Booking was very easy and there is variable pricing depending on when you take the bus. This was a very affordable commute getting from Whistler to YVR airport. The one issue was boarding - I only saw one bus on the schedule and thought it would be the only bus leaving Whistler - there were two buses and we boarded the wrong one. Fortunately we arrived early and the driver made an announcement to take a different bus to the airport. I was surprised he did not say anything when he scanned our tickets. It would have been a perfect experience if we didn't have to disembark and remove our bags for a different bus. There are a couple of additional stops along the way and the bus was not crowded getting to the airport. The bus ride was smooth and clean. As for recommendations getting from the airport to Whistler - I would recommend it only if you know the drop off location and how far you have to carry your bags to your hotel and you don't mind the extra stops from the airport to Whistler. A two hour Uber with an almost exact drop-off versus a potentially three hour bus ride - it gave us time to check-in, find a restaurant for dinner and enjoy the Fire and Ice show at the mountain on Sunday (which was not a planned). read more

Worst experience ever. I trusted Skylynx twice, and both times my bus was delayed. The second time, departing from Vancouver, I received a delay notification after the scheduled departure time (8:00 a.m.), while other passengers received the email earlier. That kind of inconsistent communication is unacceptable. Customer service was unreliable, and there was no proper follow-up or accountability. When delays happen 2 out of 2 times, it's clear this company is not trustworthy. We found the seats comfortable and they offer the ability to recline. There are multiple daily routes that offer gorgeous views along the Sea to Sky Highway (and have a minimum of stops). Most passengers will find the ride to be a smooth one, but those who suffer from motion sickness should be able to endure the limited twisty sections with a little help from a motion sickness supplement. Your first two luggage items are complimentary and you can transport your bike, skis, snowboard, golf clubs, and/or additional luggage for an additional fee (and overhead storage is available for your carry-on items). First bus was 40 minutes late departing YVR, was told by the counter the bus was boarding in 10 mins, stood outside freezing for 30mins waiting. Bags were loaded then we boarded and tickets scanned, some guy was on the wrong bus so we had to wait to get his bag out. Driver was a little fast trying to make up time and made me anxious zooming about. Return bus was 30 mins late leaving Whistler. There was no order for scanning tickets and the driver had the wrong pickup location on his device and kept telling people we were in the wrong place. My backpack went under the bus and got completely soaked with brown liquid during the journey to YVR. We arrived 45 mins late. read more

Nearly missed my flight because Skylynx bus never showed up and Skylynx refused a refund. I was booked on the 12:00pm Skylynx from the Squamish Adventure Centre. I arrived early and waited at the stop from about 11:45am until after 1:00pm. When the bus didn't arrive, I called Skylynx and was told it that it had left early and I was not on the passenger list. When I pressed them that I had booked days ago, they finally corrected themselves and said that actually, the bus was just late and would pick me up soon, and that I was in fact on their list. After waiting for over an hour, and trying to call them with no answer, I eventually got hold of a rep just before 1pm who again told me the bus had already come and gone despite the fact that neither I nor my girlfriend saw any Skylynx bus arrive or stop. I was then told I'd been rebooked on the next bus, which I couldn't take without missing my flight. So I asked for a refund and they said to email them. Which I did and was refused a refund. My girlfriend had to take the rest of the day off work to rush me to the airport. Skylynx later claimed GPS showed the bus was "in Squamish" for a few minutes and continued to refuse accountability. No acknowledgement of any of their errors, and they summarised with "we cant refund your ticket it wasn't our fault." For $57... "premium" service, I would've expected at least for them to refund me. But I never even got an apology. AMEX is thankfully helping me with the case. I've used Skylynx many times before, but this complete lack of accountability especially when airport travel is involved is unacceptable. If you need reliable transport to catch a flight, I wouldn't take Skylynx. I never will again. read more

Took the Skylynx express from YVR to Whistler Creekside and it was such an efficient way to get around. The price for such a long drive is very reasonable and the chartered bus itself is quite comfortable. The bus also comes with a restroom which is great for the long drive. Unless you genuinely enjoy driving, paying for gas or maybe are traveling with lots of luggage/pets/children this is such a great value for your money. "I am the eye in the sky Looking at you I can read your mind" (Alan Parsons Project) We had three transportation options to get from the Vancouver Airport up to Whistler. We chose the Skylynx shuttle. We made our reservations through the whistler.com website, selected our departure time, and selected the Whistler Hilton as our drop-off spot. As instructed we checked in at their information desk on the international arrivals level and confirmed our reservations with the desk agent, he told us where and when to go to meet our bus. He didn't take our bags and we had to carry them around with us until we boarded the bus a few hours later. We met our bus that was promptly on schedule, and saw we'd be riding on a huge, modern and luxurious bus. That was nice, but what wasn't nice was every bus rider was expected to load their luggage into the belly of the bus through the open storage compartment doors. That was weird. The bus was excellent, and the long ride up to Whistler gave us some beautiful scenery of the mountains and water views on our left. We were a bit surprised that our driver said he doesn't stop at individual hotels, despite what our reservations said. He said "bring that up with Whistler.com, they should fix their website". So instead of dropping us at our hotel, we disembarked at the Whistler Transportation Loop, grabbed a taxi from the waiting line of cabs and took a very short ride to our hotel. I'm rating this four stars because the bus was very luxurious (with a real nice bathroom in the back) and big windows to take in all of the breathtaking scenery of British Columbia's Coast Mountains. I can't fault Skylynx for the drop-off snafu, but since I got the impression this was a known problem to them, I wonder if they ever reached out to Whistler.com about fixing their website, instead of reciting the "it's not our problem" defense. read more

Extremely Disappointing Experience with YVR Skyline My son and I were picked up from Whistler at 5p.m. for what should have been a two‑hour trip to Vancouver Airport. Because a barge had struck a bridge just after midnight, the main route was badly congested. Despite this well‑known disruption, YVR Skyline never suggested an earlier departure, and our driver refused to use Waze or Google Maps for an alternate route. The trip ended up taking over four hours. When we finally reached the airport and were rushing to catch our flight, the driver became unreasonably aggressive after I opened a third luggage compartment to get our bags. His behaviour escalated to shouting and even making threats toward both me and my 19‑year‑old son -- completely unprofessional and unacceptable. We made our flight, but the experience was appalling from start to finish. A company dealing with travellers should show basic awareness and courtesy -- qualities that were entirely missing here. I will not be using YVR Skyline again and would advise others to look elsewhere. read more

I took the bus to Vancouver leaving Whistler on Sep 14th at 11:00 and had a bad experience with this trip's driver. I approached him and asked "Are you the bus the goes to Vancouver at 11:00 am?". When he replied "No, I AM THE DRIVER, this is the bus (pointing down)." This "joke" left me pretty incomfortable. Later the same day, another guest asked "Is this Vancouver", then the same driver replied, "No, this is Whistler, I am going to Vancouver." For me, these types of "jokes" are unnecessary, leaving only the guests uncomfortable. Skylynx should not permit this type of behaviour. read more

Horrible!!! Horrible!!! I didn't take their bus because they do not allow registered service animal certifications from other countries. They state you have to have a BC register service dog certification??!? LOL Who is going to go to Canada and spend money to get another certification just to visit BC for 4 days???? So ridiculous. I travel frequently and this is the most ridiculous company I have ever dealt with. They said no then said that they were going to do me a favor and take me one way but would have to find my way back to the airport after 4 days. I was trying to attend a wedding in Squamish it is $500 to rent a car, Squamish Connector has no issue with service animals from other countries but doesn't go to the airport, and Uber doesn't go in and out of Squamish. They literally were playing game and didn't appreciate it. I would recommend anyone but Skylynx. They are definitely not about customer service that is for sure. I chose to fly into YVR Airport for a 3 day snowboarding Whistler trip with a couple buddies of mine. If you are looking for a cost effective and efficient bus service to Whistler, look no further! I went with the flexible RT ticket, which was $75 ($37.50 each way) compared to the non refundable ticket of $70.00 ($35 each way). For such a minimal difference, I didn't want to take my chances. For these prices, it's almost a no brainer to take this bus. Also, since these prices are in CAD, with the US conversion rates, it made it even cheaper! (~ $50 USD). I ain't complaining! 2 pieces of luggage were included; which was ample for us as 1 piece was our boards and the other, a small hand carry. Anyways, once we arrived, we walked out to Bay 9 (take a left) and were greeted by Mo. He was super friendly, professional and an exceptional driver! The whole overall ride was smooth and comfortable. The bus was exceptionally clean and seats were comfy. It took roughly about 2.5 hours to get to the Whistler Village. I would recommend YVR Skylynx to anyone looking for a efficient and cost effective solution to Whistler! I had such a great experience that I will only take them when I go to Whistler again! This is by far the worst shuttle service I have ever used coming up to Whistler. The bus is uncomfortable, it took over 3 hours to arrive to the destination, and the customer service was terrible. At the airport, our flight was late, so several (over 10) passengers waited at their help desk to get re-booked. There was a sign that said the employees would be back in 15 minutes. 30 minutes later, we were still waiting. Upon their arrival back, they insisted there were no seats on the earlier shuttle up to Whistler and we would need to be booked on one that left in several hours. However, the next groups of people after us were booked on the earlier shuttle. When we asked why they were booked earlier when they were behind us, one avoided eye contact, and the other just stared at us and shrugged his shoulders. The bus was old and very slow and there was no wifi despite this company advertising that they did have wifi on board. For the return shuttle, a friend tried to rebook her ticket and the manager, Nick, was incredibly rude and condescending on the phone call (he was on speakerphone, so I heard). The customer service is horrible, which is surprising to me because usually Canadian companies are incredibly kind and accommodating. I will never use this company again. While it's less expensive, you get what you pay for. Spend a little extra and take a shuttle with another company. While more expensive, you get there in less than half the time, they drop you at your hotel's front door, the shuttles are much more comfortable, and the customer service is much better. Trip was OK, but service was crap. Had to load and unload own suitcases while younger driver just stood around. Hit my head while crawling around cargo area. Then given a lecture about not carrying cash for gratuities because I refused to pay $20 extra to be dropped off at Whistler resort that has free shuttle service. And also told I won't get a cab for hours, but there were 4 in the rank on arrival. Well, Michael, I did have cash and not going to tip an asshole! Our suitcase was stolen at a stop in Vancouver between the airport and whistler. The bus driver told us it had happened before at that location. A bystander witnessed it and reported it to those of us on the bus. They don't lock the luggage compartment under the bus. This was a huge expense, stress, and loss of a vacay day as we needed to shop and pay resort prices for replacement. The bus company told us it was our responsibility to keep the luggage safe even though they don't disclose the luggage compartment stays unlocked and accessible to those walking by. The bus company took no responsibility and told me to claim it with my homeowners insurance as their insurance doesn't cover stolen items other reviews talk about how their luggage never made it to the destination and blame was displaced to hotels, etc. Most likely it was the thieves that are repeat offenders. Yet still the terrible bus company has no scruples and takes no ownership over something that was their fault. They did say they sent me a check for $250 several weeks ago... never made it to me.
