My creation after eating all I could!

So many choices it is hard to go wrong at this place! Today we went for the bowl experience. I prefer more veggies than meat which is the exact opposite of the rest of the family. The hardest part is picking the spices and sauces. Remembering what a friend told me, I mixed several together. It came out hot and delicious! We all had a to go box for dinner! For $15.99 you can create your own lunch masterpiece.

Chef Joseph here. Ate lunch and had sushi today with soup. Miso soup was luke warm, but the sushi was wonderful. Had the fantasic roll and the deep fried roll, both were wonderful. No Mongolian today, they still havn't learned how to fix it. Thank you

Food tasted great! Service and the walk through the process of making the bowl all felt rushed! We told our server we hadn't been here before. You have to put both your sauces and seasonings in little cups instead of on the noodles. The fried ice cream was incredible!

Step inside and you're met with the warm glow the unmistakable aroma of simmering broth that has clearly been tended with devotion and patience. The atmosphere isn't themed it's authentically Japanese, like someone bottled a slice of Osaka and poured it gently into southern Indiana. But the main event? The ramen. Bowls arrive steaming, crowned with tender, golden yolked eggs, fresh pork, and noodles that strike the perfect balance between chew and silk. The broth--whether you journey through rich tonkotsu, savory shoyu, or the bold miso--is layered, soulful, and undeniably crafted by someone who respects the art of ramen. Every spoonful is a reminder that real ramen is not "fast food" like cup noodles--this is comfort, tradition, and technique in liquid form. Ordered too much food and ate it ALL because it was all perfect The Gyoza were out first - perfectly steamed then lightly grilled. Then the main event - my Tonkotsu Ramen with extra pork. The key to good ramen is a balance of flavors in the broth and the noodle texture. Nailed both - and not too salty. I picked it up and drank the last leftover bits. The curry rice was my "dessert". Perfect again! Service was pleasant and prompt. Can't wait to come back.

I decided to try Baan Thai Bistro after reading a few reviews, and it turned out to be a great decision. I called in an order for carry out. When I saw the quaint interior I wished that I had time to dine in. The building is beautiful, inside and out. The unique decor was practically beckoning me to sit down and enjoy a relaxing meal. I ordered spring rolls and drunken noodles with tofu. The spring rolls were light and crispy. I would recommend ordering a few. Or more than a few. My drunken noodles were excellent. I ordered mild-to medium spice, and the spice level was perfect. The serving size was generous. Will have leftovers for dinner, yay! Service was very pleasant. Ordering was efficient. I called in my order and received a text when my order was ready. I'll definitely return, and would enjoy dining in next time. Thanks to Yelpers for the great reviews that brought me here.

They have a great lunch special that's reasonably priced, and my mom is more on the picky side, if she likes something she sticks with it. The ambiance here is relaxed, it's a small house turned into a restaurant. Service was good at this visit. My mom ordered her usual pork belly ramen with no spice (she is spice naive) and I tried something new here...drunken noodles with steak at level 3 heat (it goes 1-5 with 5 being the hottest). The lunch special comes with soup and a spring roll. This time I made sure to check my soup, and thankfully it was all clear and tasted good. The soup is too spicy for my mom so she doesn't eat it. The spring roll with dipping sauce was appetizing. Our food came quickly after, and everything came out fresh. My mom didn't have any issues with her ramen. For a lunch special, the drunken noodles is a decent portion. The temperature was hot and the spice level was pretty spicy, but I liked it. The steak option went really well with the drunken noodles too, very flavorful. I wasn't able to finish it, asked for a to go container, and our server supplied. We both enjoyed hanging out and got very full.

Even though they were busy the wait was not very long and the host was so nice and I wish I could remember his name. Our server was so nice and kind and made great recommendations. I had the mocktail Nohito and it was sooo cute and delicious! The others had cocktails and a bottle of coke (yes glass bottle)- cute right?! Now we had the Karange tofu and I need that recipe! The crispiest most flavorful tofu outside and nice and soft inside. Couldn't tell it wasn't chicken! We also had oysters. For dinner I had the Katsu Curry and it was on point! And the leftovers were just as delicious. My sister had the Tantanmen and it was sooo good!! I could drink that broth. They do give you options for rice instead of noodles and broth if you like options. We also shared the Glazed tofu and yall it will change your LIFE!!! Cute monkeys hanging out everywhere with beautiful string lights and a classy understated tiki vibe. Please go here if you haven't yet. You'll thank me later

The drinks, the ramen, the dessert...we love it all, and we love spending our money at a local business. For years now, the kitchen has substituted rice for ramen for me because I have gluten intolerance. I have always asked respectfully, explained why, and said thank you, every single time. Tonight my husband and I walked down to Strangebird for dinner, ordered drinks and dinner, and I had *just* said to my husband that Strangebird has come to feel like a second home. Then the server came out and told us that the chef has decided they will no longer permit any modifications, including those that meet dietary needs. We were out on the quiet patio surrounded by other customers, so on top of being totally blindsided, it was actually pretty embarrassing, too. Folks, let me tell you how much I wish I could just eat the ramen noodles like everybody else. So much food that I love (and in some cases spent years learning to make myself) went out the window forever when my body stopped being able to handle wheat. But at Strangebird, I could still go in and enjoy the depth of flavor in every other component of a bowl of ramen. And that meant the absolute world to me. I'm heartbroken.
