In the old location it seems like the wait was not as long. Sadly waiting over 20 minutes to just get a table in Sumter is kinda of weird to me. The place is good, but the issue was lack of staff bc they had open tables when we sat down. Really enjoyed the breakfast, two eggs, bacon, and toast all cooked perfectly! Visited after going to Swan Lake, definitely a nice spot for breakfast or Brunch. My server was very sweet, took great care of me. Ordered lots of food to try, my favorite were the grits with cheddar added. You can tell they were stone ground grits and made well. The OJ was also really good, nice and fresh. Huge disappointment! Showed up with a party of seven to celebrate my moms 70th birthday. We called ahead for reservations, which sadly they don't offer. They said that they would try to bump us up upon arrival for having called ahead though. We arrived prepared to wait the 45 minutes they quoted us, watching so many parties of 2-4 being sat ahead of us. This restaurant has many small tables that can be merged together, instead of saving two tables for us they continued to seat all smaller groups that came in after us. An hour into our wait they said there was nothing they could do unless we were willing to sit outside in the height of mosquito season. To top, the French vanilla latte I ordered during our wait was nothing more than a lightly caffeinated milk, very flavorless, do not recommend. read more

The parking lot was a bit packed, and the lobby was buzzing, so we figured the food must be pretty awesome and popular After a quick 15-20 minute wait, we were welcomed and got our drinks. About 10 minutes later, our food arrived, and we dug in I had the Egg Bomb BLT with home fries--a light yet satisfying twist on the classic BLT with a fried egg on a brioche bun. The rest of the fam enjoyed over-medium eggs, bacon, toast, home fries, a turkey avocado blt, and some fruit and yogurt (Honey Berry Crunch) with a blueberry muffin All in all, the food was great. I've been to this chain, but in Greenville, which is always delicious. I ordered the Pick 3 omelet with home fries and toast and the food was undercooked. The bread wasn't toasted and the home fries tasted stale or bad. I feared the worst, so I stopped eating the home fries potatoes. I couldn't put my finger on it, but it didn't taste right. The omelet was ok, but the cheese wasn't melted. It was like someone was rushing them to get the food out but I'm not sure why. The service was OK. On a quick visit to South Carolina to celebrate my good friend's union and my birthday, I decided to treat myself to brunch at Eggs Up Grill, which was about a 4-5 minute drive from my hotel. I had randomly looked up brunch spots before traveling and made up my mind that this is where I would end up, although I wanted the trusty All-Star Meal from Waffle House. I was pleased to find that my selection came with great reviews from a few friends, so I had to make sure I made it there. Upon arrival, I was greeted within the first minute of crossing the threshold and informed that there was a wait, then my name and number were added to the list. The wait was not too long, and the text alerts made this seamless as I was able to sit in my car until it was time. I was seated at the counter since I was alone and the place was pretty busy. The couple next to me were basically scraping their plates, adding excitement to my anticipation. lol My food came, and I wanted to order more because I finished it so fast -- it was sooooo good!!! I am in Jersey now, wishing that I could indulge some more. It was a delightful birthday treat, and the staff were really fun and kind, and they handled the rush very well. I was happy to see there was a brief break in the number of customers for them as I was leaving, because it seemed like a never-ending line. First time at new location. We tried the mini doughnuts with the carmel sauce... excellent. But toast was almost burned, potatoes were not hot and a fly buzzed around our table entire time. The main dining room needs dividers or something as noise bounces off the wall. Now more good things other than the delicious doughnuts. Love eggs up. There are a few employees that work here that have been there for a while and I truly enjoy seeing them when I come in. However- lately- they seem more stressed than usual. I feel like their location is a bit small for the demand they usually have (especially on Sundays!) But besides all that- if you love a good breakfast you literally can't go wrong with anything on the menu. I ordered the shrimp and grits omelette with gravy on the side so I can dip my toast. It was delicious, portions are fulfilling, the food was flavorful, and the staff was really friendly and had great recommendations. The peach cobbler pancakes is also bussin. My gf who doesn't like pancakes because to her waffles over pancakes had it and it was a game changer. Her outlook on pancakes changed and she said it was the best pancakes she's ever had. Went for breakfast this morning around 10:00 a.m. It was quite busy all the tables were full and there was a waiting list, the people in front of me were told 15 minutes. I was alone and noticed nobody sitting at any of the seven seats at the breakfast counter. I asked the young lady at the hostess stand if I could just sit there and she told me that she would have to ask everyone else on the waiting list before I could sit there. I waited about 5 minutes, one party of four got seated, a couple of others added their name to the waiting list, one gentleman who was also looking to sit at the breakfast counter told me he had been there five minutes before me, and he left. I have never been to a restaurant where there was a breakfast counter or a bar and be told I couldn't sit at these until all the people on the waiting list had the opportunity to sit there first. The hostess should have asked them when they put their name on the waiting list if they would like to sit at the breakfast counter, but obviously she didn't. I and the other gentleman asked to be seated there and were told we couldn't. I don't know about the other gentlemen, but there is to many places in Sumter that offer breakfast for me to deal with the poor customer service I was given today. read more

I've heard so many great things about it and they really lived up to it .We ordered online and it was ready for pickup when we got their and was still hot by the time we got home.
