Started of with chips. Paid extra for the white sauce and Spinach dip. Neither were any good but Spinach dip was very disgusting. Like wise the entrees were bland, typical Mexican restaurant. same ole same ole. Our server had no time for us as he must of had a dozen tables. Never again this place. Describe in one word. Great chips, great salsa, food is good, depending on what you order. I really like the chilles poblanos, because the red sauce is good, but the cheese is not a good quality. If they used better cheese, the chilles poblanos would be 5-stars! Same for tacos... it's ok but would be much better if they used better cheese. read more

By far my favorite place to get Mexican food! The cheese dip is top notch and I love getting the ACP, arroz con pollo. The waiters are knowledgeable about the menu, fast, and friendly. They also have a fun birthday celebration. read more

My wife and I had an early dinner today at the Yucatán restaurant and it was a return visit as the first one had gone so well. Even though we had a different server today, China, the demeanor and courtesy was the same. The meal was superb, well prepared , plentiful and quite affordable. Unlike other similar restaurants in the area, we were not rushed through the meal and the ambience was such that we could actually talk to each other without having to talk over other loud noises or music. We will return again and look forward to it read more

The waitress was kind and personable. She was training a new waitress who was also kind but not as knowledgeable about the menu. The food came out and there was a confusion about the "chicken" tamale I ordered. Come to find out they only have pork tamales (which is not indicated on the menu). The place was excellent! Speedy seating and speedy service. As I've said in past reviews I travel a lot, I also eat at some terrible places and have had some places just go above all the rest. Not real big on fast food so I try places I haven't been before. And I have to tell you, this place stands out! Food was great and there was a lot of it on my plate. Our server was zipping all over the place and was always stopping by and asking us if everything was ok and stayed on top of the drinks. I didn't have to wait for anything. Seating was very fast even during the dinner rush! I spent a little over $30 for two huge plates of food that I could barely finish. The food was great there was a large variety the menu was huge but super organized! My server Christopher was amazing he was running around checking on us and made sure my drink was always full! I can't remember what I got but it came with a guacamole salad which was amazing! And chicken and rice the chicken had a green sauce on it which was really good the guacamole I highly recommend putting salt on though but other than that it was great! read more

I'm came here because the reviews were so good. The food, however, was not so good. Now I'm not a history expert but I'm pretty sure that when Marco Polo came back from his travels to the far east, word of the spices he brought back eventually made its way to Spain before Hernán Cortés made his way to present day Mexico. In fact I'm sure of it because I love Mexican food for the wonderful flavors and the spices they use in their cooking. I'm not sure that Yucatan is aware of the fabulous variety of spices that can make your food taste oh so good. Seriously, it was some of the blandest Mexican food I've ever tasted. To be fair though, this is another one of those places that Americanize Mexican food. It drives me crazy. When I go to a Mexican restaurant, I want Mexican food. Not a version someone thinks will satisfy my American palate. Don't get me wrong, I love American food but I came here for Mexican food. Sorry Yucatan, but the food was subpar. read more

Food is usually either burnt, over seasoned, or undercooked. Me and the wife have ate there twice and each time we got food poisoning. Not worth the money nor the constant bathroom visit. read more

A community favorite for many years, Yucatán stays busy. Today, they were especially busy and being short-handed did not help. After a longer-than-normal wait, I was seated. I am sorry to have to say they had not wiped and sanitized our table. When our drinks came, the straws were unwrapped and in our drinks. These are small things unless one is trying to avoid getting a cold, flu, or worse. Since we haven't had this happen before, we plan to continue to eat at Yucatán. There is a reason they are busy. In general, this is your standard Mexican restaurant. I'm giving them 4 stars because the food is consistently good and the staff is friendly and competent. I meet a group of people up here every week. We are a fairly large group and they handle our orders expediently, especially given that a handful of our group has special orders. We're in from out of town and my family suggested Mexican. While most are the same to me, I generally don't argue with Mexican. We had a group of 12, but they sat us (on Black Friday) within a couple of minutes. I often order a chicken chimichanga, but they are often not well made. I asked our server if they are soft or crunchy and he said they could do it either way. I opted for crunchy. The chicken chimichanga was maybe the best I've ever eaten! And it came out with rice, beans and queso. Generally places bring rice, beans, queso, lettuce and tomatoes (all mixed up). I like the way Yucatan does it. Our server, Gustavo, was on his game. Well, congratulations for making the "git your hate on list" there Yucatan. Arrive and get seated in a corner with 2 tables of kids and another single guy... I thought "so, this must be where they hide the undesirable folks... Ok, don't notice much until I look at the window. All I could see in my mind was an episode of Kitchen Nightmares. The blinds were torn up and disgusting... Then you notice the dead bugs... I order the Poblano and asked "is it like the chile relleno pepper?" And she says yes. Oh, great! I get he usual chips and salsa and ask for the spicy salsa (you see in reviews). It turns out to be one small dish of habanero mix... The plate arrives and I'm immediately not pleased. Pictures are included and it was as nasty plate of soggy diaper. For the love or depends, just wrong. They have wifi and you can see a "Yucatan" on the list... But when I ask for the password no one seems to know it. Finally a manager comes over and he's like "where is it, it's called this"... I said "you can see the list for yourself, it's not here"... He's confused and at first acts like its my fault it's not showing up, um ok. Thanks, I'm not an idiot. Then his confusion turns to "Ok, were not picking it up on this side, do you want to move". Being Californian, I don't want to be *too* harsh on this place. The waitress was great! But I don't quite understand why there's only 2 waitresses working when the place seems super busy? I called in an order and was way less than impressed with what I got. My daughter and I both order the carne asada. This is usually seasoned and served with sauteed tomatoes. My family's food was good. Kids enchilada, kids cheese burger and fajitas. I ordered 2 Chili Rellenos and cheese enchilada. I got a plate full of ground beef. "Chili Relleno" is a mound of ground beef with a piece of pepper hidden in the bottom and melted cheese on top.
