I'm visiting in Sumter, and I've never heard of Moe's. The first time I went there, last week, it was about 7:45 in the evening. I walked in, no greeting enthusiastic or otherwise. I may have been the only customer in the restaurant. As it was my first time, I inquired "how are things worked", young lady in front of me give me a blank stare and said will you tell us what you want and we make it. OK, maybe my fault for asking a vague question, but I was expecting some embellishment. I tried a more directed approach, and I asked which of the meats was the adobo chicken (in the parts they were all kind of the same color), and were any of the meats spicy. The counter person looked like my questions were an imposition, pointed a finger and identified the adobo and provided that none of them were spicy. Having managed retail locations for a national chain how many years, I was really put off by her apathy (could've been having a bad day) and let her know that was OK I'd find somewhere else to have dinner, then left. OK, that was a long intro to get to my main point. Yesterday I was driving by and saw a sandwich board out by the street said $5 burritos. Score! I decided to try it again for lunch. I entered and got a rousing welcome. I asked if there was any particular burrito that was five dollars and a pleasant helpful young man said "no they were all five dollars unless I asked for extra meat or added bacon". Fair enough. I ordered an adobo chicken burrito and was pleasantly surprised that there was no up charge for adding guacamole to it. I added chips and guac and a drink and enjoyed a very nice, tasty lunch. They could've wrapped the burrito a little tighter, neither end it was tucked in. I unrolled and re-rolled it and it was fine. Moral of the story, maybe avoid this location after sundown. read more

We always loved the food at Moe's however they should probably work on hiring people with better customer service skills. The young man who made our burritos was very nice and accommodating. The woman who was cashing us out acted like the world was crashing down around her and couldn't wait to just get rid of us. I must add that this was around 11:30 on a Tuesday morning and they were very few people in the restaurant and no line. I never get the welcome to moes here {sad face} lol and I've been here 5 or 6 times. I never get any smiles either (like not mean, just clearly don't want to be there) but hey.... I'm not judging food places right now. I feel like the pandemic has sucked the life out of everyone in the food service industry! We always get our food quick, and it always tastes yummy. Moe's is well Moe's. Food is ok and service was good. I hate that they expect a tip for just giving you your food at the counter. Place was clean and had comfortable seats. I can only go to Moe's 1 or 2 times a year. Just not good on a regular basis. read more

I have been to several Moe's in different markets and this one is living up to the quality that other stores have. Having been here a few weeks now in a row for $5 Monday's and while the food is always great, they seem to really suffer from serious attention to detail in the dining room. No salsa, lids for to go bowls, forks, plastic cups for salsa, no bowls for queso are just a few things I have seen since they opened. Management is clearly to blame for lack of oversight to me. Good food is what you want to serve, but people still need to be able to eat with a fork! Still getting four stars until they really start to make this a pattern. read more

Gave 3 stars because the mask mandate I dont understand if your gonna enforce it why let customers take them off to eat. Yeah that's right cant wear them and eat at the same time. Real odd there sign on the door might need to change it to say maybe have to wear one to order. Not must have one on to be in the building. Over all very clean restrooms including. Food very good though I still prefer qdoba. Staff very polite and friendly welcome everyone by saying welcome to moe's. I think we will be back. read more

Moe's, for the most part, is subpar. Most of the time, you'll walk in, get a half assed "welcome to Moe's" greeting, get in line, pick out which premade bland rice you want, a baby scoop of meat, old veggies and cheese and pay up front. The one thing I enjoy more than Chipotle is their fresh jalapeños. If Chipotle had fresh jalapeños, I would never go to Moe's.... which isn't saying too much since the only time I do go is if my coworkers decide to have lunch there. The most interesting thing I noticed is the manager. I went there during my lunch, and it was busy, or so I thought. I realized the hold up was the manager who was working the first station. He took his sweet time doing EVERYTHING. It took 10 minutes from walking in to getting out of the FIRST station. WELCOME TO MOE'S! I this place! It's like a Subway, but for "Tex-Mex" or Southwestern fare. I love their Chicken Bacon Quesadilla with all the fixings that are always SO FRESSH. I've always gotten the same thing every time I go to any Moe's. I'm not sure if it was the queso, rice or ground beef that was different, but this was the best burrito I've ever had in my life. The staff was very friendly and quick. The dining room was very well kept... All-In-All, this location is the best I've ever been to, and Moe's is one of my favorite places to go. I normally LOVE this moe's. The food is great and the service for pick up and in person ordering is good. The other night I decided to order takeout and not only did our food come 30 minutes late, we ONLY got chips. We ordered 3 bowls, a coke, queso, and chips. I understand that everyone makes mistakes and that the whole order was not brought which was not the thing that I had an issue with. The issue I had is when I called moes the lady was very unprofessional and kept saying there was "nothing she can do". THERE WAS NOTHING SHE COULD DO ABOUT A CUSTOMER NOT GETTING THEIR FOOD?!?! As you would expect this was very frustrating. I ended up just having to cancel my whole order and get my money back but that didn't help the fact that I literally didn't have dinner!! I'm usually not such a "karen" about these type of things but I was so upset. I can't believe that a franchise would have such a shitty back up plan for when people don't get their food. Food is good, not as good as it could be. General Manager needs to learn how to smile more! He seems like a grumpy dude who hates to be at work. Lose the "attitude", and start training your employees to do the cleaning that you are currently doing, start coaching, and making Moe's better. Ordered pickup to avoid the crazy lines. Food was delicious. Parking is a bit wild but it'll likely get better once the "newness" wears off. There's a sign on the door warning that you'll get towed if you park in That Flippin Egg's parking lot, FYI. read more

I'll give three stars since this Moe's is just opening, but regardless I'd expect for the employees to at least to know how to fold a burrito and common sense to put another fool wrap around it if half of my burrito is literally spilling out?
