Great food, with a great selection of vegetables, and proteins (even venison)! Nice atmosphere, with TVs (unexpected). I thought the combo of rice, and noodles were amazing! AJ/J our server was great. Once we were seated, he came over to take our drink order. While the drinks were getting made, he showed us the process of making your bowl. I felt that was cool of them to ensure we got the most out of our visit. I'll be returning...and soon! Pics next time! read more

Yummy Bowl - All the seafood! - Mongolian Near Me - Springfield, Illinois

While visiting Springfield, IL, I found this spot on TikTok and decided to check it out with my coworkers after work. We all opted for the All-You-Can-Eat Bowl. The process was a little confusing at first, but our waiter was fantastic--she walked us through the buffet line, explained everything clearly, and made sure we knew what to do. You start by selecting your ingredients, seasonings, and sauces, then hand your bowl to one of the cooks before returning to your table. The cooking process is quick, and the waiter brings your food once it's ready. There were plenty of tables and seating, and the food was great--hard to go wrong when you build your own bowl! Overall, I had a great experience and will definitely be back. read more

Was there for lunch yesterday everything was fresh. atmosphere was clean and warming. Staff was helpful and it was a great day.

AMAZING all around. The service is fantastic. Maggie greeted us quickly and warmly. Very friendly and helpful. My brother is a regular here and the staff seem genuinely happy to chat with him. Eric was also wonderful. He came over to talk with us, such a personable guy. I felt very welcome from the start. The menu is very extensive. You can get either a "yummy bowl" or sushi. Mmmmmm sushi. The Yummy Bowl cooking process is very neat. For just $14.99 for a dinner bowl you can build a custom bowl with starch, veggies, fruits, proteins, seasoning and sauce. You hand the bowl to the chef and then go back to your seat. The chef cooks the food on an enormous round grill. Then they bring your food out steaming hot. The perfect meal. It is a happy and pleasant atmosphere. The staff seem to be treated well. They know all the regulars. I wanted sushi so I ordered a yellowtail scallion roll and a sexy lady roll. Mmmmm both were so fresh. The sexy lady had pink soy paper, jalapeño, avocado and yellowtail which was amazing. Overall can't wait to come back here and try a yummy bowl! read more

First time! Staff was friendly and helpful in explaining the ordering process. Food was great! Can't wait to visit again!

Hands down, this is the best noodle restaurant I have visited in Springfield, Illinois. We stopped in for lunch and were pleased to find that they offer kid-sized bowls, even though there are no lunch specials on weekends. The build-your-own bowl option is a great feature, allowing you to customize your meal with exactly what you want. read more

The other day my son and I stopped in and wasn't impressed with the meal with so many people in line and the bowls was overcrowding the end to cook which made our food taste different from times when they can enjoy cooking the meals than a rush! If you see the bowls rush prepare for a meal like I had. My next visit will come in and see clean end I'll dine in if too crowded like what I went thru - I'll come another time. Others places in the area can enjoy your meal as well. Keep it up YB as you deserve the thumbs up for keeping your business flowing... read more

Great place for a meal that's both healthy and tasty! Mongolian BBQ is pretty tough to find and we had just arrived in town after a long drive. We were thrilled to find this place and were not disappointed. read more

Yummy Bowl is my favorite restaurant when I'm in Springfield. You are your own master when it comes to your meal. I choose the ingredients I can't readily get at home. Your sauce is your choice. It's hard to screw up a meal you create. After it's cooked, it is better than what I would've expected. If you're looking for a place with good options where you can create something to fit your diet or needs, Yummy Bowl is the place for you! read more

Was visiting Springfield and had cravings for sushi. Wasn't sure which sushi place to choose from but I'm glad I chose this one! I got 4 different rolls and all of them were delicious. The presentation was beautiful too. Very nice and clean space. Waitress asked if it was our first time (which it was) so she made sure to let us know about their options in terms of ordering sushi or doing the buffet. read more

Yummy Bowl is a different experience then other restaurants in town. You can select your own meats, veggies and sauces to build your own bowl. The cooks finish it off for you and the server delivers it to you. The food was all fresh and the buffet area was clean and well stocked with lots of options. The sushi menu is pretty large and the roll w got was delicious. Will definitely be back again! Springfield has needed this since Caras closed. read more

Really cool spot. Lots of space inside for people to eat. Also cool to see the guys cooking the stir fry's on their circular flat top. Inodu (whose name I am probably misspelling, apologies) was our waiter and very nice. Jeff also helped us when going through to make our bowls. We got a rainbow roll, salmon & avocado roll, and our 2 bowls. Total was around $50 including tax. Pretty amazing pricing. Not to mention the food was superb. Easily 5/5 read more

Had 0 problems with the food it was great rolls and was great hibachi was great. But the server bro was everywhere and not in a good way...

I left my takeout box on the table and realized in the parking lot. When I went back in for it, the table was already squeaky clean. I cried, but service was great and the food was fire. read more

Been twice now. First visit was great. Don't often find lamb available. Very good, maybe it was a fluke. Second time- EVEN BETTER. I don't understand why, but food is so tastey compared to similar setups. Wonderful variety of Mongolian grill type selections to choose from, an array of sauces for the most exotic flavor pickers. Absolutely delicious- and then there is the price- very similar to most large fast food orders. Can't be beat. read more

Absolutely infatuated with this establishment! Gianina and Jeff were delightful and hospitable the entire duration. Ordered the sushi, dynamite tuna, and a few lo meins. The sushi was great, and the lo meins were divine. 9.8/10 (subtracted .2 because it was just a little chilly). read more

I've been seeing this place every time I went by Walmart and decided to try it today. I was confused at first but our waitress really helped by explaining how it all worked. Basically it's a hibachi place where you pick out your own / make your own plate from scratch then hand it to them to make for you. Trust me, it was an amazing experience! The restaurant was cool temped and had a pleasant atmosphere without any foul odor. I was often distracted by flies but it was inevitable as the entrance door was often opened every now and then. The price of the meal was so affordable and the taste of the meal was top notch. In my opinion, yummy bowl is super underrated. I reckon you give it a trial as it's worth your time and money for sure! read more

Writing this review to create awareness. We dined here yesterday and immediately I developed very bad food poisoning. On my recollection it was busy and to serve many people food was possibly not cooked through properly. Meats and unwashed veggies were risk for infection. No question of ambience it was chaotic and unclean. Will never return! read more

The food is good and you get to pick exactly what you want down to the sauce they cook it in. The place was packed because it's so good. The server was prompt and we had no issues. This place could be a good date spot or a family place, it really just depends on how you want to play it. Pro tip: One the top of the piece of paper they give you which instructs the cooks to give you either white or fried rice, put "rice on the side" there. That way you can eat your rice separate and it won't get flooded with the juices. Pile as much as you can into the top of the bowl, if it hits the tray, they toss it. If you go back for a second bowl, that's a second meal. So, pack as much as you can into that bowl before it's cooked. read more

I've been to many of these build-your-own-bowl restaurants in different cities. This one is atypical in some ways. They have a smaller selection of fruits and vegetables and a larger selection of meats. Also, instead of using a small separate bowl for meat or an indicator of which meat you'd like the chef to add, they let people pile as much meat as they want in the large bowl. I suppose that's good for people who want to consume large quantities of meat, but it drives the price up for others. I'd prefer that it were a few dollars less expensive, with a normal-sized meat portion. Also, it would be nice if they had hotness ratings for the sauces. read more

This place was great! The restaurant itself is hot so just be aware of that when you're going in. We got seated pretty quickly and our server was attentive and fast. You get handed the bowl and go up and fill it yourself which is nice because you can pick whatever you want to go in it. They cooked it and gave it to us nice and hot. The bowls were very delicious and the crab rangoon is also very good. Super filling! read more

Fantastic the vegetables were all fresh. The service was exceptional. The atmosphere is OK but the entire experience was delightful.

Yummy Bowl is exactly what's in the name... Y U M M Y! My grandma and I are obsessed with this place! Every time we're hungry, we think, let's go to Yummy Bowl! It is so affordable, the service is always so quick and friendly and the food gets made quick! The lines do get long a little after they open, but if you get there right away, especially during the week, it's not bad at all! I'd stand in that line for a long time, because the food is that good!!! I don't fully care for an entire hibachi experience and the price that it comes at, so I have a deep appreciation for this kind of place, as I can get the food that I so desperately crave, that tastes the same but without the huge extra price point! Their food is extremely affordable, delicious and just amazing! The seating is very comfortable and so is the atmosphere. I always feel at home and just cozy and full! It is the best feeling. I'd come here every day for every meal if I could! read more
