Food was hot fresh and being all you can eat very filling. My wife i had a goto all you can eat sushi restaurant in Las Vegas when we would go there on trips well this one here in Charlotte is just as good if not a little better and the Price Is Right on point. Inside you'll find a clean nicely decorated restaurant have no complaints. Our service was from a young lady that was very personable on point getting us everything that we needed explain the menu. Now about the menu it is large very large menu

The restaurant has nice ambiance and a spacious seating area. The servers were attentive and communicative. They were constantly checking in. The food was very good. It tasted fresh and exceeded my expectations for quality, especially being an AYCE place. I really enjoyed the salmon yuzu appetizer. The sauce is amazing! I wanted to dip all of my other sushi in it. The serving sizes for the rolls are generous and felt proportionate--not like they padded it with a ton of rice. I will definitely be going back!

Dynamite roll and the mango and with park and...aw heck they were all just great.

Every time we go, just gets better. Y'all are sleeping on this place. Nice staff, great rolls, not too busy even on a Saturday night... Just excellent

Inside during Monday lunchtime

Had a really good experience at this AYCE place on South Boulevard! As Mr. Tokyo's regulars, we were curious how Yummy Sushi would compare. And we weren't disappointed - this may just become our new go-to spot! Coming in for lunch on a Monday, there was plenty of space, and we felt very comfortable being there with our baby. We were immediately seated at a comfortable booth, and service was attentive and friendly. The inside is nicely decorated - casual with care. $15 per person for lunch is a great deal for the variety of food options and quality! We had crab rangoon, seaweed salad, a couple nigiri, as well as some rolls. All tasted fresh and came out pretty quickly. We actually were accidentally served an extra roll that we didn't order, and our server assured us that we didn't have to eat it/get charged. Good thing too because we were stuffed! The hardest part here is pacing yourself because you want to try a bit of everything. Awesome AYCE option for a group, especially considering that $15 would only get you 1-2 rolls at other sushi spots! See you again soon, Yummy Sushi!

If you're looking for an affordable all-you-can-eat (AYCE) sushi spot for lunch, Yummy Sushi is a solid choice. At just $14.99, it's hard to beat the value. While the variety and selection aren't as extensive as some other AYCE places, the price more than makes up for it. I really enjoyed the soups. The clear soup includes mushrooms, green onion, and fried onion, and the miso soup has tofu and seaweed--both were flavorful and not overly salty. We tried several rolls: the Spicy Crab Crunch Roll, Eel Cucumber Roll, Eel Avocado Roll, Volcano Roll, Dynamite Roll, and Dragon Roll. The fried rolls, Spicy Crab Crunch Roll and the Dragon Roll were my favorites. The Eel Cucumber and Eel Avocado rolls were just okay.

I ordered takeout from here through a food delivery app. The sushi took about an hour to get here and was room temperature. That is mostly due to the delivery platform making the driver take multiple stops. However, temperature aside I just felt like the sushi lacked flavor overall. I had to use a lot of wasabi and soy to make it taste like anything. Even the seaweed wrap didn't taste like much. I would try this place again and not order delivery next time and dine in to see if that changes it.

We went for my daughter's birthday on a Saturday night and it was a packed house. Surprisingly we got seated immediately for a party of 5. The servers were on point, the food was good. I placed an order to go and when I brought it home the Hibachi Steak & Shrimp was a good portion that was full of flavors. We've been to Sushi Hana and never to Mr. Tokyo. Our comparison is that the ambience is nicer and more spacious at Sushi Hana but the sushi was better here. Check them out if you are craving good sushi!!! I can't remember the names of the sushi we ordered these are just a couple of the images we got. Again, everything was good, you won't be disappointed!!!

If you've ever been to "Mr. Tokyo" this is exactly the same thing. All You Can eat sushi and hibachi. Everyone was super efficient and friendly. They do close from 3-4pm. Sushi tasted extremely fresh and the hibachi meals were super tasty. Came on a Sunday afternoon around 2pm and had plenty of time to eat in an hour. Our waitor kept letting us know the time and how much time we had until the kitchen was closed so it made us not be rushed or disappointed when we wanted to order more. Such a delicious early dinner and will definitely return. Located in a shopping center with plenty of parking.

Our family usually goes to another all-you-can-eat sushi buffet, but we decided to give this a try and it did not disappoint. There is a lot more variety of appetizers and entree plates then at the other sushi buffet. Our family also ordered 2 orders of mussels with cheese and they were fresh, and hot to our table. Very delicious. TIP: they are not part of the menu, but if you ask nicely they can be provided. Our food was always made at a fast pace, and brought immediately to our table. All of the sushi was made to order with fresh ingredients. They do close for an hour in between lunch and dinner buffeta, and our server was great at letting us know when the last call for food was. Another all-you-can-eat sushi buffet in my books.

Great sushi restaurant with an amazing all you can eat deal! We went on a Saturday night and did the all you can eat sushi - $23pp - which is a steal for the amount of sushi you can eat. The staff was super nice and they explained how the all you can eat works. It is best to order what you know you can eat and then order more when you finish - they charge for food not eaten! The sushi was delicious and I cannot wait to return!!

Kellie P.

Awesome all you can eat restaurant. It's not just all you can eat sushi. The service was fast and friendly. The food came out fast which was nice because all you can eat takes a while. They are running a summer special for $19/ per person. Enjoy the fun atmosphere with the lightning and fish tank screen.

Did pick up. Don't let the area fool you. This location caters to people who think spicy mayo is too spicy. Staff gets the job done. The establishment looks clean. They didnt seem to be bothered by me, my tattoos, or anything. The food couldve been better. Catering to people who don't appreciate sushi can lead to somewhat lackluster food. Yes they're busy. But overtly fishy nori, rice that tastes of over used sugar for the mirin. An as i said before a spicy mayo that lacked presence. I mean its not bad. Its just not for me.

Tiger Roll

A new AYCE sushi restaurant that recently opened not too long ago. I came in maybe a few weeks after they opened. Menu is limited compared to other places however it is decently priced for an AYCE. I ordered the tiger roll - the tempura shrimp was a bit dry for me but the sushi was okay. The appetizers were good - I enjoyed the yellowtail jalapeño and yuzu salmon. The teriyaki steak was solid.

When we arrived we were initially told the wait would be about an hour, but once we mentioned that we had a reservation we were seated right away. I would recommend making a reservation online because that part of the process was very smooth. We were seated at the hibachi tables closest to the host station. One thing we noticed immediately was that either the chairs were unusually low or the table was unusually high. The table came up almost to my chest, which made the seating feel a little awkward. Unfortunately the meal itself wasn't good. The fried rice had a strange texture that was both mushy and hard at the same time. The chicken looked like it was sitting in a lot of liquid, and several items seemed to burn as soon as they hit the grill. The eggs burned on contact but were still mixed into the rice. The vegetables had no texture and were extremely soft. The salmon burned quickly on the grill and didn't turn out well, and the shrimp ended up charred on one side while still bland on the other. Service timing was also an issue. We waited about 30 minutes after being seated just to receive soup and salad, and another 30 minutes at the end of the meal to get boxes and pay. There was also some confusion when it came time to close out the tab. I didn't say much during the meal, but after leaving and talking with my friends we realized we all had very similar impressions of the experience. To be fair, it did look like other tables were enjoying themselves, so maybe our cook just had an off night. I just wanted to share our experience.

Sad to do this, but I've tried this place several times by now since I last raved about it (5…read morestars)...and it has definitely gone downhill. I say "downhill" for the following reasons. I usually order the Chicken Katsu Don (Spicy) with the Seaweed Salad...and I've noticed that they've cut back on the portion size for the Seaweed (almost half of what I used to get) at the same price of 5 bucks. Outlandish pricing! Even with the Katsu Don, I noticed that they've increased the amount of rice, but reduced the amount of Chicken (?!?). I must also mention that it irks me that they add 1 buck for "Spicy"...which is basically a drizzle of sauce over the chicken. I mean, really?!? They also upcharge for Chicken over the Pork Katsu. Before, I didn't even bother mentioning some of this because it was SO good...but not so much anymore. For my last 2-3 meals here, I was just not satisfied with the quality of Katsu (barely crispy)...plus, despite the upcharge for "Spicy", there just wasn't that much sauce to it. Overall, I felt ripped over this super-casual meal. With all the upcharges, the Chicken Katsu Don Spicy is $17, and the little bit of Seaweed Salad is $5. I usually pay less for this at fancy Japanese restaurants with higher quality Katsu....all served beautifully on a plate with utensils, not plastic cartons and plastic fork. It depresses me to see that Alley 51 doesn't seem to be as big of a hit as I initially thought it'd be. In fact, half of the food vendors were closed on the weekday I was there. Frankly, I think the downfall has to do with the ridiculous pricing of foods (and drinks). Think the vendors are forgetting that this is a fast-food experience...not fine dining. Why are the diners having to pay restaurant pricing? Sorry, but I just don't feel that I'm getting a fair deal here. With the quality and the quantity of the foods having gone down, while the pricing stayed up, it's no longer a 5-star meal for me.

They made the rolls basically as soon as you ordered them, and that made for short wait times which was very nice. Then we realized there may have been some dietary restrictions with the food and they were super attentive with that as well. They took their time to explain what would be good for us to eat and what to look for in the future. They brought out gluten free soy sauce for us and were very helpful and thoughtful when answering questions for us. Along with the service, the food itself was very good. We got thai tea and mango bubble tea, the salmon spring roll with chili sauce, the tuna and avocado roll, the red dragon roll, and the shrimp mango roll. We ended up having to switch the shrimp mango roll because of dietary restrictions but they already started making it and they gave it to us on the house because they did not want it to go to waste. Once we got there we were sat down immediately. Once seated our server, very polite Spanish young woman came to greet us and took our orders. The server even recommended a kids meal for our daugther. So far so good. Our food comes and we realized we have no utensils and my daughter's noodles had no broth in it. It was dry noodles. The server comes back asked us if we needed anything and we said yes can we have some utensils please? A fork and some chopsticks and broth for my daughters noodles. They are dry. She says sure no problem and leaves. Now while we are waiting two Spanish women we seated behind us. In the time we were waiting the two guest behind us placed their orders and got their food. When the server comes back she hands us 3 pairs of chopsticks and garlic. Walks back to the two women and hands one of them a fork. Still no fork or broth my daughter's noodles. My wife had to pour the broth from her ramen into our daughter's bowl so she can eat. The server comes back again with 3 GOT DAMN SPOONS and says she couldn't find any more forks. So in the entire restaurant theirs not ONE FORK. I said but you just gave those customers a fork. Pointing to the guest behind us. She says sorry and walks over to the guest behind us. The server starts talking to the guest in Spanish but little does she know I speak Spanish. The server starts complaining about us to the guest saying that we're asking for too many things and we need to shut up and just eat our food. when I told my wife that they're talking about us, she immediately asked for the manager we explained our situation and the manager immediately comped our meal. Terrible experience. Atleast we didn't have to pay for it.
