was not effective in fixing my oven and actually caused additional damage. I had been dealing with a leak in my ref for a while and finally decided to get it fixed. I headed to Yelp and looked through the various companies. I noticed that one company, VINTECH had a solid 5 rating and decided to give them a try. I sent in my inquiry on President's day not expecting to get a reply till the following day. To my surprise Vince responded and setup an appointment for the following day. Vince sent me a text message when he was on the way and arrived shortly thereafter. Vince took a look at my ref and quickly diagnosed the issue. He also noticed another problem which I also had him take care of. Vince came back the following day to complete the repair. Vince did see that there was a leak coming from the water shutoff valve. He gave me a reference to a plumber he uses. Just had the compressor in my refrigerator replaced today. Vince (owner) came by first, did an assessment of the situation and concluded that it was indeed the compressor that needed to be replaced. After letting me know what my options were (no pressure selling), he then gave me a quote for the job. After I agreed to have the compressor replaced as opposed to purchasing a new refrigerator (my fridge is 12 years old), he called Jun to come out to replace it. Vince and Jun were both very nice, professional and arrived within the promised time. After Jun had finished the job he explained what he had done, gave me suggestions to optimize the performance of my refrigerator and what I should look for to insure that the fridge and freezer were working properly after he left. I called Vin to get a quote for our freezer which was gathering ice and dripping into our fridge. I left a voicemail and he called me back very quickly afterwards. After describing the problem, he knew what it was right away, a clogged drain in the freezer. He said he could squeeze me in right after lunch which I appreciated He came over and got right to work, resolving the clogged drain and also giving notes and advice about our refrigerator. Big thunderstorm ripping through the islands AND your fridge decides to die? No problem! Big mahalo to Vincent and Junny at VinTech for coming in clutch through wind and rain to rescue my 10 year old LG fridge in the middle of a raging storm! There's never a good time for a fridge to die on you but during a nasty 100 year flood type thunderstorm event is definitely not one of them. On Thursday, 3/12, I noticed the ice maker wasn't making ice and the freezer temp was not as cold as it should be, I immediately called my usual LG specialist (they are a rare breed and hard to find for some reason) but despite several calls and voicemails/texts, I never heard back. Reluctantly I took to Yelp to see what viable options I had left to choose from and I took a shot in the dark with VinTech, who, by the way was one of the first to respond to the Yelp request and boy am I glad I chose to go with them! I immediately established contact with Vincent to see how soon he could come out and he was able to come out on Friday(ominously, Friday the 13th, of all days). If anyone lived through this weather event like I did, you will know that Friday the 13th was the meat and potatoes and nastiest day of the storm and I was expecting him to cancel or reschedule but despite the crazy conditions, Vince showed up in the wind and rain as promised! Very promising... He then got straight to work to inspect and diagnose the issue and determined quickly it was a compressor issue and provided a clear and straightforward quote for the required repair. At this point I figured it would then have to be at least a couple days before it could be fixed since a) he would need to get the part and b) he would need to reschedule another later date to do the actual repair, but NOPE. He informed me that he would be able to get the part AND have his tech/partner Junny install and do the repair THAT DAY so we could have our fridge operational ASAP, all while the entire island is flooding with power outages and all hell is breaking loose! Ummm..., what...?? Amazing! Once Junny was able to get the part and arrive at the house, work was done promptly and smoothly. Junny worked meticulously and did extremely clean work and his 20+ years of experience really shows. After everything was buttoned up, all that was left to do was to keep the fridge closed as much as possible to let it cool to do its thing. Upon checking on it several hours later before bed, the fridge was already starting to get cold and the freezer was operating normally. I cannot thank Vincent and Junny enough for their prompt response, excellent service and going that extra mile to come out to do the job, literally through wind and rain, during one of the nastiest storms we've seen in the islands. If you've got an LG appliance and cannot find anyone who will touch them, VinTech is the one to call. They also do general appliance repairs and work on other brands as well but knowing there are only a handful of qualified LG techs on island, VinTech will definitely be my go-to company and be on my speed dial list. read more
